JavaScript - Embeeding And Control Windows Media Player With Html
Hi, I'm doing embedding Windows Media Player with the HTML
but I can not run the script through a different page. The following script that I made: file : player.html Code: <html> <OBJECT id="VIDEO" width="640" height="480" style="position:relatif; left:0;top:0;" CLASSID="CLSID:6BF52A52-394A-11d3-B153-00C04F79FAA6" type="application/x-oleobject"> <PARAM NAME="URL" VALUE="file_name.mpg"> <PARAM NAME="SendPlayStateChangeEvents" VALUE="true"> <PARAM NAME="AutoStart" VALUE="true"> <PARAM name="uiMode" value="Full"> <PARAM name="fullScreen" value="false"> <PARAM name="balance" value="0"> <PARAM name="volume" value="100"> <PARAM name="stretchToFit" value="true"> <PARAM name="PlayCount" value="1"> </OBJECT> <br><br> <input type=submit name=play1 value="New File" onClick=document.getElementById('VIDEO').URL="new_file.mpg";> <input type=submit name=play2 value=Play onClick=document.getElementById('VIDEO').controls.play();> <input type=submit name=play3 value=Pause onClick=document.getElementById('VIDEO').controls.Pause();> </html> above is the script for embbeding and scripts to perform the control in Windows Media Player, the script above work well on IE not on Mozzila Firefox (why??), then I save the file with the name player.html The next script I tried to separate the Windows Media Player control into a different file, for example control.html file : control.html Code: <html> <input type=submit name=play1 value="New File" onClick=document.getElementById('VIDEO').URL="new_file.mpg";> <input type=submit name=play2 value=Play onClick=document.getElementById('VIDEO').controls.play();> <input type=submit name=play3 value=Pause onClick=document.getElementById('VIDEO').controls.Pause();> </html> but I can not control the files player.html, my question how do the control on different files (control.html to player.html )...??? for the help I thank you .... Similar TutorialsHi all, I'm currently working on a page that is presented to users which will check browser version, OS version etc. I've managed to do all of these checks with JavaScript but I'm struggling to find out how (or even IF) I can get what version of Windows Media Player the user has installed. We're looking to see if they have WMP11 or greater. The searching I've done has thrown up a couple of things (like a check to see if the version is 5.2 or 6.4 or higher by looking at mimeTypes). Basically can anyone confirm if this is actually possible and if so any pointers would be appreciated. Thanks in advance can somebody plz give all the parameters that i can use for a media player? I wanna know how to control them with javascript, such as take off the seek, or redirect them after the media player finishes, or do call function after an event happens such as clicking on the play button... i need all the reference for that, i can't on the internet, and even if i did they aren't working. Thank you guys! Hi, can anybody help - I've got an img on a web page that you click to play an mp3 - how can I get the media player to open behind the page [without reloading the page] so that you can carry on looking at the page instead of first minimizing the media player. I've tried a few scripts for pop-ups but they don't work & they prevent the roll-overs from working. Here's the piece of code: <td style="text-align:left; vertical-align:top"> <a href="getoutandgetunderthemoon_HalKemp.mp3"> <SPAN onMouseOver=document.pic1.src="musicbutton3.jpg" onMouseOut=document.pic1.src="musicbutton3.jpg" onLoad=document.pic1.src="whiteblock.jpg"> <img src="whiteblock.jpg" border="o" alt="GET OUT AND GET UNDER THE MOON" style="width:80px; height:80px; border-style:none" name="pic1"></span></a></td> Hello, I hope this is in the right section. I am relatively new to coding and was hoping someone could point me in the right direction because at the time, I don't even know what to start researching in order to figure out how to do this. If you go to www.livingelectro.com, you will see they