JavaScript - Auto Submit After Time Out
i need a function that count down until zero. how could i make it auto submit which is very important for me and accepts the choices which are as radio buttons instead of waiting for users to push submit button.
Similar TutorialsOk - I'm using an 'off the peg' shopping cart (Mal's e-commerce) that posts items to the cart using a standard form with a submit button. What I want to do is send an item to the cart 'automatically', that is without the user actually filling a form or pressing a 'submit' button. What I send to the cart will be dependant upon the value of a cookie that will have been set at some earlier point in the session. My plan was to use document.write statements to build the 'form' and send it to the shopping cart... Here is the kind of form i will be creating: <form method="post" /> <input type="hidden" name="product" value="XXXXXXXX" /> <input type="hidden" name="price" value="0.00" /> <input type="hidden" name="qty" value="1" /> <input type="submit" value="add to basket" /> </form> 1) 1st problem the product value "XXXXXXXX" actually needs to be 'constructed' out of text plus the value held in the cookie eg... 'here is your COOKIEVALUE product' what i was going to try here was "here is your" + COOKIEVALUE + "product" which doesn't work - but that's what I'm trying to achieve. 2) 2nd problem is the submit 'button' needs to be an automatic 'invisible' action - i don't actually want to give them a button to click i just want to submit it from the coding. Hope that makes some kind of sense! Hi i have a form inside a frame, for example: <html> PHP Code: <body> <div><h1>Header</h1><hr /></div> <iframe height="75%" width="75%" src="iframe.php" frameborder="0"> Iframe should be enabled. </iframe> <div><hr /><h1>Footer</h1></div> </body></html> in iframe.php PHP Code: <form action="http://some-url" id="my_form" name="my_form" method="POST"> <!-- hidden fields goes here ---> <input id="<?php echo $key; ?>" name="<?php echo $key; ?>" value="<?php echo $value; ?>" type="hidden"/> <!-- //hidden fields goes here ---> </form> <script type="text/javascript">document.getElementById("my_form").submit();</script> I would like to know how to submit the iframe.php form so that it goes out of frame. I think we need to tweak this code: PHP Code: <script type="text/javascript">document.getElementById("my_form").submit();</script> Thanks in advance. I am trying to write a javascript page where the primary form of user input is an HTML form (shown below) Code: <form id=UI> State: <input type="text" name="state" > Postal abriviation: <input type="text" name="ab"> Capital: <input type="text" name="cap"> <input type="button" name="answer" value="Answer" onClick="check()"> <br> <input type="button" name="show_name" value="Show State" onClick="hint=1;select_state();"> <br> <input type="button" name="show_ab" value="Show Abriviation" onClick="hint=2;select_state();"> <br> <input type="button" name="show_cap" value="Show Capitol" onClick="hint=3;select_state();"> </form> the button named 'answer' does what i want, but when the user pushes enter, if he is in one of the form fields it automatically sends him to the url with all of the form date (www.url.com?state=maryland&ab=md&cap=annapolis) i modified my body tag to run the 'check()' function when enter is pushed, which it does but immideatly sends me to the following url Code: <body onload="first_run()" onkeydown="if (event.keyCode == 13){check()}"> is their any way to disable to the submit built into the form tag either through HTML or javascript? My html form code is <html> <head> <script type="text/javascript" src="2.js"></script> </head> <body> <h1 id="remain"></h1> <form action="3.php" method="post" id="form1" name="form1"> <input type="text" name="id"> <input type="submit" name="submit" value="submit"> </form> </body> </html> I need to submit the form after coundown. Here is my countdown script file window.onload=counter; function counter() { var seconds = 5; countDown(); function countDown() { document.getElementById("remain").innerHTML=seconds; if(seconds>0) { seconds=seconds - 1; setTimeout(countDown,1000); } if(seconds == 0) { document.form1.submit(); } } } Countdown is working but form does not submit after countdown. Please help me regarding this. Thanks in advance I've a web page when a user logs in, it will have a link that shows the "username" and a link for "logout". After the user logs out, the "username" and the "logout" links will change to "login" and "register" links, respectively. The page uses javascript to check a user cookie, if the user cookie exists, it will show the "username" link and the link for "logout". If no user cookie exists, "login" and "register" links will replace the "username" and "logout" links. Here's the problem: When a user who has log in, clicks the "logout" link, a perl script will delete the user cookie, and redirects back to the same page. The page does not show "login" and "register" links AUTOMATICALLY. Both links will appear ONLY after the user MANUALLY Refreshes the page. It appears that I need a system to refresh the page automacally ONLY one time. How can this be done? Hello, I don't know if this can be done in Javascript, or requires any other