JavaScript - Scroll To Bottom Of The Page

I am trying to find some examples of something I know I have seen in the past, but I am unable to put together a search that is coming up with anything.

What I have is a div of content that I need to always be visible on the screen. The page needs to be scrolled to read through it all so I need a way for the div to move down the page as I scroll.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Im looking for a script to show a sliding popup from bottom right to upward direction after the page is loaded with a close button to.

Hi, I have this simple code for gallery on my page. And everything working fine but when i click on small picture to change big picture if I'm page scroll up to top of page. So i scroll to the gallery change picture ad page scroll up to the top. What could be the reason? Here is live axample:

Hi, i been poken around on here and have not found anything on this as of now, so i thought i would ask.

i have a table of data that is positioned in the middle of one of my pages, rather than change the layout i thought it would be nice to just have the page auto scroll down to the middle of the page when the page loads so that the user does not have to constantly scroll down..

i tried this and several versions of it with no luck..

I'm using this script to scroll two divs, which each activates self scrolling onMouseOver and onMouseOut deactivate scrolling by setting allowscroll varible to 0.
And everything works fine, but this script doesn't allow to scroll browser entire page!
So is there a script wich will scroll browser page when allowscroll is equal to 0?

They both work perfectly fine except when both linked up at the same time. Only the last one will work. I've tried to find how the codes are working when the page loads in order to fix that problem but I cant figure it out for these two specific codes.

. . . .There is a problem when linking to newpage.htm#low (or an inside-the-page link to #low) because the page-end goes to the bottom of the browser window, and the location (#low) appears somewhere in the vertical middle of the browser window, so it's difficult for a user to know where they should begin reading, and they get confused.

Looking for a simple way to have a hidden element made visible when the page scrolls.

The idea is to have a back arrow appear only when the page has been scrolled horizontally.

I've been handed an html document that contains a centered, scrollable <iframe> element with a static height and width. This iframe element displays a simple html document that houses the 'terms of service' text.

Their goal is to have it to where the <a href> link at the bottom that is shown to the user as 'next' is disabled until the user scrolls to the bottom of the terms of agreement box.

The clickable link could be a button, image or text (no preference).

They have to have it this way for legal reasons and radio buttons or checkboxes will not suffice unfortunately.

Question:

What is the best way to go about doing this that seems to be cross-browser friendly (especially IE7).

I offer $10 via paypal for well commented method/script.

Does anyone know where I could get a scroller similar to the one used in this recent news div?

Have a container set to an em height and need the get the scroll or overflow value. Basically need to know if text node inside container has content hidden below the height allowed. How do I get this?

I've started seeing this on a few pages and I'd like to add it to mine. I'd like to add a back to top button where it doesn't just jump right to the top, but acts like the user were actually using the scroll bar.

I like the first one better (where it shows an up arrow if you've scrolled far enough), and I found what I think is the javascript responsible (though I'm not sure if it's exact right to take it.) let alone, i'm not sure how i would even implement it yet.

i've got a basic example working on my own site, I just don't know how to stop it, (right now it just keeps going and going even if i try to scroll back down.) i'd like to be able to tell if the user reached the top, then stop it, but from what I've looked, i can't find a way to check where exactly they are in my page.

i figure, if i can get mine to stop, I can fancify it later with the image that shows if you've moved down and what not,

right now I'd like to just stop it when it reaches the top.

I am wondering how i can make a page auto scroll in any direction when the mouse gets too close, i was thinking about an image following the mouse could do it <didnt work, any ideas on how i would do that?
