JavaScript - Load Iframe Every 3 Minutes
Hi everyone,
I run a streaming site and would like google adsense to appear at the bottom of the page/stream every 3 minutes, stay for 15 seconds and then close automatically. Then after another 3 minutes they'd appear again, stay for 15 seconds and then close again, etc, etc. I'd imagine having the adsense in an iframe would be easier. I'd also like to give users the option to close the adsense using a close button at the top of the iframe if they don't want to wait 15 seconds. Is this possible? Similar TutorialsI have a script (provided by someone else). The problem is the result is not the desired one. Example: I'm getting my hours and minutes in a decimal format. 8:33 is showing as 8.55 I have 3 fields. Field 1 is Time In (2127) Field 2 is Time Out (0600) Field 3 is Total hours worked (8:33) I'm no expert and don't understand JavaScript at all. Here is the script and hope someone can help. Thanks in advance. Cheers, Jim Salo var vTime1 = TextField1.rawValue; var vTime2 = TextField2.rawValue; if (vTime1.length == 4 && vTime2.length == 4) { var vTime1Minutes = parseInt(vTime1.substring(0, 1))*600 + parseInt(vTime1.substring(1, 2))*60 + parseInt(vTime1.substring(2, 4)); var vTime2Minutes = parseInt(vTime2.substring(0, 1))*600 + parseInt(vTime2.substring(1, 2))*60 + parseInt(vTime2.substring(2, 4)); if (vTime1Minutes > vTime2Minutes) this.rawValue = (vTime2Minutes+1440 - vTime1Minutes)/60; else this.rawValue = (vTime2Minutes - vTime1Minutes)/60; } Hi all I have an asp page page with a DIV container that is activated when a user clicks a link (using javascript to activate it. It pops up similar to a light box). The contents of the DIV is an Iframe from another website. The Iframe is hidden when the page loads. Loading in the Iframe when the page loads is affecting performance of the page. I'm wondering if there is a way to load the Iframe when the user clicks the link to activate the DIV light box. This way the page doesn't have to load the Iframe straight away... only when the user needs it... I appreciate any ideas. at the day i include to my web page an iframe , in browser like firefox , opera works fine, but in ie6 sometimes cannot load the content of iframe , and a code who load page in iframe <iframe frameborder="0" scrolling="no" src='index.php' name='mainFrame' onload='in_process = false; resizeIframe("mainFrame");' id='mainFrame' width="100%"> </iframe> the follow show IE6 Hi, I have a webpage structured as below and want the contents in the iframe to load prior to the code below it. At the moment the javascript(resizing stuff) in the iframe code delays the iframe from loading in full before the "streaming music player" code. This iframe javascript is on the page as opposed to an external file. I would have thought the iframe would have to load in full before the code below it would be executed. How do I make the iframe load in sequence or delay/hide the code below it until iframe is fully loaded? Thanks ####header#### flash ####header menu#### flash ####iframe#### lots of javascript and content from page on mywebsite (not external url) ###streaming music player##### embedded flash player linked to external site ####footer menu#### flash I am a javascript newbie. I have a radio website that runs a live stream 24/7. The live stream is loaded in to an iframe named "stream". I only ever have 2 files that show in that iframe. 1 for when the user has the stream on and another for when they turn it off. stream_on.php and stream_off.php I also have podcasts on the site and my goal is when the user clicks the .swf object to play the podcast, the live stream in the iframe changes to stream_off.php so that the 2 audios don't overlap each other. Here's the code I have so far for the .swf object. PHP Code: <object type='application/x-shockwave-flash' data='player_mp3_maxi.swf' width='50' height='20' class='blur' onclick="window.open('stream_off.php','stream')\"> <param name='movie' value='player_mp3_maxi.swf' /> <param name='bgcolor' value='#666666'>"; if ($row['location'] == "") { echo "<param name='FlashVars' value='mp3=". $site ."podcasts/". $filename ."&showslider=0&showstop=1&autoload=0&bgcolor1=330066&width=50' />"; } else { echo "<param name='FlashVars' value='mp3=http://". $row['location'] . $filename ."