JavaScript - Jquery/javascript Diffrence Script
nevermind i figured it out myself
Similar TutorialsI've got this script for string replacement that searches for a string, decides if it is inside of an "a" or "img" tag, and then replaces it with a new string. Unfortunately, I need it to read multiple inputs and outputs and then replace them. Here's the code: Code: <script type="text/javascript" src="http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.6.4/jquery.min.js"></script> <script type="text/javascript"> var newString='<a href="#">New String</a>'; var oldString="Old String"; var rex= new RegExp(oldString,"gim"); function replaceString(elem){ $(elem).contents().filter(function() { if($(this).get(0).tagName!="A" && $(this).get(0).tagName!="IMG"){ if(this.nodeType==3){ this.nodeValue=this.nodeValue.replace(rex,'##temp##'); }else{ replaceString(this); } } }); } $(document).ready(function(e) { replaceString('div#textarea'); $('div#textarea').html($('div#textarea').html().replace(/##temp##/gim,newString)); }); </script> The script currently replaces "Old String" with "New String". Can we make it replace "Old String #1" with "New String #1" as well as "Old String #2" with "New String #2"? Thank you all for any assistance you can give! Friends, i have a problem... I hope all pf you can solve my problem... It's all about Mega Menu JQuery. I already download the script in this javascriptkit.com And the problem is... I can't set the alignment of mega menu drop down because in this script to set the left alignment is using var menu left where this script is using calculation of windows width and mega menu size. in the example on javacriptkit.com using only one menu, how if in this case there is more than one menu? for example i already upload the picture to describe the problem. Picture 1 is i have put mega menu script and it's look good and fine. And then in the second menu where is the porblem begin. Picture 2 mega menu sliding on the left If i put the script in the third and more menu, the mega menu drop down sliding more left. It should be center. I' already found the problem script in .js but i'm still find the solutions... Pleas help me... my project is www.restomart.com ( already online ) and i want make a mega menu like www.surlatable.com ( online ) Pleas once again.HELP me .... Thanks so much... I've wrote a jQuery script to fade some lines of text on the page. I've tested it and know it works. I've tried adding it to my WordPress homepage and testing it locally, but it doesn't work, I don't really know what I'm doing, and I can't make heads nor tails of the codex. I'd appreciate either a simple explanation or a real-world example Here are the steps I've taken: 1. added the line <?php wp_enqueue_script("jquery"); ?> just above the wp_head line. 2. added the script just below the wp_head line 3. Used the "No Conflict" syntax of jQuery(document).ready(function() {. Here's what the header looks like where I put my script Code: <?php /** * Template Name: Home Page * * @package WPFramework * @subpackage Template */ ?> <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd"> <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" <?php language_attributes(); ?>> <head> <meta charset="<?php bloginfo('charset'); ?>" /> <?php if (is_search()) { ?> <meta name="robots" content="noindex, nofollow" /> <?php } ?> <title> <?php if (function_exists('is_tag') && is_tag()) { single_tag_title("Tag Archive for ""); echo '" - '; } elseif (is_archive()) { wp_title(''); echo ' Archive - '; } elseif (is_search()) { echo 'Search for "'.wp_specialchars($s).'" - '; } elseif (!(is_404()) && (is_single()) || (is_page())) { wp_title(''); echo ' - '; } elseif (is_404()) { echo 'Not Found - '; } if (is_home()) { bloginfo('name'); echo ' - '; bloginfo('description'); } else { bloginfo('name'); } if ($paged>1) { echo ' - page '. $paged; } ?> </title> <link rel="shortcut icon" href="/favicon.ico"> <link rel="stylesheet" href="<?php bloginfo('stylesheet_url'); ?>"> <link rel="pingback" href="<?php bloginfo('pingback_url'); ?>"> <?php if ( is_singular() ) wp_enqueue_script('comment-reply'); ?> <?php wp_enqueue_script("jquery"); ?> <?php wp_head(); ?