JavaScript - Load Code Based On Minute
I need a code that will load multiple codes based on what minute it is.
Example: If it's 12:31 it will load code A If it's 12:32 it will load code B (Lets just say there are only two codes) If it's 12:33 it will load code A If it's 12:34 it will load code B etc. I use to have this in a file somewhere, but over the course of the past few years I've misplaced it an am unable to find it. It would be much appreciated if I could get some help with this. Similar TutorialsHello house, How do you see this code, all i wanted is for the code to tell me when the count has completed 60secs = 1 minutes. Help me out... It's a basic question and answer game. A question is asked and if they type the right answer it brings them to a new page with a new question and continues on. Right now it's coded in a way that each question is a separate HTML page. I'm trying to find a way to get it so it's all on one page. Due to the nature of my code the best way I can think of is to have the content of those HTML pages load and replace a certain section of HTML code that's already on the page. Does this make any sense and if so is there such a solution? hello, iam kind of new at javascript, but iam trying my best to be better and better. so i have 3 divs (my_block, my_image, my_description) as you see in my code below Code: <div class = "my_block"> <div class = "my_image"> <img src="images/pic.jpg" width="600" height="600"> </div> <div class = "my_description"> <a> Description goes here.... ! </a> </div> </div> just i want to display the "my description" div only after the 100% image loading completion which exist in "my_image" div. so how can i get this done with Javascript please ?? thanks a lot Hello. I'm trying to improve page loads times on my site and I've tracked the issue down to the share buttons we have. We load the Tweet Button, Facebook Like Button, and Google +1 button sometimes up to 25 times on one page. What I'd like to do is, on initial load, display an image that looks like the Tweet Button, for example, and then when hovering over a div, change to the actual Tweet Button code. I know how to do this in general, but the key is that the actual tweet button code doesn't load when the page loads, only when you hover over the div does the actual code load. Can someone please give me a general template and I can integrate it in with my site? Thanks. Hi, I have a webpage structured as below and want the contents in the iframe to load prior to the code below it. At the moment the javascript(resizing stuff) in the iframe code delays the iframe from loading in full before the "streaming music player" code. This iframe javascript is on the page as opposed to an external file. I would have thought the iframe would have to load in full before the code below it would be executed. How do I make the iframe load in sequence or delay/hide the code below it until iframe is fully loaded? Thanks ####header#### flash ####header menu#### flash ####iframe#### lots of javascript and content from page on mywebsite (not external url) ###streaming music player##### embedded flash player linked to external site ####footer menu#### flash Basically, what I'm trying to do is set the left margin of an image based on the width of the image, because I want the image to appear centered relative to the link table above. I've been using this code: Code: function insertImageMargin() { var marg = getImageMargin(); document.getElementById("comic").style.marginLeft = marg + "px"; } function getImageMargin() { var com = document.getElementById("comic"); return 440 - com.width / 2; } What happens is, the first time com.width is 0, but if I hit reload, it is the width of the image, and the code works correctly. How do I get this to work the first time, or can you suggest an alternate approach? Hi, I'm trying to make something along the lines of a dynamic animated GIF. In other words, I'm trying to write a script to flip through images based on the current time. Before folks start suggesting other ways to do this, know that this is just a proof of concept. The reason for doing it this way is so that I can eventually control the animation either in response to interaction or external data queries (I'm looking into that js weather api). Code: int startTime = getTime(); float speed = 1.0; image frames = new Array(); //load frames into array for(int i = 0; i < 12; i++){ frames[i] = new Image(640,480); frames[i].src = "frames/" + i + ".JPG"; } //playback int i = 0; while(i < frames.length){ if( ((getTime()-startTime) % (speed*33)) == 0){ document.currentFrame.src = frames[i].src; i++; } } Thanks, Zach I am using a web tracking tool called REinvigorate, which is great but doesn't give you the ability to exclude specific referring domains from the stats. However, their support guy told me that I can accomplish this by referencing the referring domain in a small script that only calls the tracking code when the referring site is not "This one we don't want in our stats". I only know C# and SQL, though, so I'm not entirely sure how to do this. Is this right? spreecommerce.com is the domain