I want to use MathML or maybe javascript graphics and essentially create a real-time math preview. So I want to have a text box where you insert your source code, and I want the preview box to update automatically. For example, say I want the preview box to refresh every time the user enters a space character. Is there a way to get only the new source code entered to render in the preview box without having to re-render the entire preview every time? For example, if a user types 2x^3, I want the math equivalent to show up in the preview window. If a user then types in " + 2x" I want just the " + 2x" part to be drawn right next to the already-drawn "2x^3". Is this possible? Or is the only way to re-render the entire preview every time the user types in a new term? I would like to only change what the user has edited. If a user edits the middle of the math, then I have no choice and have to re-render everything after what the user has just edited, but when the user is editing the math at the very end, can I not just tag it on to the end and render just that little piece? Hello I've been struggling trying to get a small order form to work the way I want it to. Here is a link to the live page: http://www.watphotos.com/introductio...otography.html And here is the code in question: Code: <script src="js/jquery-1.4.2.min.js" type="text/javascript"></script> <script type="text/javascript" charset="utf-8"> $(document).ready(function(){ var initial = 0 var total = 0; var services = 0; function addServices() { initial = 150 total = initial services = 0; $("input:checked").each(function(){ value = $(this).attr("value"); services += parseInt(value); }); } $(function() { addServices(); total += services; $("form").before('<p class="price"></p>') $("p.price").text("Total Price: US$" + total); }); $("input:radio, input:checkbox").click(function () { addServices(); total += services $("p.price").text("Total Price: US$" + total); }); }); </script> I have two questions... Question 1 How can I make this piece of script act a little smarter. Look at the order form, I'm catering for up to 4 people and providing lunch for them. If they select 3 people and the spaghetti bol for lunch, it's only adding $10 where it should be adding $30. Obviously this is simple multiplication but since the values in my form are prices it makes it a little tricky. I'm guessing an onselect on the first part of the form which changes the pricing of the other items would be the way to go, but how do I do this? Question 2 The "Total Price" is placed before the <form> tag by the script. This is ok but it's not where I want it. How can I position this text elsewhere in the document? Thanks in advance! Hey, I want to create a nice Info Graphic for Web, something like this one: Is possible to do it with JS and style with CSS? Is there any library to generate this graphics and allow to style it with CSS? I've looked at google charts api but I think that I'm not able to style it as I want. Let me know if is there any other solution to create this (without flash). Thanks I have the following code which works fine until I try and display graphics. Please tell me how I could/should display the odometer in graphics format rather than text. I have all the necessary images as .png(0 through 9) in the same folder as the following code. It is just that the text counter displays but not the graphics? Code: <html> <head> <script type="text/javascript"> var c=0; var t; var timer_is_on=0; function GraphicOdo(Nommer) { d = Nommer.toString(); for (i=0; i<d.length; i++) { var image="<IMG SRC=c"+d[i]+".gif>"; // alert(image); document.getElementById('GraphicCounter').innerHtml=image; } } function timedCount() { document.getElementById('txt').value=c; c=c+1; GraphicOdo(c); t=setTimeout("timedCount()",1000); } function doTimer() { if (!timer_is_on) { timer_is_on=1; timedCount(); } } </script> </head> <body> <form> <input type="button" value="Start count!" onclick="doTimer()"> <input type="text" id="txt" /><br /><br /> <div id="GraphicCounter"> <img src="c0.gif" alt="zero"/> </div> </form> </body> </html> some simple stuff ive been stuck on. been trying to get these to come up one after another: set the colour to white draw a filled circle set the colour to blue draw an outline circle i dont know how to make the loop continue and at each loop carry out on of these instructions? any help appreciated!! var canvas; canvas = openGraphics(); var x; var y; var size; x = 10; y = 10; size = 200; while( size > 0 ) { canvas.drawEllipse( x, y, size, size ); x = x + 10; y = y + 10; size = size - 20; } canvas.paint(); I have some code that uses a form, and will check it and show an image. If you have/know a script that is simple, let me know! Otherwise, I'm wondering if someone who is proficient in JS/HTML could help me with this task. It's all coded, I just need some help with an error I am getting. Thanks, Blockis Hi, Is it possible to rotate a dial to follow the mouse cursor? Thanks, Richard Hi, We are having a website which shows the HTML5 video once click on the Video link it display the video in the same page where the innerhtml of the div accept it. document.getElementById("video_div").innerHTML = QT_WritePoster_XHTML('Click to Play', tabs[currentTab].articles[currentArticle].video+'-poster.jpg',tabs[currentTab].articles[currentArticle].video+'.mov',536, 256, '','controller', 'true','autoplay', 'true','bgcolor', 'black','scale', 'aspect'); It display the video in all the browser accept Safari and in IPhone. Hello, I need your help, I have the following code below, and its giving me an error saying: "The system cannot find the file specified". (o) No Answer [hidden] () Randy () Randy3 () Randy53215 () Randy2 This is just an example of how we would like it setup and if nothing is selected (as shown above) it would calculate that no answer was selected and save all the results of which were selected. So it would see that No Answer was selected and it would skip it and check all the rest. (Generally we have 4 answers). So it would save something like this... Can someone explain how to deploy an application in red5 webapps directory? On a remote server? Or is this something I'd have to hire a consultant for? Thanks Hello all, I want to screen scrape a citrix application using server side java script. Currently I am making use of WScript.Shell ActiveXObject and try the following : var objShell =new ActiveXObject("WScript.Shell"); objShell.AppActivate("Metaframe Presentation Server"); // this is the title of the citrix dialog that opens up once the application gets launched. objShell.SendKeys ("{ENTER}") Using AppActivate, the focus is transferred to the dialog mentioned above, but then the SendKeys do not work. Do I need to do it differently? Please provide your valuable help. Hi Everyone, Here is the question: How do I make my website viewable and usable by everyone on my network (in other words, locally)? See below for details. I'm working on a web-application (primarily Javascript and html) that will be located in a folder that everyone has access to at my company. This page is a fairly basic (a person signs-in, their name appears in a table below....the table is constantly growing). My goal is to make everyone able to dynamically add to this table. They need to be able to refresh the table and see it in its current state, and add their names to and continue growing the table. Of course, if I just place my basic web application in the folder everyone has access to, they open it to its original state. I appreciate any response. I'm VERY new to JavaScript and html, though I'm pretty well versed in a few other programming languages (VBA and MATLAB particularly), so I apologize if this is a very basic question. I'll copy in my working code so far, if that helps give a better visualization of what I mean. var objIE = new ActiveXObject("InternetExplorer.Application"); objIE.Navigate2("https://URL", navOpenInBackgroundTab); objIE.Navigate2("http://URL"); objIE.Navigate2("https://URL", navOpenInBackgroundTab); objIE.Visible = true; I found the above script on a different site and have a couple of problems. 1) I find if I add more than 3 URLs to open, I get errors and the sites don't open. I verified each line is exactly the same except for the URL that needs to open. 2) My work must use IE 32-bit for our systems to work properly. When I click a link from my email, IE 32-bit opens the link. The problem is that when I run this .js file, the URLs open in IE 64-bit. These are systems I use at work and they do not work in IE 64-bit. If anyone can help me figure out how to open more than 3 URLs without errors and how to open IE 32-bit I would be grateful. Thanks Mike |