> <script type="text/javascript"> jQuery(document).ready(function() { //set all the divs opacity to 0 $("#rotator div").css({opacity: 0}); //show the current div $("#rotator div.current").css({opacity: 1}); //run the rotateImages function every 3 seconds setInterval("rotateBanners()", 4000); }); function rotateBanners () { var curBanner = $("#rotator div.current"); //get whatever div is after the current banner var nxtBanner = curBanner.next(); //if there's nothing left, go back to top of loop if (nxtBanner.length == 0) nxtBanner = $("#rotator div:first"); curBanner.removeClass('current').addClass("previous").animate({ opacity: 0.0 }, 1500); nxtBanner.css({ opacity: 0.0 }).addClass("current").animate({ opacity: 1.0 }, 1500, function() { curBanner.removeClass("previous"); }); }; </script> </head> I currently have this on my companies website and it's having a bit of trouble sometimes where it will only work after a refresh. Is it possible to do a refresh of this div and script as soon as the site loads, instead of using the auto refresh. I tried using auto refresh and it works but whatever time interval I put for the auto refresh is the time that the script pops up, so it kind of just makes it worst. Hello guys, I need some help. I am very noob in Jquery and Mootools .. and they were getting conflicted on one page. I tried every tutorial available online but I couldn't get my jquery slideshow and mootools menu to work together. Not even by the jquery no conflict command. Code: window.addEvent('domready', function(){ //-vertical var mySlide = new Fx.Slide('v.menu-4'); mySlide.hide(); $('toggle-4').addEvent('click', function(e){ e = new Event(e); mySlide.toggle(); e.stop(); }); }); This script is for vertical menus and written for mootools 1.11 Can anybody help me out? How can i run a script after the window.open loads completely?
Hi I'm trying to load a part of a page (that has script in it) into another page using jquery. However, though the html loads in correctly, none of the script is working. I'm using code from http://css-tricks.com/video-screenca...namic-content/ ie. the pages all work without java (static pages) and when java is enabled, instead of going to bio.html you get taken to ..#bio.html. However if I've got any script I would like to be loaded .. ie. lightbox gallery or even a simple jav split and put back together email address hider. Any help greatly appreciated. I'm not very clued up about jquery at the moment unfortunately and though I've been trying to read and learn, alot is going over my head.. Not sure how best it is to show you the page as it's not live yet. Maybe if it helps I can upload a zip of the site. It's a simple 6 page musician site. Though my code is exactly like the css-tricks page, just that I have a lightbox on one page (which loads fine if there's no hash in the address - but when hash is there, it shows thumbnails, and when you click one, it just takes you to the larger .jpg destination page (no lightboxness etc).) Thanks Hi, I am making a widget to work on any site, that means not my site, so I have no control of what other libraries are used on the page. Thats why I am loading my own jQuery libraries dynamically and then execute my own code. An issue I have that some sites are loading fine and all is working as expected, but some sites are executing the code 2 times. I have made a page dump and put on my own server, so I can replicate the issue better. GOOD: here is a page that works OK: (see the button that says: send these contact details and map to your mobile.) Code: http://test.plustest.info/suffolk/contact.html BAD: here is the page that shows the button I am trying to load 2 times: Code: http://test.plustest.info/cream.html As you can see the button appears 2 times, which is wrong... Even it shows 2 times, the popup appears just ok when you click on the button. Would anyone be able to check what can be wrong here? the code is in the: Code: <div id="now_send_it_wrapper"> so its easier to find. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks, Vladas Hello, I have this short script he Code: function resizeImages() { //Function will be ran onload in the <body> tag var img = document.images; //Puts all the images in an array for (var i = 0; i < img.length; i++) { //A loop to execute a set of functions for every image var parentElement = img[i].parentNode; //Gets parent element of image var parentWidth = parentElement.width(); //Gets width of parent element (value is an integer without "px") var imgWidth = img[i].width(); //Gets image width var parentHeight = parentElement.height(); //Gets height of parent element var imgHeight = img[i].height();//Gets image height if (parentWidth < imgWidth){ img[i].width(parentWidth); //Sets width of image to width of parent element img[i].style.height = "auto"; //Scales height } if (parentHeight > imgHeight){ img[i].height(parentHeight); //Sets height of image to height of parent element img[i].style.width = "auto"; //Scales width } alert(parentWidth); //To test if parentNode is working correctly. Should return an integer. } } It's got some JQuery in it (.width() and .height()) to make manipulation of the dimensions easier to manage. Basically, it's supposed to resize all the images on the webpage to the size of their parent elements (divs) without losing aspect ratio. Image overflow will be hidden so that no matter what the aspect ratio of