Here i don understant why but id="test" doesn't seem to be passed through getElementById(id)....do i need to use some escape character or something? wish i get someone to have a solution.. Similar TutorialsI've been staring at this same problem for over a week now. I've worked around it as best as i can but i think it's time to ask someone else for input. I'm trying to pass a value thru an ajax parameter.. that's all. it SHOULD be easy in theory. what i want to do is create a jscript variable then pass that variable as the value for a parameter. php then converts that value to something it can use to finish the rest of my code. As i said it's hindering my webpage progress and i would like to get it fixxed soon so any help would be appreciated. Code:

How can I still use the parameter "openAccordionID" in the blue-highlighted part? I tried, but it failed. Hello, i'm working on a 3 page survey. When hitting next, previous, or submit it passes the values of all the questions to the next page. I've got the whole thing working correcting except for one thing: When the box is "not" checked it passes no value. I'm needing it to have a value of "1" when checked and a value of "0" when not checked, and currently when its not checked and i pass the info it leaves it blank. The first case that i showed in my code is a radio button, and it passes correctly, i just wanted to show the "format" i was using in a working sense. The 2nd case is an example of the check boxes. I have two fields, a drop down list and a text field, when someone clicks on a value in a drop down list (I will show the results eventually but at the moment) I just want the result to echo in my getCategory.php and the same for the text field. Dear all, I'm passing the variables myTitle and myLink to form.php using javascript. When this happens it's not passed. In the case of the title, it's just a problem of looks but in the case of the link, well, the link won't work without the character. In some languages, like VB6, I notice the "byVal" and the "byRef" is specifically used. In javascript, I don't notice those specifics typed in functions. Is the "default" by value when using in a function to change a parameter? If it is, what is the syntax for using by reference, or is that ever used? In the code of my gallery software I have this line: <h2 id="item-title">{$theme.item.title|markup|default:" "}</h2> This displays the title of the image. I dont actually want to display the title of the image. However, when I delete this line, the gallery no longer works (in the view photo page, the javascript image loader just says loading). Is there a way to keep this required parameter in, so that my gallery works, but stop it from being displayed on the page?
