JavaScript - Need Javascript To Give Me Total With Decimals Not Round Up
Hi, my javascript calculates a total figure. It rounds it up though and I want it to give me a decimal (x2) total. Please help. Here is my code so far:

I am new in javascript function. I have Javascript code for auto calculate here is the code: Code: and now my problem is...I have a textbox for the overall total, and i want it automatic subtract the total earn and total deduction.. I will attach my codes for further understanding. Thank you in advance Hi, i followed a tutorial online on how to use Javascript to calculate total price. Everything works fine, when all the dropdown select value has it's own value and does not correspond to each other. Eg : Cake Type : Round $4.00 Cake Color : Red $3.00 Cake Filling : Raspberry $4.00 So total is $11.00 The problem comes when you want to add Cake Layers and the price of Cake Color changes based on No of Layers - 1 Layer , 2 Layer and so on. Eg: Cake Layer : Layer 1 $5.00 | Layer 2 $2.50 | Layer 3 $2.50 (for color Orange) Cake Layer : Layer 1 $7.00 | Layer 2 $4.00 | Layer 3 $4.00 (for color Red) Do i have to use if and else conditional statement for every possibility? I am just a beginner. Attached below is the example code i have so far.. Code: var filling_prices= new Array(); filling_prices["None"]=0; filling_prices["Lemon"]=5; filling_prices["Custard"]=5; filling_prices["Fudge"]=7; filling_prices["Mocha"]=8; filling_prices["Raspberry"]=10; function getFillingPrice() { var cakeFillingPrice=0; //Get a reference to the form id="cakeform" var theForm = document.forms["cakeform"]; //Get a reference to the select id="filling" var selectedFilling = theForm.elements["filling"]; //set cakeFilling Price equal to value user chose //For example filling_prices["Lemon".value] would be equal to 5 cakeFillingPrice = filling_prices[selectedFilling.value]; //finally we return cakeFillingPrice return cakeFillingPrice; } This is for the calculation Code: function calculateTotal() { //Here we get the total price by calling our function //Each function returns a number so by calling them we add the values they return together var cakePrice = getCakeSizePrice() + getFillingPrice() + candlesPrice(); //display the result var divobj = document.getElementById('totalPrice'); divobj.style.display='block'; divobj.innerHTML = "Total Price For the Cake $"+cakePrice; } Some sample of the HTML Code: Select Filling Lemon($5) Custard($5) Fudge($7) Mocha($8) Raspberry($10) Is there a better way of simplifying this calculation method ? How do i change the price of form values based on selected values on previous dropdown. Thanks in advance. I need to implement a function in JavaScript to calculate the total of the purchase which is equal to price of each tool * quantity ordered* sales tax=.08. I also need to use confirm() to display the total cost of the purchase so the user can see it. Code: function numbersOnly(evt) { var charCode = (evt.which) ? evt.which : event.keyCode if (charCode > 31 && (charCode < 48 || charCode > 57) && (charCode < 110 || charCode > 110) ) return false; return true; } Second Problem: I need to set a Minimum number users may type in the text field. Normally this would be a simple task, but the minimum number they may type is a decimal (0.10). The default value in the field is .50. I tried replacing the .50 with .09, and I can't get the field to run the script and set its new value to .10 (<- this is the minimum). Here is the code I am working with. Code: <?php $memberType = "free"; $creditsBalance = .5; $bannerBalance = 1000; $textBalance = 1000; ?>

Convert Credits

Convert Credits

Credits: <?php echo $creditsBalance; ?>
Banner Impressions: <?php echo $bannerBalance; ?>
Text Ad Impressions: <?php echo $textBalance; ?>

Convert Your Credits to Banner or Text Ad Impressions

Convert Credits to 0 Banner Impressions!

Convert Credits to 0 Text Ad Impressions!

Convert Your Impressions

Convert Banner Impressions to 0 Text Ad Impressions!

Convert Text Ad Impressions to 0 Banner Impressions!

Hi all, I have a problem that has my brain turning to goo... I have a function that mixed with php adds the total numerical valus from different dropdowns. Code: <?php if($z == 1) { ?> <?php }?> The total is then sent to an input field. Code:
Total Price: <?php echo $currency_type?><input class="product_title" name="sum" readonly style="background:none; border:none" value="<?php echo number_format($prodprice,2)?>">
All works well, but the output allows too many decimals, ie: 46.8966666 I have tried to implement the toFixed(2) with only errors as my reward. Any help would be appreciated KF Hi this is on my midterm review and I got the program down easily but I just wanted to know if there was an easy way of shortening down the answer to only 2 decimal places.possibly through division? Code: import java.util.*; public class StockSale { public static void main(String[] args) { Scanner input = new Scanner(System.in); double stockSale; // represent the stock sale price double commission; System.out.print("Please enter a the stock value price: "); stockSale = input.nextDouble(); if(stockSale < 100.00) commission = 20.00; else if (stockSale <= 999.99) commission = (20.00 + ((stockSale - 99.99)*.01)); else if (stockSale <= 9999.99) commission = (30.00 + ((stockSale - 999.99)*.005)); else if (stockSale <= 99999.99) commission = (75.00 + (( stockSale - 9999.99)*.0025)); else commission = ( 150.00 + ((stockSale - 99999.99)*.0015)); System.out.print("The commission on this stock sale is $" + commission ); } } i appreciate any help given thanks How would I go about creating a random number between 1-50 that COULD include whole numbers, decimals to the tenth, hundredth and the thousandth place? Ex) 2.145, 3, 5.8, 41.002, 10.12, 7, 18.023, 33.2 Also, if the only way to do it is to put trailing zeros to the thousandth place that's fine as well ex) 2.145, 3.00, 5.800, 41.002, 10.120, 7.00, 18.023, 33.200 Hey Guys, I'm working on a site and it needed borders with opacity, and since you can do it with CSS I done it With jQuery. But now I would like to round the corners of it, I did try border-radius, but it's only effecting the containing div not the borders(see below). Is there a solution to this? Here's the small snippet of JS: PHP Code: $('.mainContent').border({ width: 6, color: 'white', alpha: .4 }); Just started to learn java & came up with the following, but can't get the math.round to work. Anyone able to tell me where I'm going wrong please ???

what i cant figure out is how to round off the temperature in celcius so that it doesnt display something like 26.666666666667 i tried putting math.round in "cTemp = (5/9) * (number1 - 32);" but when i do my program doesnt work any advice on how to go about doing this? thanks Hello: I have this js function: Code: I want to round the value of Code: document.PaymentForm.newbalance.value to two decimal points.
