Originally this code was fine, until I decided to mesh with it some code that would open a window to specific dimensions and then some other code to remove scroll bars and menus... now leaving me just the lower option which works properly. I would like to sort this out so that each page loads as it should, in accordance with the conditions. Presently only the bottom part of the code works: "if (res!='1' && res!='2' && res!='3') PopupCenter ('http://www.meta.projectmio.com/800.html','MyWindow',800,531)" So the window will open at 800x531 and load ../800.html, but the other conditions will not work, unless I c&p them to this lower part of the code. I think I've gotten something wrong. website: www.meta.projectmio.com/pop.html Thanks. My array is like so... shp[0][0] = 5; shp[0][1] = "A5"; shp[0][2] = "A2"; shp[0][3] = "A1"; shp[0][4] = "A4"; shp[0][5] = "A3"; shp[1][0] = 4; shp[1][1] = "C3"; shp[1][2] = "C4"; shp[1][3] = "C1"; shp[1][4] = "C2"; shp[2][0] = 3; shp[2][1] = "E1"; shp[2][2] = "E3"; shp[2][3] = "E2"; shp[3][0] = 3; shp[3][1] = "G3"; shp[3][2] = "G2"; shp[3][3] = "G1"; shp[4][0] = 2; shp[4][1] = "I2"; shp[4][2] = "I1"; the results I am after is... shp[0][0] = 5; shp[0][1] = "A1"; shp[0][2] = "A2"; shp[0][3] = "A3"; shp[0][4] = "A4"; shp[0][5] = "A5"; shp[1][0] = 4; shp[1][1] = "C1"; shp[1][2] = "C2"; shp[1][3] = "C3"; shp[1][4] = "C4"; shp[2][0] = 3; shp[2][1] = "E1"; shp[2][2] = "E2"; shp[2][3] = "E3"; shp[3][0] = 3; shp[3][1] = "G1"; shp[3][2] = "G2"; shp[3][3] = "G3"; shp[4][0] = 2; shp[4][1] = "I1"; shp[4][2] = "I2"; so it sorts all from the second part of the array to the end in alpha-numerical order. I tried the following but i get errors about Cannot call method 'unshift' of undefined. // var shp; var shpbk; var shpbktemp; // shpbk = shp.slice(); shpbktemp[0] = shpbk[0][0]; shpbk[0] = shpbk[0].shift; shpbk[0] = shpbk[0].sort; shpbk[0] = shpbk[0].unshift(shpbktemp[0]); shpbktemp[1] = shpbk[1][0]; shpbk[1] = shpbk[1].shift; shpbk[1] = shpbk[1].sort; shpbk[1] = shpbk[1].unshift(shpbktemp[1]); shpbktemp[2] = shpbk[2][0]; shpbk[2] = shpbk[2].shift; shpbk[2] = shpbk[2].sort; shpbk[2] = shpbk[2].unshift(shpbktemp[2]); shpbktemp[3] = shpbk[3][0]; shpbk[3] = shpbk[3].shift; shpbk[3] = shpbk[3].sort; shpbk[3] = shpbk[3].unshift(shpbktemp[3]); shpbktemp[4] = shpbk[4][0]; shpbk[4] = shpbk[4].shift; shpbk[4] = shpbk[4].sort; shpbk[4] = shpbk[4].unshift(shpbktemp[4]); I have a registration form that I am working on in which I need to assign a price to each option in a selection box then write that price in the document. Then I have a radio button that will add (different amounts based on selection) to that price before it is written. Then I have another radio button that just needs to write a price based on its selection. Both of these values will be written and then totaled. (See below for a less confusing explanation) On HTML form: >drop down list (name courseName, value of selections 1,2,3,4) > radio button (name returnStudent, value of selections 1,2) > radio button (name bookNeeded, value of selections 1,2) Table (name totalprice) at the bottom of the form: price1: price of courseName plus returnStudent (td with name tuitionprice) price2: price of bookNeeded (td with name bookprice) Total of the above (td with name totalprice) This is what I am trying to make work... Code: var selectedCourse = document.onsiteRegistration.courseName.value; var selectedStudent = document.onsiteRegistration.returnStudent.value; function setTuition() { if (selectedCourse == "1" && selectedStudent =="1") { document.write("12345"); } if (selectedCourse == "1" && selectedStudent =="2") { document.write("54321"); } } Then in my HTML I have simply put this to call the function and write it where I need it to be placed. <script>setTuition()</script> I am trying to find some examples of something like this but all I am coming up with is shopping carts and that is not what I need here. I am fairly confident that I can program the second part (totaling) if I can only get the selections to populate the different prices for me. If someone could point me in the right direction I would be very grateful! Hi there, I'm working on a site: ocmd.co.nr And it features a lot of handy little web gadgets and apps for users. I was interested in creating a page, where two iframes are shown