JavaScript - How To Make This Popup Page
Hi
I have seen this popup in a registration form. I think it's using jquery but I don't know how can I make some thing like this . I want to put a registration form in it ( ajax registration ) when the popup appear , around it will became dark how can I do so ? thanks Similar TutorialsI have a web site application written in VB.net and asp. The main page uses JavaScript to load a popup page that performs multiple tasks. The main page accepts a variety of incoming messages, only SOME of which need to be passed to this popup page for processing. I found an ugly way to pass the message to the popup by placing it in a Session variable. Now I need to cause it to be handled. I see two possibilities, and I do not have a clue how to implement either. Either one would be great: 1. In the main page, trigger a subroutine in the popup, using JavaScript. OR 2. In the popup, establish a trigger any time that Session variable changes. Hi I want to create a popup that is completely contained within the page (so i guess its not really a popup). I'm looking for something where if a button is clicked, a small box will come up in the current window and become the active window, while the original window is visible but not active. It's hard to explain, but its a popup that is contained in the same window. And when the user presses okay or cancel on the "popup" window. They return to where they were in the original window. Is this possible? How would I do it? Thanks I have a page that loads a fancybox popup and it works perfectly with the cookie for setting ho many days to show. the problem i have is that i need it to show 1 every 24 hours over a 3 day period. once the 3rd day is over and the user sees the window for the 3rd day i need a cookie set to never show the window again. here is my code as it sits now. I have worked with this for a couple of days on and off and it is above my head for sure. any help is appreciated. $(function() { if ($.cookie('moment_comm')) { // it hasn't been 1 day yet } else { $("#autostart").fancybox({'overlayShow':true, frameWidth: 840,frameHeight:360}).trigger('click'); } } ); $('#autostart').live('click', function(e) { e.preventDefault(); $.cookie("moment_comm", "true", { path: '/', expires: 1 }); $.fancybox.close() }); Hi, i need to pass variables to a popup page. I have already made the page i want to be popped up, it is called popup.html and is in the same file location. Here is how i am making the page popup: Code: <head> <script type="text/javascript"> function prizes(){ var prize1 = ..... var prize2 = ..... .ect .ect myRef=window.open('popup.html','mywin','left=20,top=20,width=500,height=500,toolbar=0,resizeable=1'); myRef.focus() } </script> </head> so now i need the variables prize1, prize2....ect. to be used in the popup.html page. i now its nearly xmas but i need this for tomorrow so please help ASAP, PLEASE!! Thanks in advance! Thorbob Hi I wanted to control parent page form popup. For example, I have a page: http://www.cmela.com/zz.php When i open a popup by clicking "Click Here to open popup page" and then on popup window, i wanted it to transfer parent page from making a click on a pop up window. Example is at: http://www.cmela.com/zz.php open pop up window, and then by clicking on a link on a pop up window i wanted my parent page to go to www.msn.com any help? Thanks First, I will state that I am totally inexperienced in JavaScript. I have a web site application written in VB.net and asp. Thanks in advance for any help on this. Hello, I had a php page, which contains links when I click on a link it will issue a new page, I want to make the main page to be refreshed once the new page being closed. Any suggestions? thanks Hello: I have the following div popup window: PHP Code: <div id='PopUp' style='display: none; position: absolute; height: auto; left: 13px; top: 10px; border: solid black 1px; padding: 10px; background-color: rgb(255,255,225); opacity:.95; text-align: justify; font-size: 12px; width: 70%; z-index:1200;'> <iframe id="mate\" frameborder=0 scrolling=yes width=100% src='client_edit/edit_client_data.php?customerid=$customerid' height=\"790\" align=\"left\"></iframe><br /> <div valign=\"top\" style='text-align: right; display: inline; position: absolute; left: 10px; top: 10px;'><a onmouseover='this.style.cursor=\"pointer\" ' style='font-size: 12px;' onfocus='this.blur();' onclick=\"document.getElementById('PopUp').style.display = 'none' \" ><span valign='left' style=\"text-decoration: underline;\" ><img border='0' src='images/the-delete.png' width='22' height='20' title='Close Window'></span></a> </div></div> the popup is opened from its parent page with the following onclick event: PHP Code: <a href="javascript:void(0)\" onmouseover=\"document.edit_info.src='images/edit-user-info2.png'\" onmouseout=\"document.edit_info.src='images/edit-user-info.png'\" onclick=\"document.getElementById('PopUp').style.display = 'block' \"><IMG SRC=\"images/edit-user-info.png\" NAME=\"edit_info\" width='40' height='40' title='Edit Customer Contacts' ALT=\"...