JavaScript - How To Make Rtsp Request In Html5 Or In Javascript?
How to make request "rtsp://localhost:554/sample_100kbit.mp4"? (in HTML5 or Javascript) I want to access video streaming data which source is present on Darwin server
Similar TutorialsI am new to javascript (I started learning it today) so please explain it for newbies. I am trying to get the amount of video (in seconds) buffered already by the client and the whole duration of the video. Then, I divide them to get the precentage which was buffered so far. I have no problem storing the durating using: Code: var duration = document.getElementById('vid').duration - returns "12.6" (seconds) I am struggling with getting the buffered time. I tried: Code: var buffered = document.getElementById('vid').buffered This one returns "[object TimeRanges]". From what I understood this is some kind of an object (Like an array?). I tried returning "buffered.length" and I get "1" back. Please explain how I can do this. thanks I have a code that will randomly select a div from a list and inside of that div i want there to be a sound file. How would I use html5 and javascript to make it so that when a user clicks a button it would play whatever sound was associated with that button? I do not need my users to be able to pause them. I really didn't know where to start with the javascript but i do have the html5 Code: <audio controls="controls"> <source src="BlackHawkDown-MusicVideo-Frontline.wav" type="audio/wav" /> <source src="BlackHawkDown-MusicVideo-Frontline.mp3" type="audio/mpeg" /> Your browser does not support the audio element. </audio> THANKS!!!! On all my html 5 pages of http://www.countyfairgrounds.net I have a drop down javascript menu for selecting a state. The thing has worked for years fine. However in switching to html5 the validator will not validate it. The are saying the option tag is obsolete. First I don't java, I do html5 and css3 currently. Ca anyonepoint me to a script dropdown that I can cut and paste - that will validate?
Sorry if this is the wrong forum for this question. I get confused about what forum to post a question in with regards to DHTML technologies since they are all frequently used together. Anyhoo, heres my question. I've recently discovered an interesting behavior. When I mouse over a nested element it triggers the 'onmouseout' event handler of the parent element. Take the following code snippet, for instance: Code: <table> <tr> <td onmouseout="window.alert('you moused out of td');"> <img src="image0.gif" style="height:50px; width:50px;" /> </td> </tr> </table> In the code snippet above, the 'onmouseout' event handler executes when you mouse over the image nested inside the <td> element. I wouldn't have thought this would be the appropriate behavior since from my perspective the mouse is still inside the <td> element. Can someone make comments on this. Thank You. Edit: I've discovered that mousing over a nested element causes both an 'onmouseout' and an 'onmouseover' event for the parent element. They are called back to back. Seems a little bit of an odd sequence of events but maybe it makes sense in the grand scheme of things. Yeah, right. Hi there, I am just writing to see if I can receive some help regarding an issue I'm having? I have written this application: http://bit.ly/dOHwhp - It allows the user to make melodies and change the speed of playback. It uses HTML5 and JavaScript. What I'd really like to do is have the ability for the user to save the melody in some respect. At the moment, I am using a parse harsh method. I thought potentially the user could save the #... and then load it from the URL. I have a method of loading it from the URL but no current way of 'saving' it and loading the saved version, as such. I have a feeling it would be far more advanced but, I would love to have a download feature like they have on this site: http://patternsketch.com/ Could anyone help out? This is my JavaScript file as it stands (although all files can be discovered in the source code of the page) Code: // ===== VARIABLES ===== var isPlaying = false; var curNote = 0; var curTempo = 100; // ===== FUNCTIONS ===== // playTune: Play the next note! function playTune() { if (isPlaying !== false) { var nextNote = 60000 / curTempo / 4; // Turn off all lights on the tracker's row $("#tracker li.track").removeClass("active"); // Light up the tracker on the current track $("#tracker li.track.col_" + curNote).addClass("active"); // Find each active note, play it var tmpAudio; $(".playBar[id^=control] li.track.active.col_" + curNote).each(function(i){ tmpAudio = document.getElementById($(this).data('sound_id')); if (!tmpAudio.paused) { // Pause and reset it tmpAudio.pause(); tmpAudio.currentTime = 0.0; } tmpAudio.play(); }); // Move the track forward curNote = (curNote + 1) % 16; } // if (isPlaying) } // playTune // Make a new hash function buildHash() { // Start it var newhash = ''; // For each track, check and add in a 0/1 as appropriate $(".playBar[id^=control] li.track").each(function(i){ newhash += $(this).is('.active') ? I cannot work out why, the link below gives the code. The multi channel code is he http://www.storiesinflight.com/html5/audio.html I installed Firebug and insepcted the Net components and can see that the .wav files are being sought out but returning a 404 error. This would be fine, however the path being sought is correct. Clicking link does'nt play the sound, but removing the file and paring back to the directory brings you to