side-by-side both with the width of 50% and the height of 100%, with adressbars on top of each of them. So, essentially, what I need is just a code that allows the user to edit the iframe's src and get it to a different site. Hello all, First off I would like to say a big hello and thank you to the forum for helping me with code over the years... I am trying to create an iframe with a user input, however, I dont simply want the iframe to display the URL the user has entered in the iframe. I want it to be used within a URL string. For example: The iframe should display http://www.google.co.uk/search?q=UserKeyword I havent got a clue where to start from.... Any help would be highly appreciated! Thanks! This is probable very easy, I've tried with normal html and am unable to get my head around it. I would like to in some way replicate how a web browser works. I have a form entry field with a submit button at the top of the page. Under that I have an iframe. I copy the url http://www.bbc.co.uk into the entry field, click submit and the iframe updates with the website. Have looked around and haven't found anything similar. Code so far.... <form target="myURL"> <input type="text" name="goTo"> <input type="submit" name="submit" value="submit"> </form> <iframe src="" name="myURL" border="0" frameborder="0" width="768" height="354"></iframe> Thanks in advanced. Death = $Mill I am looking for an input text that links to a iframe. . ? To begin, we need some simple HTML elements: A basic form; An Input text that will contain the URLs we want to use; An iFrame that will display the page we select from the input text. Thanks in advance Stickers Hi my code returns all the html of the iframe. I would like just the body html. Any one know how to amend to suit? Code: alert( $("#uploaderIframe").contents()[0].documentElement.innerHTML ); I have a html where the user will just need to keyin the .pdf value and it will retrieve the file and it will be copied to local drive for certain reason. Once it's copied to local file, it will be display in IE. After the user has finished reading the .pdf, the user will click on one button to reload the html. Now I want to add in a delete function to delete the local saved .pdf. When I try to call the function after my "window.location.reload()" , the delete function will definitely not running. So, is it possible to close the .pdf file with javascript first, then delete the local saved .pdf, then here we reload the html ? Thanks for suggestion. Note : The .pdf will be display in the same window and same tab of IE. Whole html will be running in only one tab and window. Code: function reloadPage() { window.location.reload() remove(); } function remove() { var sBnr = document.getElementById("txtBnr").value; var myObject; var fso = myObject = new ActiveXObject("Scripting.FileSystemObject"); fso.DeleteFile("C:\\eBondingDiagram\\" + sBnr + ".pdf"); } What i'm trying to do is, insert a file upload input into HTML, depending on dropdown menu selection. I have a form, where you enter your email and a message. What i'm trying to add now is, a dropdown menu which will select type of message, with 4 options. If 3rd or 4th option is selected, a <input type="file"> will be inserted under the message box. I also don't want the page to refresh. here's the code i have now: Code: <form action="zahteva.php" name="naroci" method="POST"> <label>Your email:</label> <input id="text" type="text" name="email" autocomplete="off"> <br /> <label>Type</label> <select name="type"> <option value="1">1st (no file upload)</option> <option value="2">2nd (no file upload)</option> <option value="3">3rd (file upload)</option> <option value="4">4th (file upload)</option> </select> <label>Message:</label> <textarea id="txtrea" name="sporocilo"></textarea> <br /> <!