JavaScript - Open/close Extra Information On Td Onclick
Hello. I'm trying to open extra information if a user clicks on a TD, and close it if he click on it again. How I can do this? All I learned to do is to show it, but I can't find something that hide it if I click on the same place.
Thanks for help. __________________ הורדות Similar TutorialsMy code works but when I put an image in there my code doesn't work anymore. I need to open a window when: 1 user leaves the site 2 when the browser is closed. I tried the 'unLoad' event but it works only for the user leaves site case and not the browser close. Here is the code I tried: <html> <head> <title>Detecting browser close </title> <script type="text/javascript"> function doUnload() { myWin= open("exit_site.php", "exitWin", "width=50,height=50"); } </script> </head> <body onunload="doUnload()" <h4>Close browser!</h4> </body> </html> Neep your help, please Hello guys, im working on another little project for my team here, and the way our system works is in order to change a persons password, there is a certain link that has to be accessed...for example...if i want to change a persons password, lets say UserID: t-test100 current pass: 911 and i want to change the password to 999 instead of 911...there is a link that needs to sorta load the profile in the background first in order to do the password change, i got the password change page down to a T and it works like a charm, but ONLY when the link is accessed, so for example, this is how the link would look like https://www.***.com/Sps/jsp/MyChange...?uid=t-test100 as soon as that URL is accessed, my code that i made for the password reset, works, but if i open a fresh window (where no cookies have been logged) and i go directly to my page where i have the script to change the password, it will come back with an error, but when i go to that URL and then back to my script and run it again, it works fine....SOOOO...back to my question...how would i be able to make it so that i have an extra link on my site that i can add to go to https://www.***.com/Sps/jsp/MyChange...?uid=t-test100 URL in a new window...but i want it so that when i click the link, it opens up the URL and closes the window after 1 second...or less...just so that it loads the URL in the background and thats it basically what i need to do, just for it to open for a split second, for the browser to register that i've visited the URL for that particular username, and then so that when i try to change the password, it goes through. Hi. I need help in adding a parenthesis in the area code of the phone number and validating it also. I made some javascript code but it is not working. Can somebody please help? I just need the code in adding () in the area code. For example: When user enter 10 digit number no spaces or dashes such as 0000000000 or 000-000-0000, I would like to have this format right away (000)000-0000. I know how to replace the characters but adding it is a tricky one for me. Can somebody please help? Thanks. I'm trying to pass the URL of a link to a function, then delay opening the window. I get an undefined error. Any help would really be appreciated. Here is my code: PHP Code: <head> <script> function openWin(test) { setTimeout("window.open(test)", 5000); } </script> </head> <body> <a href="http://www.example.com" onClick="openWin(this); return false;">Test</a> </body> suggestions welcome !!
Hello! I am trying to find a script that allows you to open multiple browser tabs and then close each of those tabs, either one by one or all at once. Does anyone know how to do this please? Thanks so much for your help. Using onclick=window.open function in js to open a pdf file link in a new popup window. Works fine to display the file onscreen, but not if the user wants to save the file client-side to their computer. The right-hand-button context menu for the mouse will allow the user to download, but the file saved will be a html dump file for the webpage and the name of the file will be that for the webpage. Of course I can use the easy <a href> method for download links and the mouse context menu options will be as expected, but I can only use target="-blank" or target="_self" . I need a popup window to open. Could use : oncontextmenu="alert('Left click the link to open, and then SAVE from with the pdf viewer') to advise users how to save the file, and could use "javascript: void(0)" to eliminate most mouse context menu options, so the user won't bother try. So how can I get a link to a file which can be viewed in a popup window and downloaded using mouse right-hand context menu? Any advice massively appreciated! I am using a window.open to trigger a mailto: command. I don't want the window to stay open so I try to close it right after. The default email client launches correctly, but the window stays open and I get the following Javascript error: Unable to get value of the property 'close': object is null or undefined Code: Code: var win = window.open(mailto_link,'emailWindow'); win.close(); Hi! I'm new to this, so please bare with me. My terminology may not be up to par. Here's the deal: - I have a button on my Flash site that opens an HTML page in a popup window. In Flash, I open the new window using Actiosnscript 2.0: Code: on (release) { getURL("example1.html", "_blank"); } - Within the popup window are links to other HTML pages. They all open in the same window. I've been using the following to create the links in Dreamweaver: Code: onClick="MM_goToURL('parent','example2.html')" - On each page, I have a "Return to Main Menu" button that should close the popup window. To do this, I have been using: Code: onClick="window.close()" - The problem is that it works differently in each browser, and I can't even get it to consistently close the window in most browsers: Internet Explorer = popup message appears, asking "Are you sure you want to close this window?" or something similar; window closes after clicking "Yes." Safari = Only closes if I'm on the original HTML page. If I click on any of the other links (note that these all open in the same window), those pages' "Return to Main Menu" buttons cease to work. However, if I keep clicking "Back" until I get to the original page, it closes. Opera = Button actually works for each page. Firefox & Chrome = Does not close the window at all. I looked into it and saw that others have used a window.opener to solve similar issues. But, since my popup window is opened using Flash/AS2, I need to find a way around it. I've tried preceding "window.close()" with "window.opener=null" (i.e. - onClick="window.opener=null; window.close()"), but I don't think I'm doing it right because it still doesn't work. I've also seen others use codes that involve functions and variables, but it is beyond my current coding knowledge to implement this. Like I said, I'm sort of new at this. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. - PW Hi, I want to restrict opening my popup window if it is already opened. For simple scenario, it is quite possible to do but in my case -- 1) When parent page is opening popup window, it is getting refreshed (required from client for some reason). 2) Once submit button is clicked from popup window, again parent page is getting refreshed (again its a requirement from client side). With these 2 conditions, I lost my saved value from variable and hence new popup is keep coming when the action is same. Currently I am using below code to open popup [CODE] function OpenWindow() { if(winPop && !winPop.closed) { alert("Popup is already open"); } else { winPop = window.open('MyPopupPage.aspx'); } } [CODE] Please help me to get rid of this problem. Thanks in advance. - Bhasker I'm currently working on a project and I am doing a bunch of image switching. I'm having a problem with the following... I have seven medium image objects and one small one. One is at the top and the other 7 are below. When one of the 7 is clicked, it then becomes the one up top and the one up top then takes the place of the image clicked. This needs to be able to happen no matter which of the seven i click. Also when you click one of the seven it runs a script to change 9 other images in the center of the page. this isnt too important because i have it working already. What i have is, each of the seven images run their function that changes the 9 center images and then it runs another function. What i need is for that function to determine which company for example(shaws, lowes, target) the top image belongs to and replace the image that was clicked with the top one. But i also need to replace the NAME="" and ONCLICK="function()" with the proper ones for the original company up top. Please if you can understand what im trying to do let me know, if you need further clarification i can do so. i can draw a picture of what im trying to do or the layout if needed but i cant necessarily show anyone the project due to a non-disclosure. I do write some php, but have not much idea about JavaScript. I use window.open to open 10 pages simultaneously. I prefer to open them with a time delay from each other to put less load on the target server. This is my code with no delay. (I played around with setTimeout but can't get it to work.) PHP Code: <a href='http://www.".$new[9]."' onclick="window.open('http://www.".$new[0]."/'); window.open('http://www.".$new[1]."/'); window.open('http://www.".$new[2]."/'); window.open('http://www.".$new[3]."/'); window.open('http://www.".$new[4]."/'); window.open('http://www.".$new[5]."/'); window.open('http://www.".$new[6]."/'); window.open('http://www.".$new[7]."/'); window.open('http://www.".$new[8]."/')\" target='new300/'>Open 10</a> Is it possible disable an onclick after clicking it and then enable it from another onclick by id Code: <img id="one" href="images/homepage/sliders/bonus_button.jpg" style="position:relative; top:30px; left:50px; height:30px; width:70px; float:left;"> This code runs when it is clicked: Code: $("#one").click(function() { runEffectB(); return false; }); What I would like to happen is for either runEffectB() to not run if it was just run or to disable the #one.click once it has run. I am assuming I will be able to re-enable it from another onclick running a similar function. This is jquery and jquery ui if that helps. Any ideas much appreciated. how to close a tab in html or javascript
ok, so i got some help on here to modify some java that resides in a server-side program that is limited in scope of modification, but i was able to find the code that i need to modify to perform the behavior i need. the code below works great at making sure the user entry data is formatted correctly, but fails on 2 critical points: 1) it allows a blank entry (needs to give similar error message as when formatted incorrectly - see code) 2) it allows any formatting if a combination of alpha and numeric characters are used (needs to give error message if ANY alpha characters are used). THANKS so much in advance. Code: if( ! Form1.elements['EIF2'].disabled ) var n=Form1.elements['EIF2'].value.match(/\d/g).join(''); Form1.elements['EIF2'].value= [n.substring(0,4),n.substring(4,9),n.substring(9)].join('-'); { var re = /^\d{4}\-?\d{5}\-?\d{6}$/ if ( ! re.test( Form1.elements['EIF2'].value ) ) { alert( 'Lawson # must be 15 digits\r(Example: 1234-12345-123456)' ); return false; } } I have a webpage which has the prototype library in it as well as my own script. I just started on it, but I've already run into issues using the for... in loop. I'll admit, I'm a complete noob at javascript, so this is probably something pretty simple. By the way, I can fix this by changing it to a normal for loop, but I want to know what I'm doing wrong. Within my Flex application I write stuff to the browser via a javascript document write. Is there a command to send to indicate I want to close that stream? When I send the command the rotating indicator keeps running indicating the browser is still expecting some stuff. If I click the stop button on the browser it stops spinning and the stuff I sent (an xml stream) becomes available. As this is an automated process, there is no person to hit the stop button. I am trying to execute a simple window.close function to be used in IE8 and IE9, and window.close() doesn't seem to be working. Are there any known fixes?
