My question for you is: a) Should it work? b) If it won't, can someone suggest a solution that will? Thanks for your help. Would be possible, to use Javascript to change the logo image of an iframe of myspace (just for the example), to one on my site? So switch the logo of myspace with one on my server? Is this possible? Blockis I'm kind of new to javascript so forgive me for my ignorance. Is their anyway to track right mouse click within an iframe that is linked to an external site (i.e. www.nbc.com)? I'm trying to see if I can have a alert window say "This is an image" when i right click on an image within the iframe. Hello, First time on the forum and I am admittedly a complete noob, so forgive me for any grievous misconceptions. I am a teacher trying to create a bulletin board on my website where students, teachers, and parents can post messages. I am trying to use the site linoit.com I am trying to embed that site on my website using an iframe url: http://www.capretto.net/stickyboard.shtml My problem is that when you go to the message board on my site it asks your for a username and password to login to access my message board from linoit. I was hoping there is a scripts or other trick that will auto fill the username and password when the page loads so that the message board opens automatically. Not too worried about privacy, but I could distribute the username and password to all interested parents, teachers, etc. but in my experience one more step between students and the information they need can be the difference between them not receiving the info. I'd be happy to give any contributors credit on my site for their coding help. Thanks in advance. Hey guys. Is there any any ANY way to read highlighted text of in an iframe that is displaying an external server / site? Say you select some text in the iframe and click a button outside of the iframe that prints the selected text to a textbox? Really really would love to do this or any ANY workaround. This really sucks that its a security measure by default that doesn't allow this!! Ugh! So, I have to rely on a third party external JS file to load into a site of mine. Problem is I have to have it (for ads), but once every blue moon the server fails to repond to the request (its down or unresponsive), and thus because the JS can't load, the site hangs. Is there a reliable js/ajax etc.. mechanism that I can use to set an allotted time and if the js isn't loaded, cancel the call or stop it so the page can load? Please advise. Caveats: I cannot host it, I cannot use php. Basically I was given a script call and I include it in the header of the page. I don't have alot of room to host, use various technologies etc.. other than what I am able to use without any backend/app scripting. I have the following code: Quote: <form id="registration" action="/cgi-bin/registration.cgi" method="POST" onsubmit="return control()"> <fieldset> <legend>Fill up this module</legend> Private <input id="private" type="radio" name="type" value="private" onclick="return addPrivate()"/><br/> Community/Organization <input id="organization" type="radio" name="type" onclick="alert('Organization')"/><br/> <br/> and the following script: Quote: addPrivate() { alert('Private'); } but alert windows doesn't not appear. Where is the problem? Hi - noob here. I'm trying to set the value of a radio button in an html page when another radio button on the same page is checked. I want to use an external javascript file rather than inline script. My html is: Code: <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd"> <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"> <head> <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8" /> <title>Pin config</title> <link type="text/javascript" href="scripts/pinRadioBtns.js" /> </head> <body> <form name="preset"> <input type="radio" name="preset" value="option1" onclick="javascript: setBtns();" />Option 1 <input type="radio" name="preset" value="option2" />Option 2 </form> <form name="pin4"> <input type="radio" name="pin4" id="pin4btn1" value="GPIO0" />GPIO0 <br /> <input type="radio" name="pin4" id="pin4btn2" value="nSPI_ADDR0" />nSPI_ADDR0 </form> </body> and my javascript file (which lives in a 'scripts' folder 1 level lower than the html) Code: function setBtns () { document.pin4.pin4btn1.checked = true; document.pin4.pin4btn2.checked = false; } so when the Option 1 radio button in the top form is clicked, I want to check the pin4btn1 radio button in the second form. currently when I preview the html (I'm using expression web) and click the option 1 radio button, nothing happens. maybe I'm referencing the 2nd radio button incorrectly..? any tips much appreciated... Code: http://www.handbagsonsaleuk.com/checkout/onepage/ the fourth step (Shipping Method) on the page. there are two radio type input, one is Free shipping radio button another is Flat Rate radio button why i can't chose the Flat Rate button. how to correct it? thank you. http://www.codingforums.com/attachme...1&d=1333018258 Okay, ive got 3 css classes. (normalfld, focusfld, and errorfld) When a textbox gets focus, the css class gets set to focusfld, when it looses focus it gets set to normalfld. When a textbox has an error, i set the css class to "errorfld" Now, what I would like to happen is that when a box has been set to "errorfld", when it gets and looses focus, its style will not be changed. This is my first ever attempt at javascripting and im sucking pretty bad. Can someone get me going in the right direction? Here is my attempt, that does not work. It always sets the class, even if the box is set to "errorfld" Code: function DoFocus(fld) { if (fld.classname != 'errorfld') { fld.className = 'focusfld'; } } Any ideas where I went wrong? t.i.a, ~Matt I have a radio button group, with 2 options. They have the value YES and NO At the onclick I call the function ButChange() However, it's not fully working correctly.. Initially it shows both DIV's, while only 1 should show (the LoginB div) When I select the NO value in the radio group, the correct DIV is showing, meaning it does hide the RegisterB div as it should. When I select the YES value after selecting NO, it does not change... I have a feeling I must be close with my coding and hope someone can help me out? Here's the script: <script type="text/javascript"> function ButChange() { if (document.LoginForm.PassWordExists.value == "YES") { document.getElementById("RegisterB")["style"]["display"] = "none"; document.getElementById("LoginB")["style"]["display"] = "block"; } else { document.getElementById("LoginB")["style"]["display"] = "none"; document.getElementById("RegisterB")["style"]["display"] = "block"; } } </script> <div id="LoginB"><input type="image" src="<%=rslayout("login")%>" name="SubmitCO" id="submit"></div> <div id="RegisterB"><input type="image" src="<%=rslayout("register")%>" name="SubmitCO" id="submit"></div> Thanks in advance for your help!