the directory on the server and clicking the file does play the sound. The code works locally, and I simply cannot see what could be causing the issue in the server versions on both Firefox and Chrome. Hi everyone, I am trying to make an image mask using javascript. The basic idea is that the image on the canvas will appear as a black box. When the user hovers over the image a small part of it is revealed. I have attached a picture as an example because its quite hard to explain! Any help would be appreciated! Thanks, Luke I need to be able to drag an image from one browser window to a form text input in a different window, populating it with the image file name. I can do this easily, except that the result is the whole url, and I only want the filename to be inserted. In other words, it inserts http://www.path/path/file.jpg, but I just want to end up with file.jpg. I believe the file object .name property holds the info I need, but I don't know how to populate the input field with it. Any help appreciated. All I am using my SOAP API using java script. this example explain how to send single soap request using js Code: var symbol = "MSFT"; var xmlhttp = new XMLHttpRequest(); xmlhttp.open("POST", "http://www.webservicex.net/stockquote.asmx?op=GetQuote",true); xmlhttp.onreadystatechange=function() { if (xmlhttp.readyState == 4) { alert(xmlhttp.responseText); // http://www.terracoder.com convert XML to JSON var json = XMLObjectifier.xmlToJSON(xmlhttp.responseXML); var result = json.Body[0].GetQuoteResponse[0].GetQuoteResult[0].Text; // Result text is escaped XML string, convert string to XML object then convert to JSON object json = XMLObjectifier.xmlToJSON(XMLObjectifier.textToXML(result)); alert(symbol + ' Stock Quote: $' + json.Stock[0].Last[0].Text); } } xmlhttp.setRequestHeader("SOAPAction", "http://www.webserviceX.NET/GetQuote"); xmlhttp.setRequestHeader("Content-Type", "text/xml"); var xml = '<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>' + '<soap:Envelope xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" ' + 'xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema" ' + 'xmlns:soap="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/">' + '<soap:Body> ' + '<GetQuote xmlns="http://www.webserviceX.NET/"> ' + '<symbol>' + symbol + '</symbol> ' + '</GetQuote> ' + '</soap:Body> ' + '</soap:Envelope>'; xmlhttp.send(xml); // ...Include Google and Terracoder JS code here... Now i want to send multiple soap request at a time (mean request more than one envelop). I'm using jquery right now but I sort of understand what the problem is. I'm making a file manager and when you click on an li tag it will do some action depending on if it's a file type or a folder type. There are 3 important files you should know about. 1. filemanager.php (Where the file managing takes place. Starts by including filemanager_getfile.php and including filemanager.js in the head). 2. filemanager_getfile.php (Information that receives information from the ajax request [the directory to be read] and prints the new file list in <li> tags) 3. filemanager.js (Jquery that processes li clicks) The problem is, when you click on a folder (and it loads the new information from the ajax request) the jquery doesn't check the new li tags when clicked (I'm guessing when you first link the javascript file it has to compile all of the current li information?). Try it for yourself- [removed] Instruction (if it's not already obvious): -Clicking a file selects if. If files are selected and you click the arrow in the file options it will transfer it (not really, but it will later). -Clicking a folder will send an ajax request with the new directory information to be checked and return the html -Clicking the '?' in the file options will display the pages html (I implemented it to debug). I have tried linking the js page every time I include the new directory information, but the js stacks on each other. So if I click on 3 folders and hit the '?' button it will display the page html 3 times. And if I select the index.php li and click transfer, it will "transfer" 3 times. filemanager.php Code: <div id="goldenSub"> <div class="title">Golden Subdomain</div> <div class="files" id="goldenSubFiles"> <? include("filemanager_getfiles.php"); ?> </div> <div id="history" visited="goldensub/"></div>; <div class="fileOptions"><img src="images/question.png" title='HTML Information' id="ask"><img src="images/transferto.png" title='Copy File To' id="transferTo"></div> </div> filemanager_getfiles.php PHP Code: <? $path = $_REQUEST["dir"]; if($path == "" || $path == null) { $path = 'goldensub/'; } echo "\n<div class='path'>$path</div>\n<ul>\n"; $handler = opendir($path); //We need to organize the results. Be default, all files and folders will be //located by alphabetical order. But we want to list all folders first, followed //by files. By adding the results to arrays first we can decide to print our //results in the order we want. $folderArray = array(); $fileArray = array(); $folderCount = 0; $fileCount = 0; while(false !==($file=readdir($handler))) { if($file != "" && $file != null && $file != "." && $file != "..") { $extensionLocation = strrpos($file, "."); //Is this a folder or a file? if($extensionLocation == null && $extensionLocation == "") { //This is a folder unless it's the error_log file. if($file != "error_log") { //Nope, it's definitly a folder. Add it to the folder array. $folderCount++; $folderArray[$folderCount] = $file; } } else { //This is a file. Add it to the file array. $fileCount++; $fileArray[$fileCount] = $file; } } } if($path != 'goldensub/') { echo "\t<li title='goldensub/' type='folder'>\n\t\t<img src='images/up.png'> goldensub\n\t</li>\n"; } for($i = 1; $i<=$folderCount; $i++) { $newPath = $path.