-- <label>File:</label> <input type="file" name="file"> only show this part if 3rd of 4th is selected --> <input id="gump" type="submit" value="Send"></td> </form> I save an Access query as an HTML file (query.html) I then load an HTML page (TopStyle.html). This loads the query.html. I want query.html to autoscroll to the end of the page, and then either scroll to the top or just start again. I want to use HTML Input text boxes for processing within nested functions and with the results output back to the HTML table. The code contains the HTML and Javascript. As the code stands data is reported back to the HTML table because the wanted functions have been commented out. Within the code is a note regarding the above. How can I solve this problem with javascript? Hi, folks! Having a big issue he i got a code that works fine in Chrome, FF, but seems unreadable by IE. Got a main HTML code that have a DIV tag, declared like this Code: <div id='leframe' style='visibility:hidden'></div> Then, I call, through a Flash file, an external function that says: Code: function loadNextPg(nextPg) { var varDiv = "<iframe src='pg"+nextPg+".htm'></iframe>"; document.getElementById("leframe").innerHTML = varDiv; } } It would load the HTML named (pg'+nextPg+'.htm), where nextPg is a String value ("01", "02", etc). It works WONDERFULLY in Chrome, FF, etc, but not in IE. Does anyone know if I'm doing anything wrong? Best regards and thanks in advance. I'm fairly new to javascript and would appreciate any help offered. I'm trying to use the input from an HTML form to interact with a switch statement in javascript. I want my users to input a few specific words, and have each word they input redirect them to a specific page. Below is what I've currently come up with. I cannot get it to function properly as it continues to display the default output regardless of the input Code: <script language="JavaScript" type="text/javascript" > <!-- function checkform ( form ) { var favcolour =("form.data", "") switch (favcolour) { case "red": window.location="index.html"; break; case "green": window.location="index.html#tips"; break; case "blue": window.location="index.html#blue"; break; default: document.writeln("Invalid Input"); }; } // --> </script> </head> <body> <form action="" method="post" onsubmit="return checkform(this);"> <input type="text" name="data" /> Again any help would be greatly appreciated! I want to use javasript to create a new html page named from a text field in a form. Then I want to use javasript to copy all of the form fields to the new html page that was created using javascripting. I am creating a user are using a Javascript password login. With most of them the page is the user name or password. So this is why I am looking to do this. I use web 1000 a free host and they will only let me use javascripting. Any info or help would be great thank you
hi, i am using <input type = "file" id = "upload"> in my html page. i want to disable the textbox of this control so that user cannot type any file location here. user can upload file only through browse button. is there a way to disable this textbox thru javascript? thnx I have an HTML page that is making use of JQUERY and many other JQUERY plugins. Inside this HTML page there are 2 different types of iFrames that display PHP forms. One is a normal iFrame: Code: <iframe height="740" allowTransparency="true" frameborder="0" scrolling="auto" style="width:100%;border:none;overflow-x:hidden" src="https://www.website.com/machform/embed.php?id=9" title="Contact Us"><a href="https://www.website.com/machform/view.php?id=9" title="Contact Us">Contact Us</a></iframe> The other makes use of a JQUERY plugin called Shadowbox: Code: <a href="https://www.website.com/machform/embed.php?id=8" rel="shadowbox;width=1100;height=950;player=iframe" class="button1"><span></span><strong>Click Here</strong></a> Inside these iFrames are PHP forms from a PHP form application called MachForm, which is highly customizable. Here are the questions. Ultimately, I want to accomplish 2 things: 1. I would like to send variable information from the PHP form in the iFrame to my HTML page, to be displayed within javascripts. For example: If someone fills out a PHP form in my iFrame and clicks submit, I want to have a JQUERY popup say, "Thank you, [NAME]". 2. When the user submits the form, the action of clicking the submit button in the PHP form should enable #1, above. There needs to be a way to tell the HTML/Javascript that the submit button on the PHP form in the iFrame has been clicked. I realize this is all fairly vague, especially without the addition of more code. However, I am not even sure if I am posting this in the correct forum, since it incorporates a little of several languages and styles. From this point any direction or idea would be very helpful!
