JavaScript - Any Chance I Can Get Rid Of This Bottom Strip By Changing Some Of This Code?

I'm using forum with bb rich text editor, the problem that sometimes when a user copy and paste content, there ere extra codes that are not supported like:

Can you help me to write a script that automatically reformat the html content when pasted and only keeps specified tags like [img],[url],[b], defined in array ...

If it is not possible to reformat content when paste, I can add a button to the editor and call that function to format the content and return plain text with a specific tags.

It made to strip html tags, I replaced <> with [], It removes all tags and don't put space instead of the removed tags,

Will be like : helloName ???

I got an idea to make a stupid trick, like converting [IMG] to {IMG} and run that function and re convert {IMG} to [IMG] ...

Please help, I'm not good in Regular Expressions.

Is there any way to use javascript to strip codes or text from a webpage.

There is a comment section on a blog that I follow, and the blogmaster decided to try to put in a preview button. I found a site that had some code purporting to do just this

He pulled the code down and inserted it, making what appeared to be no significant changes.

Unfortunately, the preview strips all hard carriage returns and multiple spaces out. The result is one long paragraph that is more unreadable than the original.

What can be done to keep the formatting?

is it possible to strip leading (meaning at the VERY begining of the text) and trailing (anything at the end of the text) carriage returns with reg ex?

so if smbody enters

it would remove the start and end returns

I'd like to add it to this if possible.

So I have a little calendar widget on my site, for people to choose their dates for a reservation system. They then click a 'Book Now' button which creates a dynamic url (using their start date and the number of dates) to the booking engine. The problem is, the way it accomplishes this (window.location.href=), breaks cross-domain tracking on Google Analytics. And I'm not smart enough to figure out how to do it any other way.

What I'd like to do is have clicking the Book Now button change the URL in the form action within the form with ID resForm, and then submit the form. I'm hoping someone can help me edit the form so that it accomplishes this. I'd be incredibly thankful.

But it doesn't work. Why? Is it possible?

I am working on a ajax chat system right now and I've ran into a little problem. I have no idea how to go about doing this but I know there has to be a way of doing this because I've seen it done before on other ajax chats I've seen. How do I ago about moving the scrollbar of a div to the bottom so that it shows the last that has been entered into the chat.

If you need me to explain more then just let me know. But basically I'm wanting the scrollbar when it overflows in the window of a div to go and to the bottom when someone enters something new to the chat.

I have an iframe on my page which currently shows a separate website (one that i do not control). I'm trying to have the iframe automatically scroll to the bottom of the page. I'm pretty sure this is doable through javascript. The website does not have any anchor(s) or anything else that would be useful for what I'm trying to do.

I try to auto scroll to bottom of a div when the page is loaded. It works on firefox but it is not working on IE. How to scroll to bottom on a div when page is loaded on IE? You can test it by copy paste my codes into two html files.

How to wait until innerHTML finish render the contents before execute function asd()?

I have a scrolling div that has overflow set to hidden. I currently have it set up with a script that allows it to click and drag to scroll. However, I need some kind of visual indicator to show that you can scroll (sometimes it isn't obvious).

I want to know if there's a way to have an image appear until you scroll to one end of the list or the other (the image can be inside the div, or outside). So in other words, there would be a down arrow at the bottom of the list any time you can scroll down (aka everywhere but the bottom) and an up arrow any time you can scroll up (aka everywhere but the top). Some type of fade out animation would also be nice, but not necessary if it over-complicates things.

They would just be images, not functioning buttons.

I would greatly appreciate any help. Thank you.

They both work perfectly fine except when both linked up at the same time. Only the last one will work. I've tried to find how the codes are working when the page loads in order to fix that problem but I cant figure it out for these two specific codes.

FF loads them fine for me, as does IE *until* I hit the compatibility mode button, then it seems to sort of "hang"...but with IE, I'm not really ever sure of what it's doing is correct or not?
