JavaScript - Help With Script To Populate Variables In Popup

i need blog popup java script can help me? i have premium account blog and i use some adf.ly links so i need auto popup window java script!

I am after a script that will allow a calendar to pop up to select a date in UK date format.

I have a page that has a form with three date fields so the script needs to be reusable.

I have been told to use jquery but could not work out how to reuse or get the calendar to be a different size other than half the size of the full page screen!

the whole sites CSS also got messed up using jquery for some reason, think maybe I had used the same CSS tags as jquery?

So looking for a basic calendar script no-frills, short sweet reusable. :-)

I adjusted a javascript code which was a clickable popup to an autoloading popup. Basicly when someone visits the page I want the popup to appear. It's working fine but Firefox doesn't display the popup on page load, only when clicked. (newsletter signup) Im just starting out on JavaScript. Can anyone help?

I'm kinda hoping this is possible but haven't found any reference to it...

I have a parent page that opens a popup on click that launches a sidebar navigation on the right of the screen and resizes the parent page. What I am wanting to do is create a second popup (approx 250px high) that opens below the navigation (which is only around 600px high) but I have noticed that even when you have no status bar in the popup windows, they can still end up overlapping because of additional tools or plugins that the viewer has in their browser.

Is there any way to get the popups to butt up against each other instead of overlapping? More like a relative popup?

Any assistance would be appreciated. :-)

I am trying to populate a listbox using Javascript. The listbox is populated using the xml response from ajax request. Below is the code used for the same

But i am facing performance issue here. some ajax requests retrieves xmls with around 11,000 nodes and this takes too much of time to populate the listbox.

I have a seperate .js sheet with some arrays on them (firstName, lastName, date, amount, city, state, zip) and I am trying to populate a table with these indexes. The 'yellowrow' highlights everyother row which is called out in my css sheet.

I really need help with this. I really don't know how to make this work. I need to populate a drop down menu with a value passed through the browser if it's passed.

so the browser URL will look like:
domain.com/?referer=YellowPagesOnline

I need to capture the referer value from the browser store it into a cookie. If the cookie is set and then populate the drop down on the page with the cookie. If it's not set then a list of sources should appear.

So I already have the code to grab the string and store it in a cookie but I'm not sure how to do the initialization of the drop down with the cookie value.

Hi. I am not sure if this has been answered to other posts but I tried to search and I can't find the right answer for my problem. I am trying to learn javascript for my self and can't figure out my self. Actually this is the same like the pop-up calendar but the only difference is I don't want numbers, I need a list of options so user can choose and when they select, it will transfer to the textbox right away like the calendar.

I have a form and trying to use a pop-up window to select an option then transfer the option selected to show on the textbox. I have 10 textboxes and all of them has a "Select" button to pop-up the option list. BTW, the "SELECT" button will populate the same option list. Here is my html code:

Hi guys, I am facing the above problem for a chatroom app that I am making. People will enter and exit the room any time they want, so i need a member list that updates itself to reflect this on the screen of all users that are in the chatroom.

What i have thought of, is to have JS call a PHP function on specific intervals, and that PHP function will retrieve user data from a database and pass it to JS to display on the list. Is this method advisable? Are there any more suitable ways of doing this?

I am thinking of applying the same theory for displaying and retrieving chat messages, but i get the feeling that something's missing for this, or maybe this method is not right for displaying messages.

I'm new to Javascript and need to help with something, I'll try and explain this as best as I can but feel free to ask questions if it doesn't make sense. I'm basically building a javascript/html calculator but I need the calculation to appear gradually in a table, the table need to be 3 columns accross and add a row each time a calculation button is pressed, the first column can remain blank for now but will need to contain a text field eventually, second column needs to show the calculation symbol, third column shows the number. Here's an example:

4+2+7-5=8
