JavaScript - Displaying Text In Text Box With Previous And Next Buttons
Hi again
For instance I want to display some announcements from an external text file on a predefined box, like lets say 140 wide and height scalable according to text. The texts would be some announcements from me, a few words. I want the text justified and with previous / next link, if possible. And when they navigate to another page, they will get a random message in that box. There are news tickers on the net, but I just want something simple like this, no scrolling, fading, etc.. Has anyone a clue how I can accomplish that? Thanks. Similar TutorialsI am trying to display testimonials on my website in an iframe. This way I can utilize the scrolling feature if needed and keep the page from changing sizes due to the length of the testimonial. I can also change the testimonials order and content easily. I am trying to make a "next" and "previous" button that will sit on the main page (not in the iframe) and cycle through the testimonials. However I am having trouble with this as I am trying to use an array. This is my current code for the Next button. The idea is to check to see if the testimonial is on the last document. I am building an online store where the customer can select custom parts. I'm quite new to javascript, but I've managed to create a radio button list, where the price is added from each section. I would like a box to show all of the options selected, not just the sum total. I've included the text with value and used parseInt. I have been told I can use value.split(" "), but I don't really know how to go about doing that. I've been fiddling for hours now and don't seem to be able to get anywhere. I would also like to include a 3rd value, another number, and add that one in a separate calculation. E.g. For "50 5850ati1gb 56" I would like one calculation which adds 50 to the total, another calculation adding 56 to a different total and 5850ati1gb added to a list of all of the components. Hi guys, I have a form I am working on that has 4 text boxes in it, but I want to change it so that if a Radio button is selected it makes the 4th text box disappear, but still gives it a value of "0" when the form is submitted. If 3 Columns, WIDTH4 is not viewed and defaults to "0". If 4 Columns, all are visible and the number is then optional. Would love some assistance with this as my coding skills are pretty limited and my fingers have gone numb trying to google an answer. As of right now I have a code that will work in IE but wont work in FireFox...go figure. hi all, I have a simple website with 2 Frames, In top frame I have a button that invokes CGI script and internally that CGI script prints info (text) into the bottom frame. Going further we want to print the output coming from CGI into a textarea object in bottom form. I have a function in my CGI script: But ends up printing multiple textarea objects in lower frame. We want to print each line of text into the same textarea object in lower frame. and at the end display a new button. How can we do this using javascript/CGI? This works fine BUT; I want it to go randomly through the WHOLE list without repeating lines that already have been printed. As it is now, a line of text might be printed several times in a row, which is a little annoying. I'm using a refresh button for generating a new line of text. What I want to do is replace the text in the text area depending on how many fields contain text. For example my text boxes are named 1 to 9, if the user enters text in the first five boxes I want the text area to auto fill with 'you have selected boxes 1 to 5' if the user selects all nine it will say 'you have selected 1 to 9', therefore, the user must complete the text boxes in order. The problem is if the user starts to enter information, then switches to a different radio button (perhaps they chose the wrong radio to start), the text they already started to enter on the previous textfield doesn't get cleared. I have a textarea where user can select a text then copy to clipboard (using EditArea script for highlighting) I need append additional information to the selected text so it won't be visible in the textarea, but only appear after copied to clipboard.
