JavaScript - Why Doesn't The Mouse Leave Function Work In Ie8?
Hello,
I've made a scrollable image gallery. I need the big image to pop up when the thumbnails are hovered over. It works fine in Firefox but in IE the big image fails to disappear when you take the mouse off the thumbnail. Please could someone look at this jquery code for me I am new to this someone made this for me but it really needs to work in IE too. I have a number picker that works fine BUT when I reset the fields to enter another number, the start button will not work. I had to make it so the page reloads in order for the start button to work. This not only makes the site look worse than it already does but it's annoying to wait for the page to reload. I'd like to get all these bugs worked out and work on the site appearance after. Am I stuck with this reload thing or does someone know how I can fix it? I've created a simple function to repeat an expression while the user has their mouse button held. For some reason this function just loops infinitely after the button is clicked. It also does not sense the first click. holdMouse() is called at the "onclick" event of the button. I've tried changing it to the "onmousedown" and there is no change. The vars passed in a (the button that was pressed, the expression to repeat, the ms interval to repeat it) I feel like I did this right but I obviously haven't. How do I fix this? Hi Exprts, I am using a (anylink)javascript menu from dynamic drive. Basically I am having a design issue but posting the problem here because I think this can be fixed through JS. Please download the attached files. You will see the menu & the sub menu on mouse over. Problem is that.... when the submenu appears & I take my mouse to the sub menu, the parent item hover style disappears. I mean, it doesn't look active. I just want the parent item active when users moves his/her mouse to sub menu. Thats all. Please suggest me any solutions for this. Thank you in advance. I have a few tabs on my website. They're each set to the corresponding id in the JS file. It's supposed to add #tab-1 to the end of the URL in the users browser when it's clicked. For example, when a user is at mypage.com and they click on the tab, it ads mypage.com/#tab-1 to the end. How come it doesn't do what I want when I click it though? It should make the first blue, second red, and third yellow yes? Hi! I'm new to JavaScript and I've done some small adjustments to my clients site, but it won't show properly in IE (the shadowbox js at least.). I thought js was accepted in all newer browsers. Do you have a quick fix or idea on why it doesn't work? You can view source on my site, I use mootools, and shadowbox/corners and rightclick blocker. Is it generally a 'bad thing' to use js in webpages I want everyone to view in the same way? I tried the same effects with CSS but it's not supported in the same way corss-browser, unfortunately. I've got a form textarea on my site, which after being submitted is stripped by my php file. Then my javascript kicks in and does some analysis of the entered text. However everytime the user entered a hard return within the textarea my javascript gives me an error 'tekenreeks niet afgesloten' which means something like 'string is not closed'. Therefore I decided to replace all occurences of chr(10) and chr(13) with ok2 (just some random characters), I did this with php which worked fine, and I didn't get the javascript error. i am using the following code to set the height of the div based on its contents. it works fine in IE but not in mozilla. It is a aspx file and validates fine as XHTML Trans. Why won't it work? Hello, I'm trying to combine two different jQuery scripts on my webpage. The one is showing flashvideos in a lightbox and the other one is displaying thumbnails in a slideshow. The problem is that only one script is working. I have searched the web and forums and found that several people have had this problem before and I have truly tried to fix it with noConflict(). The problem is that I have very little experience in Javascript so I haven't got it working.
