JavaScript - Table Row Show/hide Depanding On The Contents Of A Variable
Hi
I want to get javascript to show or hide a row in a table depending on whether a value is held by a variable collected in a mulitple part formmail. If only 1 adult fills in their name on the earlier form there is no need to show the row which asks him to agree to membership on a later form page. If $adult2name is blank then name1 is blank and the row does not show, else $adult2name contains a name, name1 is not blank and the row shows. I have tried displaying the hidden form field (by changing it to text), and adding my own content, also putting in my own values instead if $adult2name and the Alerts appear as appropriate, but the whole table disappears whilst the alert is on and reappears when the alert is OKed for either condition of the if. Hi, I need a button that not only resets what is typed in the textarea but also hides all shown tables... Here's how my current set up is... ---------text area------ with a reset button table1 title (when clicked, shows a table under it) table2 title (when clicked, shows a table under it) table3 title (when clicked, shows a table under it) the tables under the main tables have buttons that when clicked on inserts texts in the textarea. Any help would be much much appreciated! I have a php page that essentially builds a pay report in the form of a table. The php side builds the page properly, though it took some time to get the table rows onmouseover and onmouseout functions to work for row highlighting. In my javascript function, the writeln() calls are for testing to see if the even is even firing. but nothing gets written to the page. Any thoughts on this would be greatly appreciated. Basically I want the row with the users name to be clickable which will show the details in the hidden div associated with the user. I have created two buttons with different background flags: italy and uk, so when one pushes the button with flag uk, the html page will be reloaded with only english rows, and when one pushes the button with flag it, the same page is reloaded containing only italian rows. All the code posted here works well, but I think that the code can be better because to reach this result I had to dupplicate the same function and I don' t like this. What I'm looking at is the ability to hide particular day using java if possible. I know you can use div's to do this and I've searched the forum for solution but it looks like my case is unusual. I have this page that take a while to load and I really don't want it to show the results in the browser before the php script finishes. So I was hoping that somebody could point me to a way to either give some sort of wait indicator (i.e. a bar, the trendy twrilling circle thingy) or just hide the everything till the page is completely loaded. Below this sentence is the original post I left in the PHP forum. Since the birth of CSS3 you can easily use fonts that are NOT on the local users PC. This is the best! Although some fonts do not render through the browser. I wrote this script (for personal use) which is pretty elementary which reads fonts in a directory (without installing them in windows) and then lets you display them in various web aspects. In the script I pick a random background color and calculate a contrast color and then determine if the text color should be black or white depending on the color of the background. What's happening is that if I pile a bunch of fonts in the fonts directory when the script executes it displays the contents until it 100% complete. Basically I'd like it NOT to do that. I was looking around a progress bars but .. they don't seem to do much. I couldn't find one that would either give you that twrilling circle while it loads or something to that nature. **Is you test this script you MUST create a folder named 'fonts' in the root of where you put the script! ***If you find ways that I can make this more effecient or any tips or tricks that'd be great and constructive criticism is always appreciated! If you see where I alert the value of currgroup, it displays "Group1" as it should... so the next line should be Group1.Contains(point); but it errors out as "currgroup.Contains(point) is not a function". If however I hard code it with Group1.Contains(point) it works fine. Is there a way to tell JS explicitly that I want it to use the variable contents instead of the name that I'm missing? How can I make it stop erroring and act as if the "v2" were, say, "WORKNOTEPAD2"? If the line contains the string it all works fine. It must be so simple... I was wondering if it is possible to put all the non null variables of an array into a string variable with spaces between each array value? For example, if array() is a text array and has 10 values, array(0) through array(9), with three of those values null, let's say array(3), array(5), and array(7) are null, is there a way to put the remaining seven values into a string variable with spaces between each array value?
