JavaScript - Editing Javascriptkit.com Image Rotator To Pause On Keyboard Focus

I have a banner ad with an image rotation embedded in a DIV. It works quite fine, but doesn't have required SEO info, ie: alt text.

Now, I thought I would modify the code a little and include "Image Title" and "ALT Text"

I am not much of a scripting genius, therefore my modifications don't work.

Any ideas how I can get this to work

I have added an image rotator to my website using Java Script. The box for the rotator shows up on the published site but not the pictures. When I click on the box it links to the pictures I have added, and I know they are rotating because it changes every time I click on it. Also, the code does not seem to be showing up when I view the source of the page. I'm banging my head against this problem and I'd really appreciate some help. I think the problem is cause by my lack of understanding of how the browser (firefox 3.6.3) handles focus.

A simplified version of my problem is:

I've defined the function

When the page is loaded and I click in the second textbox I get the alert, all well and good. I OK the alert box, but when I click on box 1, or anywhere on the page for that matter, the function is called and the alert comes up.

I just don't understand why the focus is being returned to the second box when I click anywhere in the browser window.

Any comments will be gratefully received.

Let me start of by saying that I'm a designer, not a programmer so I'll apologize in advance for having very little knowledge of javascript.

I found a free script for a auto-advancing slideshow that allows you to give each image in the slideshow a unique link. My problem is that when you click on one of the pictures the link opens in a new window instead of loading in the default browser window. I have tried to search google for an answer but my lack of javascript knowledge has left me scratching my chin.

fooling around with it, I think I have determined that my problem is the window.open in the function gotoshow, but again, I'm a designer who has little knowledge of how this actually works.

So I have been asked to debug a page, for some reason that I cannot figure out after 3 days of messing I cannot use my keyboard in the input boxes to backspace or ANYTHING but enter new text.

Its a nice firefox 3 plugin that comes very close to emulating a mobile phone keyboard.

It has two drawbacks, one minor one major:

I am disable and and am unable to really use a keyboard, hence the virtual one. As you can imagine I also can't really write, so people send me PDF's that are editable which I can do text to speech with. I would really like to use this keyboard with these PDF's, but the selecting editable fields in a PDF doesn't produce the keyboard like selecting normal fields does. So basically I'm wondering if there is a "focused.type" for a PDF field, and if this depends greatly on how the editable PDF was made. This may be a stretch but I see in Adobe Reader there is an option to enable or disable JavaScript so I thought it might be possible.

The second problem involves the Enter key. It doesn't really submit forms, it can only add new lines. Not a huge deal, but I have this code:

I found this on another forum where someone had the exact same problem a few days ago with this keyboard. I've tried to add this to overlay.js file but it just doesn't seem to work.

for Geo.js this code working fine: Code:

But i dont know code with same function for GeoKBD.js