the image and it's container the largest possible area of the image will be exposed. The alert() function I have at the bottom is supposed to run as a test that each loop is working correctly. However, my images don't get resized and I get no alert. I think the loop may be breaking out before it goes through everything. Anyone have ideas? I'm not a Javascript coder. Thank you, Jared Hey there! I'm having a bit of a problem with this site I'm workin' on... I am trying to incorporate a website slider (http://tympanus.net/codrops/2010/06/...g-with-jquery/), so when you click the links in my naviagtion, it slides right (horizontally) to a new page, however, with the slider/scroller script in there, the navigation stops working! I have been assigned to build a content locator. We cannot use a database and all content needs to load from same page. Based on my boss' design and client needs, this is what I came up with: http://contentx.com/content_locator/ I am using a Dynamic Drive script to power the dropdown and content underneath the drop down, http://contentx.com/content_locator/js/dd_cx_script.js and using a JQuery script to change the content in the window to the right. http://contentx.com/content_locator/...s_cx_script.js My questions a 1) Is there a better method to do this? (stupid question I know... of course there is!!) I would like it to be as simple as possible, no animation needed. Just need to have content from the DIV on the right side load content in the Main body div on the left (the box) 2)Is it possible to change the content on the right side when you select an option from the drop down? (say I select <option>Free Campaigns</option> I want the content to change on the right to match one of the free campagins) 3)Finally, my margins in IE 7 are all over the map, looks great in all other browsers, but in IE my TABS (colored green and blue) are about 10pixels up to high, and my belowcontent div on the left has a top margin of 12px below the dropdown... Thanks for any help, zack Hi guys Im try to create a menu (http://valkesh.000space.com/) that will have 2 or 3 images loaded when hovering the item. As it currently is, I would like the first 20px to show green, and the rest to show Red. For now I am only using colors because eventually I would like to use images and have the Left and Right pics set at a fixed width and the center image growing appropriately. Below is the script I am using for the entire menu. Code: <html> <head> <script type="text/javascript" src="js/jquery-1.3.1.min.js"></script> <script type="text/javascript"> //<![CDATA[ $(document).ready(function () { //Append a div with hover class to all the LI $('#navMenu li').append('<div class="left"><div class="right"></div></div>'); $('#navMenu li').hover( //Mouseover, fadeIn the hidden hover class function() { $(this).children('div').fadeIn('1000'); }, //Mouseout, fadeOut the hover class function() { $(this).children('div').fadeOut('1000'); }).click (function () { //Add selected class if user clicked on it $(this).addClass('selected'); }); }); //]]> </script> <style type="text/css"> #navMenu { margin:0; padding:0; list-style:none; font-family:arial; text-align:center; line-height:60px; } #navMenu li { background-color:Gray; float:left; width:120px; height:40px; line-height:40px; border:solid 1px black; position:relative; } #navMenu li a { z-index:20; display:block; height:40px; position:relative; color:Black; } #navMenu li .left { background-color:Green; position:absolute; width:20px; height:40px; top:0px; z-index:0; display:none; } #navMenu li .right { background-color:Red; position:absolute; width:100px; height:70px; top:0px; z-index:0; display:none; } #navMenu li.selected { background-color:Blue; } </style> </head> <body> <ul id="navMenu"> <li><a href="#">Test 1</a></li> <li><a href="#">Test 2</a></li> <li><a href="#">Test 3</a></li> </ul> </body> </html> I would appreciate any help given! Thanks I'm trying to build a gallery. So far I've used jquery for the scrolling thumbnails. The problem I am having is deciding which would be the best way to load the larger version of the thumbnails into a div? Currently I am using a jquery attribute replace, but the only problem I'm having is I want to use lightbox for the large images. Some of the images have text so they need to be big if the user would like to read them. Right now lightbox is working except that it doesn't understand what image it's on when you click on the large version. I believe this is because of the attribute replace. Here is where you can view the problem: http://www.tsutsumidaphoto.com/Mihoko/akiko3.php If you click on any thumbnail after the first then click on the large version it will bring up the first image then go from there. Any suggestions, I've tried for too long on my own! |
