JavaScript - Submit Form Without Open Page

I want to implement a javascript function where a submit button will be submitted from the parent page each time I close a child page. Please let me know what I did wrong in my code and please elaborate your answer so that I could understand it better. Thank you so much for your help.

I have a slideshow on the "Projects" page. The javascript is external.
There's a link on the homepage that when clicked needs to open the Projects page with the appropriate slide loaded. How do I do that?

I've literally tried everything. Read 26 tutorials, interchanged code, etc.

My validation functions all work. My AJAX functions work (tested manually using servlet URL's).

The second servlet validates the reCaptcha form that's generated on my webpage. After the form is validated, even if everything's correct, nothing happens upon clicking submit. I even have an alert pop up if with the captcha result, just for middle-layer debugging purposes.

I want to do all of my validation clientside; none serverside. However, going to be tough if I can't get my god damn form to submit. I've been puzzled by this for close to 36 hours straight. I can't see, and I'm going to get some rest and hope that there is some useful insight on my problem when I return.

Hey guys, I have a quick question for you today

I am coding a little login script, just password, the security is meant to be weak I'm using it as a teaching aid: Here is my problem, I want it to go to a page if the password is true, and go to another if it isnt, my code will explain. The window.open works but it takes you to another tab I want it to load in the same place.

Currently the page has some divs' displays set to none. When a user clicks an anchored link, it displays the appropriate div.

I have a second page with a link for contact and I would like to know If their is a javascript that when I press the contact link on the second page that it can go to the home page and open the iframe for the cntact form.

i have a javscript code to load content into a div tag when the link is on the same page as the div tag, but i want to get a script where it will open a new page and load content into a div tag on that page.

like the link must be something like main.html?div=content.html

i know how to do this with iframes, but i want to work with div tags

I have seen Site where you want to add Message u click Link then the Form under the Link Shows Up .. it stays Hidden unless Visitor Click Link 'Send Message' .

I have a website that is using ajax to keep the page up to date with the database information. I call this page through a file called start.php. Once index.php is loaded it has a menu with selections. I then want it to call a page called query.php in an iframe to update the information, but not open a new window. In the iframe the query.php will run and then redirect itself to blank.php. The code is as follows and any help would be much appreciated. I have tried several methods of doing this and they have been commented out because they didn't work or didn't do what I wanted them to do. I do not want to use window.open since IE doesn't work well with it.

window.open does work by pop up windows but I want to stay away from them.
The main code I am looking to get help on is in red under start.php.

In start.php I will include the entire file. In index.php I'm only going to include the main sections I use for this snippit. In query.php I'm not going to include query.php since I beleive this file isn't important for this snippit.

Im trying to creat a website so when the small image is rolled over a new page opens in the frame ( called main) i will upload it now to http://www.e-z-host.com/GZ/ all help apricated ! at the momment you have to click to open the page in the main frame.

I have recently been tasked with a unique task and for the life of me I can not work out how to do it.

Using this website as an example:

http://www.coastalcontacts.com/cFaq.html

You can see that the FAQ questions open and close as you click on them, leaving the page looking clean for the most part.

Now I am writing up a landing page that will be doing something similar, however I would like the page to scroll down as each new question is opened up.

Meaning I click on one of the faq questions closer to the bottom of the page and then it scrolls down to show all the new content.

This does not need to happen for questions that do not go to the bottom of the page and are fully visible.

Any and all ideas would be much appreciated

I have a menu that lists all the categories and sub categories, when someone clicks a main category it opens up the sub cats for it. if someone clicks one of the sub cats the page open up to show all items in that category.

But what I would like to find out is how do I get the menu to open up as it was so it shows the category and sub category open?

Hello!

I am trying to make a form, with different options and, upon hitting submit, a new page will open with the created URL.

for example:


1) Enter the URL:
user enters: http://www.supertown.com

2) Enter the city:
user enters: Chico

3) Enter the state:
user enters: CA

[SUBMIT]

Then the following window opens:
http://www.supertown.com?city=Chico&state=CA


Ive been trying to figure this out for over an hour...AHH!