&showslider=0&showstop=1&autoload=0&bgcolor1=330066&width=50' />"; } </object> And the code for the iframe. It's default state is stream_on.php since on load I want the stream to start right away. I only need it to change upon clicking of any .swf object on the page. PHP Code: <iframe src='stream_on.php' id='stream' marginheight='0' width='195' height='110' frameborder='0' scrolling='no'></iframe> As you can see, I put the onclick in the object tag. Is this correct ? Is there a piece of javascript code I am missing ? Please Help. Hi, I am looking for some code that will do the following Form to post any URL to an iFrame and load said URL. I been told Javascript can do this, but I am also after the form bit as well if possible. I'm slowly scraping away errors from a page im working on and ive found this forum to be very helpful- down to one more that i wanted to post on. sample page is he http://darrenlasso.com/freelance/loo.../lookbook.html Works fine in most all browsers except for IE8- ive even had to include built in ie7 compatibility to get it to work at all. Problem is most likely associated with my js, which is: Code: function ShowPage(frame) { frames[0].location = frame+'.html' } and html is: Code: <div id="thumb1"><a onmouseover="ShowPage('frame1')"onclick="ShowPage('frame1')" rel="nofollow" target="mainbox"></a></div> <div id="thumb2"><a onmouseover="ShowPage('frame2')"onclick="ShowPage('frame2')" rel="nofollow" target="mainbox"></a></div> <div id="thumb3"><a onmouseover="ShowPage('frame3')"onclick="ShowPage('frame3')" rel="nofollow" target="mainbox"></a></div> etc etc.. Which is just something i found online - probly isnt right for what im trying to accomplish. If you go to the site- you navigate by hovering over/clicking the images at the top and that loads a new page into the iframe below. Id like to be able to fix the errors and get it working without having to force ie7 compatibility if possible too. Any help is much appreciated From an iframe, I want to load and play a playlist in a wimpy mp3 player in the parent page. I can do it as if it is a popup window but it requires that from one iframe, I reload the player in the other iframe. Here are the functions given by wimpy: Code: <script language="JavaScript" type="text/JavaScript"> <!-- var wimpyWindow; var winOpen= 0; function wimpyPopPlayer(wimpyPopPage, theWidth, theHeight) { wimpyWindow = window.open(wimpyPopPage,'wimpyMP3player','width='+theWidth+',height='+theHeight); winOpen=1; } function wimpyPopPlayerWithFile(wimpyPopPage, initialFile, theWidth, theHeight) { wimpyWindow = window.open(wimpyPopPage+'?theFile='+initialFile,'wimpyMP3player','width='+theWidth+',height='+theHeight); winOpen=1; } function wimpyIsOpen(){ if (winOpen==1){ if (wimpyWindow.closed){ return false; } else { return true; } } else { return false; } } function wimpyPopAndPlay(startOnLoad, theFile, theArtist, theTitle, graphicURL, hotlinkURL){ if(wimpyIsOpen()){ wimpyWindow.wimpy_addTrack(startOnLoad, theFile, theArtist, theTitle, graphicURL, hotlinkURL); } else { wimpyPopPlayerWithFile('home2.shtml',theFile,'325','350'); } } //--> </script> Is there a way to do it that targets the player in the iframe without treating it like a popup window? Any help greatly appreciated! Ok, I am aware this will sound like a plug for my script, but please bare with me. I created a bookmarklet script to help me audit extremely large style sheets. Basically while on a site that you would like to audit, you click the bookmarklet and the document's body contents gets remove and replaced with an iframe that points to the current sites home page. From here you can choose what style sheet (the script finds) to begin reporting over. The more pages you browse (through the iframe) the more accurate the report gets. My problem however, is if the person is on the site's home page when first running the script, the iframe never loads up. I think it has to do with the fact that you are on the home page, and then the iframe tries to point to the home page as well and fails for some reason. Is there any solution that comes to mind for anyone out there? You can test it by bookmarking this bookmarklet and running it on any site's home page where style sheets can be found: Get The Bookmarklet on this page Again, it works great if you don't start the script from a sites home page. Hello all, my second post! I finally got the below script working in Firefox and was really pumped about it until I realized it didn't load in Google chrome or Safari. What this script does is its a dual onclick event which makes a hidden div appear and loads an iframe within the now visible div. Here is the code, I would love any input on how to make this work in other browsers. Here is the header code: Code: <SCRIPT type="text/javascript"> <!