In this code a checkbox is accessed as "document.form1.scripts[i].checked" If we see the tree view of this document, it is "table/form1/tr/td/scripts[i].checked" SO are we not required to add table elements in the path to the checkbox ? I guess its not required. But why ? Because cell, row and table are the parent elements in HTML tree, then why are they not required ? Hi all. Is it possible to command a find in page search from another html? I have a 'main page' and 'directory page' The directory page has find in page command on it, so if users can open the directory link from the main page and then search that page using the find in page search box. To speed this up, is there any way I can have a text box on my main page that when I enter text and submit that it carries across the text entry to the find in page box on the directory page and starts this search for me? I need to complete this using javascript so if this is possible I would great appreciate any help. Thanks Hello, I'm dynamically outputting the contents of a MySQL table using Python, to a HTML table, which users view (obviously) through a web browser. It looks great, but the problem is that I'd like users to be able to update these values. For example, I have the current value of certain fields in text boxes. I'd like users to be able to change those values, then hit a submit button or similar (ideally on-the-fly) to update the dB. I imagine javascript will need to pass values to a Python script, but I don't know what the best way to go about this is. The table is generated with a loop like so: Code:

I dont have much experience with javascript. the above code produces nothing, no alert messages and no returned elements. can be seen here http://www.scubaservice.com.au/calculation-test-2.html If I comment out the switch statement entirely and use the if statement; the first alert statement will produce a 1,2 or 3 depending on input but the second alert is always "QLD". There are several calculations for each of the returned values and these will be different depending on the state selected. In the code of my gallery software I have this line: <h2 id="item-title">{$theme.item.title|markup|default:" "}</h2> This displays the title of the image. I dont actually want to display the title of the image. However, when I delete this line, the gallery no longer works (in the view photo page, the javascript image loader just says loading). Is there a way to keep this required parameter in, so that my gallery works, but stop it from being displayed on the page?