use the longtail media player(http://www.longtailvideo.com/players/jw-flv-player/) and pull the song to preview from a Zippyshare page. This is the code they use... (notice they do not pull a .mp3 file like I was doing from this code) Quote: <embed height="20" border="0" width="207" style="margin-bottom: 6px;" wmode="transparent" pluginspage="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" name="mp3player" quality="high" menu="false" src="http://www.livingelectro.com/mediaplayer.swf?backcolor=0x000000&frontcolor=0xFFFFFF&lightcolor=0xFFFFFF&file=http://www19.zippyshare.com/downloadMusic%3Fkey%3D815431413%26time%3D1249478236&type=flv" allowscriptaccess="never"/> If you look at MY website, (http://www.edmaddicts.net/index.php?...ews&Itemid=107) you will be able to scroll down and see the song preview bars. Originally, I was inserting the Zippyshare file ending in .mp3 and pulling the song up with either of these codes... Quote: <script src="swfobject.js"></script> <div id="player">This text will be replaced</div> <script type="text/javascript"> var so = new SWFObject('player-licensed.swf','mpl','470','20','9'); so.addParam('allowscriptaccess','always'); so.addParam('allowfullscreen','true'); so.addParam('flashvars','&file=(Zippysharefile.mp3)&backcolor=FFFFFF&lightcolor=660066&screencolor=6 60066&dock=false'); so.write('player'); </script> and also a flash embed code like... Quote: <embed src="player-licensed.swf"width="470"height="20"bgcolor="undefined"allowscriptaccess="always"allowfullscreen="tru e"flashvars="file=(zippysharefile.mp3)&backcolor=FFFFFF&frontcolor=000000&lightcolor=660066&screenco lor=660066&dock=false"/> The Zippyshare file .mp3 is a link stored and pulled up with {FIELDVALUE} in the database. How are they pulling the .mp3 file from Zippyshare so it works everytime? When I insert the .mp3 extension, it only works on my computer and until I reset my cookies. I can NOT host the files on my own website. I am looking forward to learning something. Will Hi all, I need Media player to stream and play video in javascript...any help or working link will work. My requirement is I have .wmv files but when i embed them in html pages first it gets downloaded and then it gets played. I need them playing while they are getting downloaded. please help, i have tried lots of codes but got no success Hello. My difficulty is in adding Flash control buttons (play, stop, rewind, et cetera) to a window for playing movies. My initial code to create a window for the Shockwave/Flash player worked just fine: Code: <html> <head> <title>Movie Player Example</title> <script type="text/javascript"><!-- function playMovie(file){ var moviePlayer=window.open('assets/'&&file&&'', '', 'height=480,width=640,resizable=0,status=0,locationbar=0,menubar=0,top=200,left=350'); moviePlayer.document.write('<html><head><title>Movie Player</title>'); moviePlayer.document.write('<link rel="stylesheet" href="style.css">'); moviePlayer.document.write('</head><body"><center>'); moviePlayer.document.write('<object width="640" height="480">'); moviePlayer.document.write('<param name="movie" value="assets/'+file+'"></param>'); moviePlayer.document.write('<param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param>'); moviePlayer.document.write('<embed src="assets/'+file+'" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="640" height="480">'); moviePlayer.document.write('</embed></object>'); moviePlayer.document.write('</center></body></html>'); moviePlayer.document.close(); } //--></script> </head> <body> <p><a href="javascript:playMovie('mymovie.swf');">Create movie player window.</a></p> </body> </html> However, I then tried to add some of the material found on this webpage: http://www.permadi.com/tutorial/flashjscommand/ The resulting code: Code: <html> <head> <title>Movie Player Example</title> <script type="text/javascript"><!