JavaScript - How To Detect Weather Javascript Is On Or Clicking A Images B4 Enter The Real Pages !
Ok Need Help Here.
As I post earlier how to detect firefox before let the user in some guys just disable javascript and went in I finding solution i think of it but i dun know the code not sure is it working Script that allow the browser to check weather javascript is ON if not cannot grant access to the page . Another thing is by using a image means when i enter the site it will show a image i will need to click it before it enter the content of the pages i think that a javascript code i seen it somewhere else about months ago. Similar TutorialsHi All, I am a web/graphic designer and have a client that would like the main background image to change with a single click to the main logo in header that links to home page. See link for sample: http://www.saintcupcake.com/ They are static pages. Thanks. MoShapes2010 in the function emailTest in this code I can't seem to get the FIRST if statement to pass even if I put 1 in the in the email.value text box. even if i change the if condition to (email.value=="1") or (email.value=="a") and make the email.value text field equal respectively, IT STILL WON'T PASS only if I do (1==1) will it work. ----some background---- I was making a javascript form checker and i needed to test if the email field was an email. First I tried using an isEmail function. Didn't work. But the funciton seemed legitimate. I tinkered for hours trying to find glitches (it's simple regular expressions... i mean how hard could I screw it up?) and then eventually made the function return true by default so that the function would do nothing more but return true. Even when the function JUST returned true. (i also tried just returning 1) it still didn't pass. Then I took the function out of the if statement all together and tried the regular expression test in the if function. that didn't work. Now I'm trying to compare the variable directly to something simple. AND IT STILL DOESN'T WORK. WHAT is going on here people? REALLY ... I mean REALLLY/!?!? I've been programming for 7 GD years of my GD life (not javascript honestly) and SIMPLE CODE SHOULDN'T FAIL THIS HARD. Code: function emailTest() { if (email.value==1) { emailErrorBox.innerHTML="Please insert a valid email"; emailSuccessBox.innerHTML=""; } if (email.value.length>0 && email.focus) { emailErrorBox.innerHTML="";emailSuccessBox.innerHTML=""; request.abort(); var url = "/unseen/checkIfEmailExist.php?email=" + email.value; request.open("GET", url, true); request.onreadystatechange = updateEmailCheck; request.send(null); } if (email.value.length===0) {emailErrorBox.innerHTML="Please insert an email";emailSuccessBox.innerHTML="";} } If you go to http://freetexthost.com/dgbgshkzkj that is my code. It's a lot. I can't just give you a portion because I think it's something on the large scope that is screwing me up. This entire thing has me furious because IT IS SIMPLE CODE THAT REFUSES TO WORK... LITERAL REFUSAL THE COMPUTER JUST SAID NO NO NO NO. I am SERIOUSLY trying to get rolling on this project but some hidden syntax of javascript is blocking me from having these functions work correctly I have been searching for a way to accomplish a unique task for a while. Here's the situation: We have several users who are in locations where YouTube is blocked for various reasons. On our homepage we would like to embed a YouTube video except for when YouTube is blocked and then embed an alternative video that is hosted off one of our servers. Is there a way to use JavaScript to detect whether or not YouTube is available and then put in the correct video? Thanks in advance! My problem is the following. I have an editable <div>: <div class='edit' id='divContent' name='divContent' ContentEditable>some text</div> If I press 'enter' two lines are skipped. I know that if I press 'shift+enter' only one line will be skipped. If I check the unformatted code of the contenteditable div, 'enter' gives me <p> and 'shift+enter' gives me <br>, which makes sense because <p> is formatted differently than <br>. So I want to change 'enter' into 'shift+enter' I have already found something to capture and kill 'return' function killReturn() { key = event.keyCode; if (key == 13) return false; } But now for some means to replace the killed 'enter' with 'shift+enter'? Thanks a lot in advance for any advise! HI, I have a website with a Login page (no username only password required), but at the moment it only works when you click Login after entering the password. How could i make it so that pressing Enter will do the same???? here is the full index.html file Code: <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd"> <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"> <head> <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8" /> <title>Please login</title> <link rel="stylesheet" href="css/login.css" type="text/css" media="all" /> <!--[if IE 7]><link rel="stylesheet" href="css/style.ie7.css" type="text/css" media="screen" /><![endif]--> </head> <body> <div id="Main"> <div class="corner TL"></div> <div class="corner TR"></div> <div class="corner BL"></div> <div class="corner BR"></div> <div class="logo"></div> <div class="loginForm"> <form name="login-form"> <script language="javascript"> <!-- /*Change the usename, password and the page to redirect the user to to suit your own site*/ function login(form) { if (form.password.value=="england2000") { location="/en" } else { alert("Sorry Invalid Password") } } //--> </script> <label>PASSWORD</label> <input class="field" name="password" type="password" /> <input type="button" value="Login" class="loginB" onClick="login(this.form)"> </form> </div> <div style=" clear:both;"></div></div> </body> </html> For school I'm supposed to write a JS code which visits a website, and then clicks on a button on that website. I used the document.location method to visit the web page, but then if I use the document.forms[0].elements[0].click() function to click a button, nothing happens. The click() function has always worked for me when the JS code is embedded in the web page, but its not in this case because the code has to click a button on an external website. So how can I do this? I just need me Javscript program to visit a site, and then click a button on that site. Please help, thanks.
