JavaScript - How To Call The Same Window Via Javascript All The Time?

Can someone help me please? here is the script i'm working on:

The script currently asks for the amount of tabs to open then opens them when the amount is selected.
What i need to do is slow down the time between each open window to like 1000 millisecs i have tried using thread.sleep but then it only opens 1 tab.

I just fill in a DIV with the contents of a php page

in that code I write out a next previous buton

thats supposed to call the javascript above when clicked but it doesnt seem to work ...when the page is rendered into the DIV at client sould it be able to run the javascript above?

How do I do a blocking call in javascript?

In the code below the alert at the last line of this code snippet hits before the code in if block completes which returns some value, by calling chached.get method in different js file.

In C# I would attach the service reference http://www.anotherdomain.com/Service1.svc?wsdl

then write

myService MS = new myservice();
string[] s = MS.GetDates(); //return an array of string dates


BUT can this be done with only Javascript/Jquery , where the service is on a different domain?

Can you please tell me how or point me in the right direction

Hi everybody!

I've a problem and I'm not able to solve it alone.

I want to invoke java methods of a self written java programm with javascript. I found something like a tutorial (http://stanislavvitvitskiy.blogspot....lications.html), but it has not worked.

I put my class file in a jar file and when I want to load it in javascript i get an error.
I tried it this way:

Honestly, its probably my fail. Regardless, here is the deal, any help would be appreciated.


I am currently skinning up a custom cpanel theme for a company I work with from time to time, kudolabs.net. They would like their Jixed Bar that is on their main web page to be on the skin, and I am attempting to put it there now. I have put the code into the html of the skin, both the call to the proper javascript files and css files, and the proper code for the bar itself. It is not working, the bar shows up as it is supposed to, but it is not aligned correctly and the bar does not float with the page. It acts exactly like the javascript is not working at all.... Unfortunately I can't just provide access to the cpanel for people to check, but you can see the source code of the main page, kudolabs.net, and if you're willing to help, I can of course give you access to a demo account (and quite possibily provide some hosting for a month or two, we're based in the netherlands and have plenty of space to share to anyone willing to help us with little problems such as this. @_@ )

I am coding an actionscript app and need to call javascript function in page
that embeds the swf file. I am doing this as Action Script 2.0 and am testing
in Firefox 1.5 x (flash pluggin version 7) I am getting the following error message:

I am working on an actionscript 3.0 version that uses externalInterface
in Action Script, so I don't need advice to upgrade. I am trying to
target older browsers as well as newer ones.

I have a requirement that from a different domain I will be calling my domain javascript adn calling the fucntion of it directly. I dont want to ask the partner site first download the js and then call the function of it. rather I have seen someplaces they just call the js on links and functions are called directly.

in my partner site html I should have something like

<a href="http://www.mydomain.com/inc/js/abc.js" >call js </a>

and my js will have:

so I was expecting that I will see an alert with "hi" but this is not happening.

I have two password fields on a webpage form. If the passwords don't match, I want to display a message. I could use a popup, I could redirect to a page containing the message with another redirect back to the form or, the option I'd like to use, have a hidden table cell in the form containing the message that displays should the form be submitted without matching passwords. If I use the latter, where do I call the javascript function to display the hidden table cell? So in effect, only javascript function would execute if the passwords don't match, the action page itself shouldn't load at all. Can/should this be done on the action page?