-- function playMovie(file){ var moviePlayer=window.open('assets/'&&file&&'', '', 'height=510,width=640,resizable=1,status=0,locationbar=0,menubar=0,top=200,left=350'); moviePlayer.document.write('<html><head><title>Movie Player</title>'); moviePlayer.document.write('<link rel="stylesheet" href="style.css">'); moviePlayer.document.write('<script type="text/javascript">'); moviePlayer.document.close(); } //--></script> </head> <body> <p><a href="javascript:playMovie('mymovie.swf');">Create movie player window.</a></p> </body> </html> Where the problem is: Code: moviePlayer.document.write('<script type="text/javascript">'); moviePlayer.document.write('function getFlashMovieObject("assets/'&&file&&'"){var file=;if(window.document[file]){return window.document[file];}'); moviePlayer.document.write('if(navigator.appName.indexOf("Microsoft Internet")==-1){if(document.embeds && document.embeds[file])return document.embeds[file];}'); moviePlayer.document.write('else{return document.getElementById(file);}}'); moviePlayer.document.write('function movieControlPlay(){var flashMovie=getFlashMovieObject("assets/'+file+'"); flashMovie.Play();}'); moviePlayer.document.write('function movieControlStop(){var flashMovie=getFlashMovieObject("'&&file&&'"); flashMovie.StopPlay();}'); moviePlayer.document.write('function movieControlRewind(){var flashMovie=getFlashMovieObject("assets/'&&file&&'"); flashMovie.Rewind();}'); moviePlayer.document.write('</script>'); And: Code: <p><a href="javascript:playMovie('mymovie.swf');">Create movie player window.</a></p> So it's just the sections dealing with the buttons and handling the buttons in the generated page header. If possible can anyone post the javascript and its attribute for that. Thanks, Ananth Hey all, I have a script that limit characters and lines entered by users in a textarea.. i want instead of throwing that alert message to jump to the next line and the user can continue writing, here is the script: Code: <script type="text/javascript"> var alert_title='Input Restriction'; function limitTextarea(el,maxLines, maxChar){ if(!el.x) { el.x=uniqueInt(); el.onblur=function(){clearInterval(window['int'+el.x])} } window['int'+el.x]=setInterval(function(){ var lines=el.value.replace(/\r/g,'').split('\n'), i=lines.length, lines_removed, char_removed; if(maxLines&&i>maxLines){ alert('You can not enter\nmore than '+maxLines+' lines'); lines=lines.slice(0,maxLines); lines_removed=1 } if(maxChar){ i=lines.length; while(i-->0)if(lines[i].length>maxChar){ lines[i]=lines[i].slice(0,maxChar); char_removed=1 } if(char_removed) alert('You can not enter more\nthan '+maxChar+' characters per line') } if(char_removed||lines_removed) el.value=lines.join('\n') },50); } function uniqueInt(){ var num,maxNum=100000; if(!uniqueInt.a||maxNum<=uniqueInt.a.length)uniqueInt.a=[]; do num=Math.ceil(Math.random()*maxNum); while(uniqueInt.a.hasMember(num)) uniqueInt.a[uniqueInt.a.length]=num; return num } Array.prototype.hasMember=function(testItem){ var i=this.length; while(i-->0)if(testItem==this[i])return 1; return 0 }; </script> The HTML Code: <textarea onFocus="limitTextarea(this,5,40)" wrap="soft"></textarea> please help! I am trying to set up a form for paypal where the amount (cost) of the product is based on the currency chosen. I am trying to set this up using javascript which would submit the form and change the amount in the form. However, as a beginner, I am having some issues. This is what I have currently: Code: <html> <head> <script type="text/javascript"> function CalculateOrder(theform) { var currency = theform.currency_code.value; if (currency == "GBP") { theform.amount.value = "1.29" } else if (currency == "USD") { theform.amount.value = "1.99" } else if (currency == "EUR") { theform.amount.value = "1.39" } document.payform.submit(); } </script> </head> <body> <form target="paypal" action="https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr " method="post" name="payform"> <input type="hidden" name="on0" value="Currency"> <select name="currency_code"> <option value="GBP" selected >GBP</option> <option value="USD">USD</option> <option value="EUR">EUR</option> </select> </p> <input type="image" src="https://www.paypal.com/en_US/i/btn/btn_buynowCC_LG.gif " onClick="CalculateOrder(this.form)" alt="Make payments with PayPal - it's fast, free and secure!"