JavaScript - Jquery .remove Crash!
Hi.
I have a script which adds table rows dynamically to a table, when I delete a few removes with the jquery .remove(); sometimes the browser hangs and I have to refresh the page to make the page to work. Any ideas? I was thinking to put a sleep or timeout command just after the row removal, because if I remove rows slowly it won't crash, but if you remove 3-4 rows quickly it will crash, please help! Similar TutorialsIs there a way to do this? Maybe something like this... Code: $("td:contains(' ')").css("display", "none"); Although for whatever reason, the code above isn't working... Hi. I want to make jQuery check, whether if I've supplied text into all fields. If not, then jQuery adds some styling to the input boxes pointing out, the user must type something. However, I do not want to do many, many lines of jQuery to do this with all of the inputs. Is there a way to check which input is empty, and then add styling to the individual one? And then remove the style, if it's no longer empty. Like - ONE piece of code, that checks all of the inputs, and adds style to the ones, that are empty. Here's what I have right now. Code: <script type="text/javascript"> $(function(){ $('#register').click(function(){ var username = $('#username').val(); var password = $('#password').val(); if(username == ""){ $('#username').css({ background: '#F3CACA', border: '1px solid #E61A1A' }); }else{ $('#username').removeAttr('style'); } return false; }); }); </script> I played around with if(username == "" || password == ""). It works, but then I got lost on how to add styles to the individual input that is empty. Hello, I'm trying to remove one of the $ signs from this string below. It doesn't give me an error message or shut down the browser, it just quits reading the script. I get the alert box "!e" and "before" but I don't get anything for "after". At the line var x = e.pageX; it seems to die. This seems to happen anytime I use e, for example e.clientX, e.screenX, e.type, etc. This doesn't occur in IE. Whats wrong with this simple short code? all im doing is increasing/stretching the height of a div Code: <html> <head> </head> <body> <div id="mybutton" style="height:50px; width:50px; background-color:#C00;"></div> </body> <script type="text/javascript"> var height = 0; var b = document.getElementById("mybutton"); b.onmouseover = funct; function funct() { height ++; b.style.height = height + 'px'; if(left == 100) { clearInterval(id); } var id = setInterval(funct, 10); } </script> </html> So, i have this code which retrieves php files for me using jquery and id love to get it working with Jquery history plugin. Ok, I would post my entire data here but then yall would be reading insane amounts of script. I've got a div content jquery slider on my site I am making and it works beautifully in all browsers(took me a while). Then, I decided why not have it where when people click on a "read more" link that it pops up a box, instead of directing to the new page, and displays the contents of a div. It would not work at all. My question is there a possible way to do this?

Hello, I'm currently using this code: I want it so that there isnt a box around the countdown, and the countdown is the same text as "you will be redirected in" here is it in action: http://www.playelite.org/redirect.html Code: <form name="redirect"> <center> <font face="Arial"><b>You will be redirected in: <form> <input type="text" size="3" border="0" name="redirect2"> </form> seconds</b></font> </center> <script> <!-- var targetURL="http://google.com" var countdownfrom=10 var currentsecond=document.redirect.redirect2.value=countdownfrom+1 function countredirect(){ if (currentsecond!=1){ currentsecond-=1 document.redirect.redirect2.value=currentsecond } else{ window.location=targetURL return } setTimeout("countredirect()",1000) } countredirect() //--> </script> Thanks Hi all, here i got a problem, i want to remove all the Li tag that with a classname"test" . I figured out that I could use this other script to do stuff just after the window gets resized. Code: (function($,sr){ // debouncing function from John Hann // http://unscriptable.com/index.php/2009/03/20/debouncing-javascript-methods/ var debounce = function (func, threshold, execAsap) { var timeout; return function debounced () { var obj = this, args = arguments; function delayed () { if (!execAsap) func.apply(obj, args); timeout = null; }; if (timeout) clearTimeout(timeout); else if (execAsap) func.apply(obj, args); timeout = setTimeout(delayed, threshold || 100); }; } // smartresize jQuery.fn[sr] = function(fn){ return fn ? this.bind('resize', debounce(fn)) : this.trigger(sr); }; })(jQuery,'smartresize'); // usage: $(window).smartresize(function(){ // code that takes it easy... }); So I re-instantiate the misbehaving script in there so it fires whenever the window is resized (I changed it to 500 so it really only fires once after you are done resizing). This fixes it. The new instance doesn't have a problem but the old instance is still there and messed up. so I use. $($.misbehaving-script).remove(); just before instantiating after window resize, which gets rid of broken instance. Problem solved.. Except that messes up a different script! It's driving me crazy. Any advice would of course be very welcome. Hi Guys, I'm new at JS.