-- var state = 'none'; function showhide(layer_ref) { if (state == 'block') { state = 'none'; } else { state = 'block'; } if (document.all) { //IS IE 4 or 5 (or 6 beta) eval( "document.all." + layer_ref + ".style.display = state"); } if (document.layers) { //IS NETSCAPE 4 or below document.layers[layer_ref].display = state; } if (document.getElementById &&!document.all) { hza = document.getElementById(layer_ref); hza.style.display = state; } } //--> </script> <SCRIPT type="text/javascript"> function loadIframe(iframeName, url) { if ( window.frames[iframeName] ) { window.frames[iframeName].location = url; return false; } else return true; } </script> Here is the code on the page where a link click shows the hidden div and loads the iframe contained. Code: <p><a href="#" onclick="showhide('div1');return loadIframe('ifrm1', 'http://www.google.com');">show/hide me</a></p> </td></tr> <div id="div1" style="display: none; position: fixed; z-index:4; width: 1010px; height: 500px; left: 5%; top: 15%; background-color: #f0f0f0; border: 1px solid #000; padding: 10px;"><iframe name="ifrm1" id="ifrm1" width="100%" height="90%" scrolling="yes" frameborder="0">Sorry, your browser doesnt support iframes.</iframe><p><a href="#" onclick="showhide('div1')">close</a></div>'; As always, any input is greatly appreciated! I'm stuck in my code where I need to have a particular quote or text steady in my site for every 30 minutes and changes only after 30 minutes. Right now I'm just randomizing the array of quotes using rand function. Can anybody please help me with having one steady for every 30 minutes. My intention is that everybody on the site at that moment should be seeing the same quote for 30 minutes. Visitors come from various countries. Code: <script language="JavaScript"> var Quotation=new Array() Quotation[0] = "Time is of the essence! Comb your hair."; Quotation[1] = "Sanity is a golden apple with no shoelaces."; Quotation[2] = "Repent! The end is coming, $9.95 at Amazon."; Quotation[3] = "Honesty blurts where deception sneezes."; Quotation[4] = "Pastry satisfies where art is unavailable."; Quotation[5] = "Delete not, lest you, too, be deleted."; Quotation[6] = "O! Youth! What a pain in the backside."; Quotation[7] = "Wishes are like goldfish with propellors."; Quotation[8] = "Love the river's \"beauty\", but live on a hill."; Quotation[9] = "Invention is the mother of too many useless toys."; var Q = Quotation.length; var whichQuotation=Math.round(Math.random()*(Q-1)); function showQuotation(){document.write(Quotation[whichQuotation]);} showQuotation(); </script> Hello I am trying to do something similar to this post http://www.codingforums.com/showthread.php?t=168903 except I need it to be dependent on the hour and minute. Background: I am trying to create a schedule website, the schedule has say 20 items and I want it to display the current "active" event in the schedule, 1 previous event and 3 future events so a total of 5 items from the schedule. An event can range from 30 minutes to 2 hours long, so simply using the above code will not work. It needs to take the minutes into consideration as well. Let me know if you have additional questions. EDIT: 17-Mar-12 @ 12:37PM I would rather not use a bunch of if statements. (http://www.codingforums.com/showthread.php?t=250358) The schedule could change mid day so having to go through and edit a bunch of if statements would not be ideal he everyone please i want to know how to submit a form using ajax every 5 minutes without reloading page i have a huge form for exams and i need to submit the form without the need to wait until pressing submit because the user may wait to think about the answer a very long time.. so