we want to exclude... <script type="text/javascript"> if (document.referrer.search("/spreecommerce/") != -1) { document.getElementById('iFrameId').src = '<trackingcode>'; } </script> Thanks! Austin I have a javascript controlling the display of a DIV that I did a while back that needs a bit more tweaking to add function to hide the DIV on specific holidays. As it is now, by default, the DIV is being hidden unless it is M-F between 8:00AM-6:00PM: Code: <script type="text/javascript"> onload=function(){ var rightNow = new Date(); var day = rightNow.getDay(); var hour = rightNow.getHours(); var minute = rightNow.getMinutes(); var formDisplay = 'none'; // unless we see otherwise var forwardDisplay = 'block'; // unless we see otherwise if(day==1 || day==2 || day==3 || day==4 || day==5) { // if chat is avalable on these days if((hour>=8) && (hour<=17)) // if chat is avalable between these times formDisplay = 'block', forwardDisplay = 'none'; } document.getElementById('ChatForm').style.display = formDisplay; document.getElementById('ChatForward').style.display = forwardDisplay; } </script> Im assuming that I would just add more else if statements, but not really sure the cleanest way to assign specific dates using this format. Any help is appreciated Hi, Please i am not getting clear understanding of a javascript code to redirect user to a different web page based on the day of the week. I have 4 tabs, but I would like the imgs in tabs 2,3,4 to load after page load. Example of how the tabs look. Code: <div class="tabbertab"> <h2>Australia_____</h2> <table width="100%" border="0" cellpadding="3" cellspacing="1" bgcolor="#FFFFCC"> <caption class="highlight_Red">澳洲 Australia </caption> <tr> <td><a href="pages/promotion.html#aus_ACE" rel="nofollow" target="_blank"><img src="pages/images/Pics/AUS/ace.jpg" alt="ACE / ATTC" width="110" height="69" border="0" align="left" class="ozimg_L"/> ...a few more images etc the other tabs look the same. Operation Aborted. I understand it is caused by the jquery autocomplete function loading before the page / DOM has fully loaded. I tried adding Defer="true" to the script however this doesn't seem to work. Could someone please tell me what i must add to the script so that it loads after the dom has fully loaded? Thanks guys George I have a banner ad at the top of the page (created by javascript). It is sometimes flash, sometimes a div, sometimes just an image (the ad company determines this). I need it to appear at the top of the page, but I want it to load AFTER all of the rest of the page content has loaded. Here is a test page I've created to demonstrate this: http://jeremymoritz.com/js-test.php Here is the code with the javascript at the bottom so it will load last: Code: <html> <head> </head> <body> <div id='ad_spot'> <!--ad needs to go here--> </div> <div id='content'> <!--Content--> </div> <div id='load_last'> <script defer='defer' type="text/javascript"> var __fbr_pid = "1746"; var __fbr_bid = "18281"; var __fbr_sid = "4568"; var __fbr_size = "728x90"; var __fbr_auid = "28762"; var __fbr_zone = ""; </script> <script type='text/javascript' src='http://ads.foodieblogroll.com'></script> </div> </body> </html> </div> I've tried many things to fix this, but the javascript usually creates elements (iframes, divs, etc.) that are OUTSIDE of container div so manipulating the dom (to move the div or its contents to the <div id='ad_spot'>)has yielded unexpected results. Thank you in advance for your help! Hello Bit of a nightmare scenario but, the services page isn't loading and from what I can tell, IE 6,7 & 8 are throwing up the same error. It says: Line: 602 Char 5 Error: 'undefined' is null or not an object Code: 0 which refers to: vmlSegments.push('m'); if (glyph.o) { The page is here The script it is referring to is typeface.js: http://typeface.neocracy.org/ Hope someone can be a great help and tell me how I can get page loading again. All the other pages are fine. p.s. I'm not a coder but designer and hoping to get this fixed myself. Thank you. okay, im using this script to close a DIV, can i somehow link it so that it loads main.swf when the div is closed? Now the SWF is running in the bg. Hi to all I have a javascript code that when a page loads, some contents must be load within a given div tag. But the problem is that this javascript code sometimes work an somtimes Not work. Hello, I have a page that uses the Yahoo Buzz JS widget which renders a button and count of clicks from Yahoo servers. The display of the widget is at the top of the page - which causes the rest of the page to appear to load slowly (cause it's waiting on the Yahoo JS to finish). Ordinarily, I would place all JS calls at the bottom of the page as not to affect the performance of the rest of the page. But since this JS actually renders an UI element, I don't know how to move the code to the bottom of the page (if I move the JS, the UI widgit appears at the bottom). Any suggestions on how to do this? Code: <div class="swidgets"> <script type="text/javascript" src="http://d.yimg.com/ds/badge2.js" badgetype="square"> http://www.example.com/page.htm </script> </div> |
