JavaScript - Getelementbyid Appears To Strip Formatting

Good morning,

On my website I want a centered popup where you can fill in a webform. Ofcourse I want to use a table for it so it can have a nice layout.

However when I use a "div" which I can show or hide via a Javascript (showhide) and I put a table in that div, then the webform in that table is already show on the upper left side of my website. If I click the link to show the div, only a blank div will appear in the center of my screen.

This is the code I used:

In this case the word "TEST" will appear in the upperleft of my screen while the div is hidden. If I click the link, a blank div will appear in the center of the screen.

If I don't use a table, bu only the word "TEST", then all works fine like it supposed to be.

So I guess the issue is the <table>-function?

What am I doing wrong?

This is a class assignment and I can't get it to run. I can't figure out what's wrong. This is most of the script. One part isn't finished yet, but I was still expecting functionality to test.

I need to have it load in IE but I can't get it to. Nothing shows up.
In Firefox I get the right look but when I click "Run" I don't get a prompt at all.

I figured out how the script works. The only problems I'm having are I would like to get rid of the border that is around the container and the up and down images. Also, I would like it so that as the browser window gets bigger or smaller, the width and height of the content div expands with the browser.

We have a roster for Starcraft 2 and when you hover over one of the pictures it displays more info however if you start to scroll and hover you can no longer see it. We need to make so that you can see the hover over no matter where you are on the page. I'm pretty sure the problem is in style #10 of the js code posted below.

Is there an easy way of creating one file with the website menu code that is used on each page of a website?

At present I use frames which work well except search engines don't direct through the frameset so only the content is loaded not the menu.

Hi guys. I'm trying to write a macro, but I'm lost. So say if I have an array of keywords to check for on a web page,

I'm using greybox for the first time, and it seems there's something buggy in my javascript. Have a look he

The links are actually image maps on different areas of the "book." Click on any of the six to bring up a greybox slide show.

My problem is the images often don't appear, but if you then navigate past that image and then back, it invariably shows up. I'm not proficient in javascript, but have been around long enough that when a problem as inconsistent as this happens, it's often because of some sort of conflict in code.

I've looked for other similar posts and have found none. After banging my head against this for most of the afternoon, I'm hoping someone will see what I'm missing here.

trying to find a example of when you hover over a image, text appears on the bottom

so it could be a picture of a dog, whne you put your mouse over it, text will show in the picture (ie* transparent background for text so it's readable)

Essentially what I am trying to get without much success on the issue is this:

I want an icon in my template that, when you click on that certain icon (image), a drop down menu appears. You know when you click the file option in your browser's toolbar, and a drop down menu appears? It can be just like that, but instead of save as and open, links will be there to places within our intranet opened in a new window.

This has to work for IEX 7+ because that's all our company decides to use. I tried to submit a chang erequest for them to move to a better CSS/Javascript supportive browser such as Opera, Firefox, Google Chrome... but they're way too fixed on IEX for some odd reason.

I am obliged for any help on this.

*edit* colors dont matter. It can be the default colors used in a basic drop down menu. I figure javascript would have more options though.

I have a form and need to populate FIELD2 with the result of FIELD1.

Field one is a dynamic list from a database, where the value is an ID#, but the list shows the name.

I want to populat FIELD2 with the name that is chosen, not the id (I can't get anything to work)

Hopefully some of you guys can help. I'm self taught in Javascript so only know little bits here and there (and don't even know if the thread title is labelled right for what I'm doing!) so help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm trying to create 4 buttons on a page (buttons shown by "click here to view c1, c2" etc.) however after I've clicked one button and the content is showing below, the content from the next button clicked does not show (almost as if it is hidden underneath).

I'm looking for a way of showing the content when the button is clicked, but hiding it once another button is clicked so other content is shown. Hopefully this is clear enough.

All help, tips or advice will be appreciated. Thankyou.

In my code below, I cannot get the setting_id value as it falls outside of the loop.

I have just tried to put in the getElementById function but it's not working?!
I get the error: missing ) after formal parameters

quick question, i have 640 hidden html inputs like this but with different names.
<input type="hidden" name="b1r1c1" value"some value">

now i want to use
document.getElementById('b1r1c1).value = "whatever";

will that work eventhough there is no id on my hidden value.

it will be in a hta by the way.
