JavaScript - Drop-down List Value Redirect To A Url Of Choice
Hi,
I've checked the boards and was unable to find something that matched the code that I have. The code basically uses radio buttons to populate results to a drop-down list depending on the radio button they choose. I'm having trouble figuring out where and how to add the redirection url for each of the value choices in the drop down. I was told something about using window.location('http://url.here') and then to populate the location parameter with the array value. Does this mean I have to redo my script or can another piece of code be added on to make it work. How do I alter my existing code? Thanks in advance for any help I can get: Code:

Hi, this simple code generates a dropdown box with two entries. When I mouseover either of them in Firefox, an image will appear, which then disappears when I mouseout. This won't work in any other browser so far as I can tell, although they all support onmouseover in the option element. Nothing at all happens. Let me explain this with an example: If a dropdown list has data fields like (aa, bb, cc, dd, ee) and if a user selects the option 'bb' , then there should be a variable that stores the text 'bb'. I've created a java servlet in eclipse to connect and execute query to the database. In aptana, i'm using js file and html file. i am able to connect to the servlet, process the data (split it) and store in an array to display the retrieved data on screen. But now i am facing problems to put the retrieved data (array) into a drop down list for selection. can i do it in a js file? thanks =) I was wondering how to go about populating empty fields from a drop down list of different options. Eg. A user selects from a HUGE choice from the drop down list, and this fills their preferences 1-4. If 1 is full, then it populates 2 if another choice is clicked, and so on. Cheers in advance. |
