JavaScript - Select A Value From A Combobox To Bookmark It With A Button
Hello folks,
I want to have a combobox with bookmark options. After you select a value from this combobox you can bookmark it with a push button. This should popup a bookmark dialog from the browser bookmark dialog. Can anybody help me? Lets say we have 3 options in the value's. Google, Yahoo, Bing When you select Google and you push Place bookmark you should get a browser bookmark dialog with a title "Google search site". The url would be just http://www.google.com/ I also want Yahoo with the url http://www.yahoo.com/ and the bookmark title Search at Yahoo! and Bing with the url http://www.bing.com and the title Search at Bing I'm looking already for a while for this. Can anybody help me? Can anyone post Add bookmark script that works fine on all major browsers (IE, FF, Opera, Chrome, safari)? The script should be as compact as possible. All I have found works only on opera or firefox but not both. Thanks We have an html page which brings in content dynmically using Ajax. So the page starts out with certain content, and when a particular link is clicked, the content is swapped out with new content. With this approach, the back button on the browser does not work, because the URL didn't actually change. How could a user bookmark the new page with the second set of content? Is this even possible?
Hi... I am having a problem with the resize... I use the script below to adjust the size of the frame. It works nicely for me. The only problem is, the frame initially jumps to the bookmark, and then on the reload, jumps to the top of the page. Any ideas on how to keep the frame at the bookmark in the web page, instead of jumping back up to the top???? Hello to all and thank you for any help beforehand. I have an issue with the script below, Select the top dropdown and the second gets populated, this is a nice piece of script, the only problem is that when the information is posted and presented on the process page I click page back to the form to rectify some other field but the ajax resets so I have to select Country & City each time even if thease fields are correct. I know that back button as well as bookmark is a problem with ajax but i think there is a solution the only thing is I don't know how to apply it to this script. I have two drop down lists , list1, list 2. I want it to change according to the radio button selected by the user. If the user selects radio button1, lists1 should be displayed. If the user selects radio button2, lists2 should be displayed. How can i achieve this using javascript. Please somebody help me. I am trying to write script that allows a user to select a new page using a select menu. But if a user changes mind and clicks Back button. i want a use to see again "Select a New Page" as a first option in the select menu. instead i see the page that was chosen before. in firefox, even when i click Refresh button, the select menu does not go back to its initial format. One such feature I'd like to see is the Bookmark feature. You click on the Bookmark or Favorite button and the page name (of the html page) is saved to a list, just like what you see in modern browsers. Clicking on the list row brings up the bookmarked page. However, the app is not a browser, but made up of html/css/js pages that function from within a /www/ folder of the app. I've searched for such a script online, but the only ones I see are for desktop browsers (they permit a visitor to click on a link to place the page in the Bookmarks tab or folder of the browser). The notepad file would have names and phone numbers in it. The ComboBox would only show their names in alphabetical order. There would also be a button that when you click it, it would open up Outlook (if you are signed into Outlook) and auto-fill the form with their phone number @ vtext.net (for texting verizon cell phones). The reason behind this is so the notepad or Excel file can be edited to add more users as the company expands. I'm on a time crunch and haven't really been able to figure out how to do the data on load. If anyone could help and explain their code a little bit I would be very grateful. Once a selection is made, the value is appended to an input box. The idea is that the appended values form a telephone number, or at least part of one, that will then be used to search trough a database to look for a matching number. Basically what happens now is this: combobox indicatif: 021 | 022 | 031 combobox bloc: 555 | 666 | 777 If I select "021" from indicatif, the script will append 021 to the input "blabla". The problem is, if I now select "022", the input will show "021022" instead of replacing the 021 with 022. What I would like is that, for each combobox, the script replaces the selected value with the new one instead of simply appending it, like instead of say 021022555666 it would show 021555 or 022666 or 021666 depending on what is selected...you get the idea? Is this doable? Needless to say I'm a total noob at javascript...I adapted the code I got now from some other guy who was trying to achieve almost the same thing and adapted it to my needs, or least, tried to, but now I'm stuck.
