hi this is santosh first off all thanks in advance to all who r reading my question
im in prblm in my project in 1 file i have to first display textbox in html statically which will hav + & - button preceding it , & on click of + button one more textbox should appear dynamically & first textbox + button should disapper & it should hav only - button & the textbox which was dynamically generated now on click of first textbox + button should hav + & - button & it should go on. & on click of - button textbox which is in front of it should get deleted.

here i tried alot but my code is showing + & - button to every textbox that is dynamically generated which is not the requirement plz help me im in great need.

earlier also i hav submitted my queries & got a fully satisfied result bcoz of that now im having great hopes from u & this site

I have search for about a week and still no luck.
I need to dynamically display mutliple images using javascript, no hardcoding. The images have different categories. For ex. bellTower01.jpg, bellTower02.jpg...and fountain01.jpg, fountain02.jpg....

-Use JavaScript to display several images and scroll through them
To display multiple thumbnails, arrange them into a small quantity (no more than 8 per page)
Provide pagination

I really really really need help. I have never done javascript before, so I'm still learning. I seriously checked out many threads and links but nothing works or is what I want. I hope someone can help me out and hopefully also allow me to become better at coding this kind of stuff.

I am not allowed to code in php for this project. I can only use javascript to display the images. Also, I don't really need anything fancy, like slideshows or rotations, I just the image to appear when I select that specific category. I want to get the images from my folder/directory.

Right now, I have it working as it just being hardcoded.

cur_amount, cur_rate and selectvalue are supposedly primitive values (like numbers) but you fetch them as HTML code which the interpreting server script certainly can’t process. (if it should be indeed primitives, you should rather consider using form elements for that).

despite that jQuery has a method to fetch values off a form, which might be easier to implement, but that depends on the used HTML code.

additionally, in your browser’s dev tools you can check the network pane for what values are sent/received in the AJAX call.

Hello. I've been teaching myself HTML and CSS for a while, and now I've moved into the world of Javascript (but I'm still very much a beginner). For practice, I've been building a sample sign up form for a mock website, and I'm having problems with the birthdate section. The idea I had was to have MM, DD, and YYYY be the default values of my 3 textboxes (as an example for users), then set the value to nothing when the box gained focus. That all works fine, but I ran into problems when I tried to write an if statement to set the value back to MM, DD, or YYYY if the value was still nothing when the user clicked away. As it is now it just replaces the text inputted into the textbox (which of course is not good). Any ideas for what the problem might be?

Another side question, if I set a variable equal to the value of a textbox, then change the value of the variable, does that also change the value of the textbox? or is the variable no longer associated with the textbox. Example: Code:

Hello ! I am trying to create an auto suggest drop down.

I have some ASP and Javascript code that I am using as an Autosuggest. Trouble is, the result displays on the main page, not under the text box like a drop down menu. I need help in getting the results to display correctly underneath the textbox. Hi Folks,

Have a C# application. On one of the .aspx page, I have a simple textbox:

The Textbox display about half of its 100 character capacity to the user. I need the Tooltip to display the entire contents when hovered. Since the user can enter any length of text and hover the tooltip at any time, I figure Javascript in the codebehind page (.aspx.cs ) would be the solution. I know absolutley nothing about JAVA script ! Can anyone help ?

I have a simple JavaScript stopwatch that displays the time using an html form with start/reset and clear buttons. Basically I'm making a speed calculator that converts seconds into MPH. All I need it to do is divide whatever the amount of seconds are by 40.91. So instead of it displaying the seconds being counted up (i.e. 2 seconds, would displayed as 20.455 MPH). Does that make sense?

I have a long list consisting of a name and associated number, like this:

I would like to put two dropdown boxes where the user can select either the name or the number. Then based upon the users selection have both the name and number appear. I'm thinking of putting all the data in an array and using the dropdowns to query the array. That sounds good but I'm new to javascript and a detailed example of how to do this would be needed, if its even the right approach to take to accomplish this.

I've done some googling and have come across some information, but I'm not quite sure how to apply it to my problem.

I have a PHP page saturna.php with six frames on it using the frameset commands. I would like to somehow make it so that when I click on something in one frame (with one PHP page loaded in it - game.php), it automatically/dynamically updates one of the other PHP pages (inventory.php) in another frame. What will happen is when the thing is clicked on in game.php, an entry will be added to the database, and the second PHP page (which retrieves information from the database) will notice that there is a new relevant record, and will add it to the inventory.php page in the table I have constructed there.

From my googling it seems I need to use JavaScript to do this, but I'm not quite sure how - any ideas ?

Evening all.

I'm trying to dynamically create a canvas element. Later in the script it gets attached to the DOM, and this works fine if the last two lines are missing. I end up with a canvas element that is 3px wide and 100% of the containing div tall. However, the last two lines make it crash, with the error report 'canvases[i].fillRect is not a function'. If I change the last two lines to

it says 'drawing is null'. Something seems to be going wrong with the getContext bit, because setting the height and width work fine. Any ideas? It behaves the same if I append the canvas element to the DOM before trying to do the drawing as well. This is in FF4.0.1 with a xhtml1-strict.dtd doctype and valid html.

Hey everyone,

I currently have a grid of thumnails which when clicked will load an image at the top of the page without reloading the page using the following JS:

<a href="JavaScript:;" onClick="JavaScript:document.all.Main.src='images/image01.png';"><img src='images/image01thumb.png'></a>

This works wonderfully, However, what I need to do now is to produce the same thing but instead of loading an image, load an html file into the page without reloading. Is there a way I could use a similarly simple solution?

Hello

I was at the javascriptkit.com and was to use one of there Javascript calenders in my web page the "Popup Date Picker" and the "Date Time Picker". I have the calenders working fine and after the date is selected it fills in the correct textbox with the date. The problem is after the user selects the date in the calender popup window I would like it to run another javascript function. But I cannot see in the calender code how to have it call my javascript code. I also tried the OnChange event with the Textbox that the Calenders are filling in with the date but it only fires when I click in the textbox. I call the Calenders JavaScript functions from my JavaScript script function that is tied to an aspropDownList OnChange Event. Is there any way I can have these calenders call a javascript function
when the date is selected in there window? Or could I try to catch when the
textbox is filled in with the date and call my function then?
