JavaScript - Js Coding For Onclick Values.
Hi, I am fairly new to this.
I am looking to add an onclick value to open a new url when a particular airport (see code below) is selected. Where would each onclick value be placed and what should it look like? I have tried adding onclick values but to no avail! Any help would be greatly appreciated. So here's my problem. I have a long list of buttons that I want to declare their onclick with values from an array. It looks something like this. It seems simple but obviously there's something that I'm not seeing that isn't allowing this to run.Here's what the code looks like Code: <html>

If anybody could help me out with this I would greatly appreciate it. I'm currently working on a project and I am doing a bunch of image switching. I'm having a problem with the following... I have seven medium image objects and one small one. One is at the top and the other 7 are below. When one of the 7 is clicked, it then becomes the one up top and the one up top then takes the place of the image clicked. This needs to be able to happen no matter which of the seven i click. Also when you click one of the seven it runs a script to change 9 other images in the center of the page. this isnt too important because i have it working already. What i have is, each of the seven images run their function that changes the 9 center images and then it runs another function. What i need is for that function to determine which company for example(shaws, lowes, target) the top image belongs to and replace the image that was clicked with the top one. But i also need to replace the NAME="" and ONCLICK="function()" with the proper ones for the original company up top. Please if you can understand what im trying to do let me know, if you need further clarification i can do so. i can draw a picture of what im trying to do or the layout if needed but i cant necessarily show anyone the project due to a non-disclosure. In my coding, ys, ms, ds represents year starting, month starting, starting day... ye, me, de represents end... start,end gives file names in the format of yyyymmdd now i want to process files from 20100101 to 20100930 means from date is 2010/01/01 and to date is 2010/09/30 if i press submit button the files from 20100101 to 20100930 are processes here ys=2010 ms=01 ds =01 and ye=2010 me=09 de= 30 For this how do i call these textbox values (from date text box and todate) to another program (java) Thanks in advance. Hi, What's a good way/ideal data structure to achieve this? The objective of the code/function is to map user-inputted strings into a pair of specific, hard-coded strings. For example, say the user types "firefox" or "ff", or "fx". The output would be the pair ["browser", "mozilla"], for example. This fulfills my needs, but I'm not sure about the efficiency (though if I remember correctly, switch statements become more efficient as size grows, since it uses a hash table?). Okay, I'm actually just starting out Javascript so I thought you guys could hopefully help me with a bit of a newb question. I'm trying to start a comic website, and in the process of trying to make the "Previous" and "Next" buttons. What I want is, everytime someone clicks the "Previous" button, the src of the img should change from 005 to 004, basically it's just subtracting a "1" from the img src, and the "Next" button does the opposite and adds a "1" to the img src. In my javascript code I have to type in a number in a textbox then click a button. When the button is pressed a popup message will come up displaying the number I typed in the text box. I have no clue how to do it, could someone give me an example? Thanks. P.S. I found this code online to create a like/send buttons for Facebook to put under my posts on my website. When the user clicks "Like" or "Send" I want the content tags from the website to be automatically input into the user's Facebook post: so the Facebook plug-in/post function will attach the picture and link to the site, and have the tags (already associated with the picture within my site's coding) automatically entered as text into the post. I'm not a programmer and thought this might be a good place to get some help. Does something like this already exist that can be altered/edited? I am not familiar with this, and I'm having difficulty trying to explain it. A short summary of what I'm trying to do is this: I manually charge credit cards for my bosses online business. Doing this requires me to manually enter information in from his websites back office in to a different browser, using "Navigate, Merchant Plus" (that's a site used for banking etc. and allows you to charge cards through it). I'll be the first to admit I know nothing about coding, and I was just doodling with it trying to see if there's a way to automate this. If I can get the code, I can give it to my boss and he can enter it into the website and have a button you can press to transfer the information out of the fields required to charge the card on to the navigate websites fields where you place the information.
