JavaScript - Refresh Main Page When Popup Being Closed

I had a php page, which contains links when I click on a link it will issue a new page, I want to make the main page to be refreshed once the new page being closed. hi, In my pop up window is a form, at the moment I am validation the formfield but I also would like to close the window and refresh the main window when the form is submitted?! I'm using submodal-1.6 for popup. When the popup closes I wanted parent page to refresh.I've tried the following window.opener.location.load(); window.opener.location.load(true); location.load(); window.parent.location.reload(); All works for IE, but when coming to mozilla ,firefox the refresh is a step delayed, i.e when I open my popup to add an itme to my cart on parent page ,for the first time it does not show anything , but when I try to add another item , the first one shows. What I am opening is, an upload page to upload an image (PHP / AJAX). Once the upload is complete and I close the window, I need the parent window (the index page which the link to open the popup is on) to be refreshed, so you can see that the file has been successfully uploaded. Does anyone have a clue how I would fix this? If I need to use another code to open the popup, that's fine, I just need help on how to fix this, since I haven't been able to find the answer myself. Using this website as an example: http://www.coastalcontacts.com/cFaq.html You can see that the FAQ questions open and close as you click on them, leaving the page looking clean for the most part. Now I am writing up a landing page that will be doing something similar, however I would like the page to scroll down as each new question is opened up. Meaning I click on one of the faq questions closer to the bottom of the page and then it scrolls down to show all the new content. This does not need to happen for questions that do not go to the bottom of the page and are fully visible. I have two buttons in popup window, "Cancel" and "Save". If the user clicks either button, there is a "process" at parent window before close() at popup being called. The problem now is, if the user click the "X" sign at top right corner of that popup window, how to trigger the "process"? I think I can do nothing in popup window since the closure is unexpected programmatically. Can I put some kind of listener in parent window to detect if popup is closed? I have the code below in my popup window which currently brings up a blank page in the background as the main window. hi i have a html page that has a link "OPEN POP UP" when this link is clicked a new pop up window is opened. and this pop has two LINKS first is ONE and second is TWO. what i want to do is. when any of these LINKS is clicked on the popup the should close and the my main html page from where the popup came should execute a javascript function. please help Hello, glad to be here!! The contents page contains a list of hyperlinks each of which opens a PDF document in the same window. The search box does exactly what it's intended to do, but the problem is this: if the user clicks on "Find next" or "Find previous" once the PDF document is open, an error occurs; the same error occurs if the user then navigates back to the contents page and clicks on "Find next" or "Find previous". We are building an opera extension in which we are trying to use the document object property (document.body.innerHTML) in order to obtain the source of the main page of a site. In most cases it provides us with the correct page source but for certain sites (ones that have multiple document layers), it doesn't return the top most document. For instance, for the site (https://www.pcisecuritystandards.org/) we would like to source for the main page that is displayed but once the entire page is loaded, the document property would display the source for another layer (https://s7.addthis.com/static/r07/sh...rev=86981&xd=1) This perhaps has to do with how opera loads the document layers in a page. The button ID is "CmdFinish" and the value is "saved". Is there ANY way i can make the script run only on a page refresh? **Note** The script is for a specific page and not the whole site, so it wont run on every refresh on the site, only when it's needed on 1 page. |