> <input type="hidden" name="add" value="1"> <input type="hidden" name="cmd" value="_xclick"> <input type="hidden" name="business" value="myemail@gmail.com"> <input type="hidden" name="item_name" value="My Prouct"> <input type="hidden" name="amount" value="0.00"> <input type="hidden" name="shipping" value="0"> <input type="hidden" name="no_shipping" value="1"> </form> </fieldset> </body> </html> The javascript is executed but clicking the image submits the form before the javascript runs and I am worried that the javascript may not run before the form is submitted so the amount would not be calculated - please help! I do not want to calculate the costs based on the exchange rate. I would really prefer (and also find it simpler) to just specify the cost in each currency. Thanks in advance! Sup gents. Excuse my tenaciously novice questions, but dont disparage just yet, im beginning to grasp how the mechanism behind the code words, in due part to your helpful suggestions Im in the last stages of the code. In this section i have added three methods, whose function is to direct access control over the ciphers i will be adding shortly. I firstly need for the methods to be working. What they do is, categorize the set of values inside the first array and give a set of names privileges. The three methods that deal with the access control are link(), secondgroup() and third group. Ive assigned that the first three names( link() ) can access all the ciphers, ie administrators, the next three names ( secondgroup() ) can only access the shift, permutation and vigenere ciphers and the rest ( thirdgroup() ) can access the other remaining ciphers. But ive added so much code at once that i overwhelmed myself and i now i cant figure out where ive gone wrong, be it in the syntax or the logic Code: <html> <head> <script type ="text/JavaScript"> var counter = 0; var counter2 = 0; var arraynumb = 0; var arraynumb2 = 0; var global; var array = ['Mohamad', 'Karim', 'Anthony', 'Rami', 'Natalia', 'Sarah', 'Samer', 'Violette', 'Plume', 'Sharshabil']; var array2 = ["1000", "1001", "1002", "1003", "1004", "1005", "1006", "1007", "1008", "1009"]; function pass(){ var searchKey = document.searchform.inputVal.value; for (var i = 0, len = array.length; i < len; i++){ if (array[i] == searchKey){ counter = 1; arraynumb = i; } } } function pass1(){ var searchKey2 = document.searchform.inputVal2.value; for (var i = 0, len = array2.length; i < len; i++){ if (array2[i] == searchKey2){ counter2 = 1; arraynumb2 = i; } } } function access() { if (counter == 1 && counter2 == 1 && arraynumb == arraynumb2) { window.alert("You may access the website"); global = 1; } else{ window.alert("You may not access the website"); global = 0; } } function link() { var searchKey3 = document.searchform.inputVal.value; if (global == 1 && (searchkey3 == array[0] || searchkey3 == array[1] || searchkey3 == array[2] )) { window.alert("You are an administrator, you may use all the ciphers"); } else window.alert("you are not signed in, please do so"); } function secondgroup() { var searchKey4 = document.searchform.inputVal.value; if (global == 1 && (searchkey4 == array[3] || searchkey4 == array[4] || searchkey4 == array[5] )) { window.alert("You are an ordinary user of class A, you may proceed to access the Shift, Vigenere and Permutation ciphers"); } else window.alert("You may not access this cipher"); } fucntion thirdgroup() { var searchKey5 = document.searchform.inputVal.value; if (global == 1 && (searchkey5 == array[6] || searchkey5 == array[7] || searchkey5 == array[8] || searchkey5 == array[9] )) { window.alert("You are an ordinary user of class B, you may proceed to access the Hill, Affine, Substitution and DES ciphers"); } else window.alert("You may not access this cipher"); } </script> </head> <body> <form name = "searchform" action = ""> <p>Enter username<br/> <input name = "inputVal" type = "text" size = "30"/> <input name = "search2" type = "button" value = "Search" onclick = "pass()"/> </p> <p>Enter password<br/> <input name = "inputVal2" type = "password" size = "30"/> <input name = "search" type = "button" value = "Search" onclick = "pass1()"/> <input name = "Access site" type = "button" value = "Access" onclick = "access()"/> <br/> <br/> <input name = "link to" type = "button" value = "Shift" onclick = "link();return secondgroup();" enabled=""/> <input name = "link to" type = "button" value = "Vigenere" onclick = "link();return secondgroup();" enabled=""/> <input name = "link to" type = "button" value = "Permutation" onclick = "link();return secondgroup();" enabled=""/> <input name = "link to" type = "button" value = "Hill" onclick = "link();return thirdgroup();" enabled=""/> <input name = "link to" type = "button" value = "Affine" onclick = "link();return thirdgroup();" enabled=""/> <input name = "link to" type = "button" value = "Substitution" onclick = "link();return thirdgroup();" enabled=""/> <input name = "link to" type = "button" value = "Des" onclick = "link();return thirdgroup();" enabled=""/> <br/> </p> <br/> <p></p> </form> </body> </html> I hope someone can help me...I need to tweak this code so that background music will play randomly for an unlimited time. Right now, it plays a random song and then repeats it over and over. I just need to have it randomly change songs and keep playing! Here is the code I am using... Code: <script type="text/javascript"> var musicSource = [ "http://www.bigmacktrucks.com/music/1.mp3", "http://www.bigmacktrucks.com/music/2.mp3", "http://www.bigmacktrucks.com/music/3.mp3", "http://www.bigmacktrucks.com/music/4.mp3", "http://www.bigmacktrucks.com/music/5.mp3", "http://www.bigmacktrucks.com/music/6.mp3", "http://www.bigmacktrucks.com/music/7.mp3", "http://www.bigmacktrucks.com/music/8.mp3" ]; var rand = Math.floor(Math.random()*musicSource.length); document.write('<embed src="'+musicSource[rand]+'" autoplay="true" hidden="true" loop="true" />'); // --> </script> I think this is simple but I am a total noob at javascript! Thanks in advance! I am trying to make it so that when the page loads, it will random play a song from a list of songs. Also, when the first song finishes, another random song should play. I have this code: Code: <script type="text/javascript"> var numberOfSongs = 5 var sound = new Array(numberOfSongs+1) sound[0]= "music/Rock/1.mp3" sound[1]= "music/Rock/2.mp3" sound[2]= "music/Rock/3.mp3" sound[3]= "music/Rock/4.mp3" sound[4]= "music/Rock/5.mp3" sound[5]= "music/Rock/6.mp3" function randomNumber() { var randomLooper = -1 while (randomLooper < 0 || randomLooper > numberOfSongs || isNaN(randomLooper)){ randomLooper = parseInt(Math.random()*(numberOfSongs+1)) } return randomLooper } var soundFile = sound[randomNumber ()] document.writeln ('<BGSOUND SRC="' + soundFile + '" loop=5>'); document.writeln ('<EMBED SRC= "' + soundFile + '" loop=5 PLAYCOUNT=3 hidden=true autostart=true><P>'); </script> How would it be possible to play another random song after the song finishes? I have been searching for an answer to this pretty much all day... I'm fed up. Can someone help? I want to be able to open wmv videos in an embedded windows movie player using javascript. Code: if (oSession.HostnameIs("www.youtube.com") && oSession.oResponse.headers.ExistsAndContains("Content-Type","text/html")) // oSession is a Fiddler object session { oSession.utilDecodeResponse(); // Remove any compression or chunking oSession.utilReplaceInResponse('<b>','<u>'); // Search and replace in HTML } How do I replace youtube video player with this message? Code: <div id="player-unavailable" class=" player-width player-height player-unavailable "> <div class="icon meh"></div> <div class="content"> <h1 id="unavailable-message" class="message"> This video is no longer available because of inappropriate content. </h1> <div id="unavailable-submessage" class="submessage"> Sorry about that. </div> </div> </div> Thank you |