\"></a> Now when the popup is closed, I would like the parent page to automatically refresh. I would appreciate some help on this. To close the popup, the following is invoked: PHP Code: <div valign="top\" style='text-align: right; display: inline; position: absolute; left: 10px; top: 10px;'><a onmouseover='this.style.cursor=\"pointer\" ' style='font-size: 12px;' onfocus='this.blur();' onclick=\"document.getElementById('PopUp').style.display = 'none' \" ><span valign='left' style=\"text-decoration: underline;\" ><img border='0' src='images/the-delete.png' width='22' height='20' title='Close Window'></span></a> </div> How could I open a page/popup after closing one? The objective is to log the user out if they haven't Logged out or clicked Logout. I am sure there is a simple way to do this. None of my ideas work. The only answer I could come with (after testing the whole day...) IE(any version), Firefox, and other browsers don't support this idea, due to the fact that the user clicked close and you can't impose things on them. Hey guys, I'm looking for a way to disable the popup that appears by default when visitors try to leave a webpage that has my cpalead content locker widget on it. How do I make a swf pop up, on load, on a home page? Similar to the lightbox technique, I want an swf file to pop up on the home page when it first loads. I have looked into a similar type of script called "milkbox" but have had no luck. Any Advice would be greatly appreciated as I need this working within a day. Thank you so much and sorry if this should be posted in the Flash Section. I am not that great with web design but i am trying to create something like this site http://www.avrilbandaids.com/voteomatic/ I am trying to make something for my site - andygrammernation.com that is similar to this but with a different color scheme and with the mediabase link changed to vote for Andy instead of Avril. If anyone knows how to do this and would like to walk me through it that would be amazing!!! Thank you all so much!!! I don't want my sidebar columns to be too long when the main content is shorter. Is there any way (javascript? jquery? something else?) to only let certain divs load when the main content reaches a certain height?
I have a single webpage that contains information on all 50 U.S. states. There are 50 links at the top to jump down to the state you want, and at the bottom of the information for each state a Back to Top link. I'm making the Back to Top link into something more complex, and it will require three or four lines of code. So that I don't have to repeat the code 50 times, and create a burden when I need to edit it, I want to place it in a .js file and call it x. Then below the information for each state I'll simply have: Code: <script language="JavaScript">document.write(x)</script> Does calling code from a .js file 50 times slow down the page load? Which method would load faster? Or is the difference negligible? Thank you, Peter Hi, I'm kinda hoping this is possible but haven't found any reference to it... I have a parent page that opens a popup on click that launches a sidebar navigation on the right of the screen and resizes the parent page. What I am wanting to do is create a second popup (approx 250px high) that opens below the navigation (which is only around 600px high) but I have noticed that even when you have no status bar in the popup windows, they can still end up overlapping because of additional tools or plugins that the viewer has in their browser. Is there any way to get the popups to butt up against each other instead of overlapping? More like a relative popup? Any assistance would be appreciated. :-) Hello, I am currently learning JS and want to use the following to add a counter alongside the "Items Remaining" to countdown from 5 then once the max number has been reached my button to disappear and it say "finished". Can anyone help me please? Code: <!doctype html> <html> <head> <title>Adding Numbers Together</title> </head> <body> <form id = "frmOne"> <table border="1" > <tr> <th> Items Remaining </th> <td><Input Type="Text" Name="val" > </td> </tr> <tr> <th> Number One:</th> <th> Number Two:</th> </tr> <tr> <td> <Input Type="Text" Name="txtFirstNumber" Size="5" value=""> </td> <td> <Input Type="Text" Name="txtSecondNumber" Size="5" value=""> </td> </tr> <tr> <td colspan="2"> Totals: <textarea Name="totals" style="width: 400px; height: 300px;"></textarea></td> </tr> <tr> <td colspan="2"> <Input Type="Button" Name="b1" Value="Add Numbers" onClick = calculate()> </td> </tr> </table> </form> <script> var Totals = [ ]; function calculate() { var form = document.getElementById("frmOne"); var A = form.txtFirstNumber.value; var B = form.txtSecondNumber.value; Totals.push( A + " + " + B + " = " + (1*A+1*B) ); form.totals.value = Totals.join("\n"); form.txtFirstNumber.value = form.txtSecondNumber.value = ""; } </script> </body> </html> Hi. I am new here. I wanted help for a JavaScript code. You might think I'm lazy for not writing it myself, but the truth is I am not a JavaScript coder. I just have a really simple website and I am trying to do something for which I know JS is required but I don't know how to do it. I've also searched around but couldn't find the appropriate code. What I want to do is to make an html page load a different background image every time it refreshes. I will have a list of background images and I want to be able to add in this list, without having to change anything else in the codes after I do this (I think this is made by making an array of images and by putting .length somewhere in the codes, but I don't know exactly how I should do this). I already know how to do an external file (.js) and link to it from my .html page. Now I want the code to put in the .js file, and the code to put in the <body> of my .html file. Please help me Thanks |