i want to submit the form and at the same time i cant reload the page as it is in normal submit form.. so how i can submit form in the background without letting the user knows that the form is submitted??? Hi all Is there a way to get the image(s) to load into the table after the page has loaded instead of the way I have it now? I have 4 tabs, but I would like the imgs in tabs 2,3,4 to load after page load. Example of how the tabs look. Code: <div class="tabbertab"> <h2>Australia_____</h2> <table width="100%" border="0" cellpadding="3" cellspacing="1" bgcolor="#FFFFCC"> <caption class="highlight_Red">澳洲 Australia </caption> <tr> <td><a href="pages/promotion.html#aus_ACE" rel="nofollow" target="_blank"><img src="pages/images/Pics/AUS/ace.jpg" alt="ACE / ATTC" width="110" height="69" border="0" align="left" class="ozimg_L"/> ...a few more images etc the other tabs look the same. LT This script displays a link to a registration/login form that loads in a light box for Joomla. I've been goin nuts trying to figure out how to get this to load on page load with a delay. Anyone know how to get this done? PHP Code: <?php JHTML::_('behavior.mootools'); $document = JFactory::getDocument(); $document->addStyleSheet(JURI::base() . 'media/system/css/modal.css'); $document->addScript(JURI::base() . 'media/system/js/modal.js'); $document->addScriptDeclaration("window.addEvent('domready', function() {SqueezeBox.initialize({});});"); $user = & JFactory::getUser(); $uri = JFactory::getURI(); $url = $uri->toString(); $return = base64_encode($url); ?> <div id="lbframeid" style="position:absolute;top:1px;left:1px;height:0px;width:0px;overflow:hidden"> <a href="http://www.wowjoomla.com/"><h1>Joomla Login LightBox powered by WowJoomla.com</h1> </a> </div> <?php if ($user->get('guest')) :?> <a href="<?php echo JRoute::_('index.php?option=com_loginbox')?>" onclick="SqueezeBox.fromElement(this); return false;" rel="{handler: 'iframe', size: {x: 660, y: 500}}"><?php echo JText::_('SIGNUP_LOGIN')?></a> <?php else: ?> <?php echo JText::sprintf( 'HINAME', $user->get('name') ); ?> <br> <a href="javascript:void(0);" onclick="LB_onLogout(); return false;"><?php echo JText::_('LOGOUT')?></a> <?php endif; ?> <script type="text/javascript"> function LB_onLogout() { var form = new Element('form'); form.setProperty('method', 'POST'); form.setProperty('target', '_self'); form.setProperty('action', 'index.php'); var input = new Element('input'); input.setProperty('type', 'hidden'); input.setProperty('name', 'option'); input.setProperty('value', 'com_user'); form.appendChild(input); var input = new Element('input'); input.setProperty('type', 'hidden'); input.setProperty('name', 'task'); input.setProperty('value', 'logout'); form.appendChild(input); var input = new Element('input'); input.setProperty('type', 'hidden'); input.setProperty('name', 'return'); input.setProperty('value', '<?php echo $return; ?>'); form.appendChild(input); $E('body').appendChild(form); form.submit(); } </script> Is there a way to resize an iframe dynamically so that you never get the scroll bar and essentially hide that there is an iframe? Better integration really. Basically I want to iframe a forum into my site so that the design down the sides and top which my friend does using iweb are not messed with. We have a central area which can be longer or shorter depending on the forum. Hi all, I hope you can help I have some code which: 1) Opens a URL (e.g. google.com) in a hidden iframe, then 2) Redirects the visitor to a different URL (e.g. yahoo.com) after it has loaded... This works exactly as I need. What I'd like to do is the following: 1) Open a URL (e.g. google.com) in a hidden iframe, then 2) Redirect the visitor to a different URL (e.g. yahoo.com) in a full-screen iframe 3) The address bar of the full-screen iframe should be my domain (obviously!) Here's what I have so far... Hidden iframe -> New URL Code: Code: <html> <body> <script type="text/javascript"> var page_body = document.getElementsByTagName('body'); var myframe = document.createElement('iframe'); var id = Math.random(); myframe.setAttribute('id', 'myFrame'+id); myframe.src = 'http://google.com'; //First open Google in hidden iframe myframe.setAttribute('frameborder', '0') myframe.setAttribute('width', '0'); myframe.setAttribute('height', '0'); if (myframe.attachEvent) { myframe.attachEvent('onload', function() { top.location = 'http://yahoo.com'; //Once loaded redirect to Yahoo -- but the address bar shows yahoo.com -- I want the address bar to display mydomain.com/page.html }); } else if (myframe.addEventListener) { myframe.addEventListener('load', function() { top.location = ('http://yahoo.com'); }, false); } page_body[0].appendChild(myframe); </script> </body> </html> I have an example of some code which displays the full screen iframe, but my problem is... ...I can't figure out how to redirect to this after the hidden iframe has loaded Here's an example of how I want the redirect to display -- after the initial hidden iframe has loaded: Code: <html> <head> <script type="text/javascript"> function sendParams() { document.body.style.overflow = "hidden"; } </script> </head> <body> <!--Open Yahoo.com in a full screen iframe, and disable extra scrollbar --> <iframe height="100%" width="100%" frameBorder="no" onload="sendParams()" src="http://yahoo.com"></iframe> </body> </html> I've been beating my head against the wall today trying to figure this out, and I'm fresh out of ideas. If you can help, you'll have some serious gratitude and good karma thrown your way! Best wishes, and thanks in advance, Paul Hi there everybody, I've got this problem which I can't solve myself... I've got a website which has 3 colums and is hosted on domain1.com. in the right column I've got an Iframe which loads content from domain2.com . this content are some textboxes and a datepicker tool. if I press the 'search'-button in this Iframe I would like to refresh the mainpage (from domain1.com) so that another Iframe appears in the middle column. in this column i would like to load a new form from domain2.com which contains the values that I've put in in the form from the right Iframe. Unfortunally I can't get this to work... Will somebody please help me? Hi guys, I am trying to insert the following call into my page; Code: <script type="text/javascript" defer="true"> $('#query').autocomplete({ serviceUrl:'service/autocomplete.ashx', minChars:1, delimiter: /(,|;)\s*/, // regex or character maxHeight:400, width:250, deferRequestBy: 0, //miliseconds params: { country:'Yes' }, //aditional parameters // local autosugest options: lookup: ['January', 'February', 'March', 'April', 'May'] //local lookup values }); </script> It works fine in all browsers except ie(6,7,8) Code: Internet Explorer can not open website. Operation Aborted. I understand it is caused by the jquery autocomplete function loading before the page / DOM has fully loaded. I tried adding Defer="true" to the script however this doesn't seem to work. Could someone please tell me what i must add to the script so that it loads after the dom has fully loaded? Thanks guys George I have used iframes for my site and found various javascripts so when a person clicks on say the audio page he http://www.krillmeed.com/index.html it takes them to the audio page but will load it into the index.html page. The problem is, especially with search engines, to point to that page, this is what the URL looks like to send someone to that page: http://www.krillmeed.com/?frame=0&sr...m%2Faudio.html which is not very clean at all, this is the javascript that i found that at least works: Child iframe script: Code: <script type="text/javascript"> (function(){ var qstr = '?frame=0&src=' + encodeURIComponent(location.href), lre = new RegExp('^' + location.protocol + '//' + location.hostname + '(()|(/)|(/index.html)|(/index.php))(()|(\\' + qstr + '))$'); if (!lre.test(parent.location.href)){ top.location.href = '/' + qstr; } })(); </script> Parent iframe Script: Code: <script type="text/javascript"> (function(){ function getQval(n) { if(typeof n !== 'string'){ return null; } var r = new RegExp('[?&;]' + n + '=([^&;#]*)'), m = location.search; return (m = r.exec(m))? unescape(m[1]) : null; } var f = getQval('frame'), s = getQval('src'); if(f && frames[f] && s && s.indexOf(location.protocol + '//' + location.hostname + '/') === 0){ frames[f].location.href = s; } })(); </script> Is there a "cleaner" way of doing this? This was an old code, i have yet to find a more modern one. Thank you in advance. |