$folderArray[$i].'/'; echo "\t<li title='$newPath' type='folder'>\n\t\t<img src='images/folderOpen.png'> $folderArray[$i]\n\t</li>\n"; } for($i = 1; $i<=$fileCount; $i++) { $extensionLocation = strrpos($fileArray[$i], "."); $nameLength = strlen($fileArray[$i]); $extensionLength = $nameLength-$extensionLocation; $nameClean = substr($fileArray[$i], 0, $extensionLocation); $extension = substr($fileArray[$i], $extensionLocation+1, $nameLength); echo "\t<li title='$fileArray[$i]' type='file' extension='$extension'>\n\t\t\n\t<img src='images/$extension.png'> $nameClean\n\t</li>\n"; } echo "</ul>"; ?> filemanager.js Code: $("li").click(function(){ var type = $(this).attr("type"); //This is a folder if(type == "folder") { //Path to new directory var newPath = $(this).attr("title"); //Ajax request to filemanager_getfiles.php $("#goldenSubFiles").load("filemanager_getfiles.php", { dir: newPath }, function(data){ //Update log newLog("Directory changed to <i><b>"+newPath+"</b></i>"); }); } //This is a file else { if($(this).hasClass("selected")) { //It's already selected - deselect it. $(this).removeClass("selected"); } else { //Select it $(this).addClass("selected"); } } }); Does anyone know how to make URL links that use Javascript still work when users have Javascript disabled on their browser? The only reason I'm using JS on a URL is because my link opens a PDF file, and I'm forcing it not to cache so users have the latest version. I tried the <script><noscript> tags, but I'm not sure if I'm using it correctly, as my URL completely disappears. Below is my HTML/Javascript code: <p class="download"> <script type="text/javascript">document.write("<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"javascript:void(0);\" onclick=\"window.open( 'http://www.webchild.com.au/mediakit/Direct_Media_Kit_Web.pdf?nocache='+ Math.floor( Math.random()*11 ) );\" >The Child Magazines Media Kit</a></span> (PDF 1 MB) ");</script> <noscript><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><a href="http://www.webchild.com.au/mediakit/Direct_Media_Kit_Web.pdf" >The Child Magazines Media Kit</a></span> (PDF 1 MB)</noscript> </p> Thanks for any help, Michael I have a script that clicks links how can i make it not click a certain. Every possible help will be appreciated I am very new to the world of programming and JavaScript but I have some Ideas which I would like to execute and I will learn anything and everything in the way to accomplish them... Program: user end: the page is about users priorities and displaying back the selected... the program work as a user reaction based comparison module... where the priorities stored in the program are shown 2 at a time and lets user to select what is more important to him and stores the result in another variable than that variable is shown with another variable which is already stored and the result out of that is stored in another new variable and so on.. in the end it show the result of important selected priorities... 1) say there are 6 variables storing string values: Code: <script type = "text/javascript"> var p1 = "Doctors appointment"; var p2 = "studying for the exam"; var p3 = "Going out for most awaited shopping"; var p4 = "Login on Facebook"; var p5 = "Replying to text msgs"; var p6 = "Go out with friends"; 2) there are two sections on the html document: i) where the variables are displayed dynamically and changes the value on click.. it works like a comparison where user selects (onclick) what is more important to him shows the next value and so on... in the end stores the result... functioning(I have no I idea how to do this): say on the html document only two variables are displayed at first and than the user selects one of it as more important to him so the result is stored in another new variable than that new variable is shown with the third stored variable and once one of them is selected it is stored in another new variable and is compared with forth stored variable and so on till the last selected is stored as the result1... all comparisons must happen on the same div of the html document procedure has to loop three times till 3 results (result1, result2, result3) out of six are selected more important... result1 has to be removed from the next loop for result 2 as result1 is already selected important by the user.. result1 and result2 are to be removed from the next loop for result 3 as they are already selected important by the user ii) the second section displays important 3 results (result1, result2, result3) selected by him... my friend told jQuery can do the dynamic comparison part but I don't know how to use it... the logic of creating new variable for storing result and then comparing can be improved or changed... BUT there is a issue when i started using the script in the script the width and height can be in px like width 500 but it can't be made to width 100% when i make it 100% the script stops working. I can't use px or any other thing except 100% as i want the flash to increase its width and height with the change in screen resolution. Here is the script, you can make a demo html file out of it for testing purposes, if you don't want to make one i am ready to provide a demo page too, please leave a comment for it.