I have set javasscript code to detect and store into variable screen resolution. How to store this javascript into variable PHP? PHP Code: <script type="text/javascript"> var ScreenWidth=screen.width; var ScreenHeight=screen.height; var ScreenResolution=ScreenWidth+"x"+ScreenHeight; document.write("<span style=\"color:red;text-transform: capitalize;\">your current screen resolution is " + ScreenResolution + "</span>"); --></script> } </script> <?PHP $screen=str_replace("#","",$resolution); echo "screen width is:".$screen; ?> Internet Explorer requires the user to click on an applet to activate it, which means two clicks if there is a start button, for example. I previously learned a workaround, which is to activate the applet from an external Javascript, something like this: Code: document.write('<applet code="' + appletname + '" width="' + w + '" height="' + h + '"></applet>'); This doesn't work in IE8. Is there a workaround for IE8? Thanks. I tried to word the question as best as possible, but here is what I want to do. I am creating a calculator online and it is getting more and more extensive, which is good b/c I'm learning a lot. Here is what I'm trying accomplish now. I am using "input" to get information from the user in the top section of my calculator and that will always stay the same. The part that will change is the results section (bottom part of the calc) based on a few different variations or setups, so I want to be able have them click on a few different options. Option 1 Option 2 Option 3 Depending on which one they click I want the javascript that is run for the results section to correspond to the option chosen. I also, want to be able to have a default option displayed the first time the page is loaded and then have it change if a different option is chosen. I don't think reloading the page is necessary, but I'm new to this and could use a little direction. I hope what I'd like to do makes a little sense. I'm not asking for any code written that will do this, but naturally something hints or tips that could get me going. I don't know how to "monitor" a link and return a value to a variable, so that it can be put into a an if statement in the results section. After that, it would be continually monitored or somehow restarted if the variable does change. Again, I don't know if this is the best way to go at it, but I'm not sure at all. Any help would be awesome. I have looked at "onclick", but I'm not completely sure how I can tie it all together of if I should use another method. Thanks for any suggestions/ideas/help. Hi, Does anyone know if there is a event or something that fires when Javascript finishes executing. When I load a page, the body's onLoad event fires when it has finished loading but there might be some Javascript that is still running (or javascript that is triggered from the onLoad event itself). And this javascript could add to the page's DOM. So is there any way to detect when the page has REALLY finished loading (ignoring the possibility of setTimeout() etc). I need to know this as I am constructing a webpage-scraper and therefore I need to know when the pages have completely loaded. Thanks, Hello guys, You were all very kind to help me a few months ago when I was trying to create the code which is posted below. it is a table of banner ads that will rotate on my website and the appropriate link follows the appropraite ad when they rotate. everything is working fine except that when you click on one of the ads ( which is a link), the link works but the page displays an error at the bottom as soon as any link is clicked. Since this type of hyperlink is associated with the javascript, im not sure how to correct the issue. maybe it is a simple thing. can anyone take a look at this and help me figure out the issue? thanks. Hi, I'm in year 11 studying GCSE Computing and I'm working on gathering some primary research for a project. I'd be really grateful if someone with experience in web developing would be able to explain to me some of the uses of JavaScript within web pages- what have you used it for specifically? Also, any examples of how JavaScript is used outside of web pages would be really helpful. Thank you! My favorite weather bug has an issue only with IE. I have tested it in Firefox, Chrome, Safari, and Opera, and it displays perfectly fine in those. The problem: there's a small "Go" word that should appear in line with "enter your city/zip." In IE it flips down to a separate line and looks terrible. Note: this script displays incorrectly when viewed in IE on the provider's site as well. Does anyone have any ideas? Should I try a different bug? Code: <script type="text/javascript" src="http://weatherreports.com/jscript.html?width=234&height=60&theme=white&location=Fairfax%2C%20Minnesota%2055332&units=f"> </script> --Kevin . Hi, I want to redirect pages e,g 'http://mydomain.com/pagename.html' to 'http://www.mydomain.com/pagename.html",i.e if anyone access without www then it will be added automatically, how can i do this using javascript? plz help Thanks I'm trying to allow the user to change the stylesheet of my website. I can change the stylesheet on a page by page basis (eg. from red style to blue style) but once the user navigates to a different page the stylesheet resets back to the original setting. For example, when the user visits the site first its set to the red style, they can change it to blue but when they navigate to another page the style goes back to red again where as I want the style to stick across pages. Does anybody know how I can sort this out? I assume I'll have to edit my javascript but Im not very good at javascript so any help would be great! HTML Code: <html> <head> <link href="red.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" title="red" media="screen" /> <link href="green.css" rel="alternate stylesheet" type="text/css" title="green" media="screen" /> <link href="blue.css" rel="alternate stylesheet" type="text/css" title="blue" media="screen" /> <script type="text/javascript"> function changeStyle(title) { var lnks = document.getElementsByTagName('link'); for (var i = lnks.length - 1; i >= 0; i--) { if (lnks[i].getAttribute('rel').indexOf('style')> -1 && lnks[i].getAttribute('title')) { lnks[i].disabled = true; if (lnks[i].getAttribute('title') == title) lnks[i].disabled = false; }}} </script> </head> <body> <a href = "home1.html">Page 1</a> <br> <br> <a href = "home2.html">Page 2</a> <br> <br> <a href = "home3.html">Page 3</a> <br> <br> <br> <br> <a href = "#" onclick="changeStyle('red')">Red Stylesheet</a> <br> <br> <a href = "#" onclick="changeStyle('blue')">Blue Stylesheet</a> <br> <br> <a href = "#" onclick="changeStyle('green')">Green Stylesheet</a> </body> </html> CSS Code: body { background-color:red; } Hi, Im using a authoring tool to develop an elearning test course. The course is composed of several HTML pages with Buttons for the multiple choice test. The setup of the course is that it will only ask 10 questions out of a pool of 30 questions. When the HTML & JS files are online, the test takes 20-40seconds to load. I believe it is related to the code that selects the 10 questions from the 30. I've singled out the code that does the select random pages... Is there any way to optimize the code? I've attached the HTML (in txt format) page where the javascript can be found. Looking forward to your replies! |
