JavaScript - Display Text When Checkbox Clicked

may I ask how do you display a line or a sentence when you click the checkbox? Similar TutorialsHey all, I would like to get the id of a html check box when the client clicks it. I want to do this on the client side so i need to use java script. I want to be able to do this in both fire fox and ie window.event.srcElement works great for ie but not for firefox please do not tell me to use Event.target for firefox because that does not work. Is this possible? Chad Hi guys. I have a lot of information on my site that is in multiple categories. I have a list of categories, each with its own checkbox. By default, all the information is displayed (therefore all the checkbox's are checked by default). When someone unchecks the box I want to hide the divs with that class, and when someone rechecks the box, they should reappear. Here is my code so far. Hello I need to not publicly display phone number inside my website page (I use Joomla CMS). In fact the main goal is of course to be able to show the number but not to be crawled by search engine.. So in practice instead to see this: Phone: 013456789 I would like to see this: Phone: Click here for see the number By clicking on that link the number must be displayed... I asked in some forum and some people tell me is possible to customize this php code with javascript for let me hide/show the field value but I don't have a single idea how to do this because I'm not a programmer... I take a look in all javascript libraries but I don't find any javacript ready for use for let me implement it inside the php code... Hi guys, I've been breaking my brains for few hours, I already searched online and I found nothing so far. What I wanna do.... I have 5 different images linked to 5 different websites. Once the image is clicked, the first link will be displayed in an iframe, and the image will change to the second one. Once we click on the second image, the second link will be displayed using the same iframe, and so on. The code changes the images,but I dunno how to deal with the link to the websites. Hey guys, Im trying to figure out how to display a string of text beneath the drop down when a specific option is selected. for example: if you select 'Colors' just plain text would appear the drop down and show the list of colors 'red, blue, green, yellow' or if you select 'Fruit' the plain text shows the list of fruit "orange, banana, apple, lemon' Any ideas or can you guys point me in the right direction? I have a similar code except its when you type in a number in a textarea it would output the coressponding data. This is a follow up to my older thread, about tables and finding images within them. So after getting some help from "Krupski" I found myself stuck again. I'm trying to go at this rather from an other point of view, instead of getting the cell information I am now trying to get the alt text value. from within the image tag. but being a novice at this well ive hit a wall. My code so far. searches though the table finding the sad images then i want it to display the Alt-text or an other value table_id or similar. also is there a fast way of putting in Alt text like A1,2,3 B1,2,3 etc like an automated loop. for every element I wanted to hide by clicking the text. It works fine, but the content of the div is already displayed when loading the page itself. I want it to be hidden first, and only visible when you blick the text. Is this possible? I have the ability to remotely upload a text file to a folder on my web server. Periodically during the day I update that file and re-upload it which overwrites the previous file. thanks! Hey all. I have a simple validation I need to do. I need to just make sure that a Checkbox is checked, and that a Text field has content. Sounds simple but I cannot find any thing that has a check and a text field. Here what I have. Can I modify this script to do this? A Checkbox MUST be checked and Text field MUST be filled out.