language but i was wondering if this would be possible. I would like to embed this Javascript code in to a PHP file and then for it to run automatically upon the PHP file loading: Code: <td class="smallDesc"> <a name="fb_share" type="button_count" href="http://www.facebook.com/sharer.php">Share</a><script src="http://static.ak.fbcdn.net/connect.php/js/FB.Share" type="text/javascript"></script> </td> The Javascirpt is the Facebook Share button that basically allows users that have Facebook to share the page there currently on in their Facebook status by pressing the button, but if there not logged in it shows the login page, not a problem just continue the script. The current button i which is what i want to load automatically in the PHP file is located here, to test the functionalilty just click "Share" button in blue.. http://watch-movies-online.anyfilman...-Movie-17.html To summarise, i would like the above Javascript code to execute automatically upon pageload of this PHP file.. http://www.watch-movies-online.anyfi...p://google.com. If that could be done, and if this also is possible.. i would like for the "Share" button on the external page that is loaded from the Javascript code above to be clicked automatically so in effect when ever someone visits the PHP page after clicking "Click Here to Watch/Stream 2012 Online For Free" on this page it will automatically load the Facebook Share box, and automatically click the "Share" Button and then close the page if possible, but not required. Please feel free to ask any questions, i'll be happy to answer. Thanks in advance. Best Regards, Jonathan. Hi, I have a form that when you click submit gives a warning box asking if to continue code below Now when I type in the text field and press enter it doesn't submit nor does it pop up the warning box, how would I do this Code for submit button Code: <script LANGUAGE="JavaScript"> <!-- function submitMyForm() { var agree=confirm("ARE YOU SURE ?"); if (agree) return true ; else return false ; } // --> </script> Code: <form action="admin-delete.php" method="post" name="cp_delete" id="cp_delete"> <input type="text" name="cp_delete_bg" id="cp_delete_bg"> <input type="submit" name="submit" value="submit" onclick="return submitMyForm()"/> </form> 1 down vote favorite I do have the countdown script (see link below) to display the time between current time and the date given in real-time. However, I want to achieve to display the time difference between a given start and end time. Right now, it calculates from the current server time to the end time. I want to be able to set up my own start time and end time. Here is what I have: http://jsfiddle.net/BgEtE/ thank you for help Hi all Is using the real form submit button a problem in any way? Can it actaully send a form when a person uses 'enter' in a text field. When I use this submit, it triggers my validation which is great. Code: <input type="submit" value="OnSubmit validate" /> However this way doesn't seem to trigger my validation although It may solve the above form send problem (if that realy exists). How do I get it to act the same as real submit so it will trigger validation like onsubmit above? Code: <input type="button" value="Send Feedback" onclick="this.form.submit()" /> LT does any of that make sense? all ideas helpful and appreciated I have created some online software which uses form data to submit to another page. The problem is that I have other submit buttons in the same form which submit to different pages (depending on which button is pressed). The first submit button works fine but all the others only work once. Code: <input class="cssbutton" type='submit' value='Button1' onclick="wbform.action='page1.php'; target='mainFrame'; return true;"> <input class="cssbutton" type='submit' value='Button2' onclick="wbform.action='page2.php'; target='_blank'; return true;"> <input class="cssbutton" type='submit' value='Button3' onclick="wbform.action='page3.php'; target='topFrame'; return true;"> <input class="cssbutton" type='submit' value='Button4' onclick="wbform.action='page4.php'; target='topFrame'; return true;"> <input class="cssbutton" type='submit' value='Button5' onclick="wbform.action='page5.php'; target='_blank'; return true;"> <input class="cssbutton" type='submit' value='Button6' onclick="wbform.action='page6.php'; target='_blank'; return true;"> Any ideas my friends? I've got the following 2 fields in my form: <input type="file" name="filename" id="filename" value="filename"> <input type="submit" name="submit" value="Upload Image" /> Now I want to hide both of them as soon as the submit button is pressed. Problem is that I'm a javascript noob and I can't find it with google :S Can someone help me? hi, can some one help me how to get the time and date difference? given two time and date with the following format like in textbox A: 2011-05-03 17:35:47.0 and textbox B: 2011-05-03 16:35:47.0 then the output would be: 0 days, 1 hour, 0 minutes, 0 seconds regards, verve I'm not really a Java writer, so I don't know how to do this myself, though I imagine it would be pretty simple. I am looking to add a script to a webpage that allows users to input a time manually, and have it converted to GMT/Zulu time and display the converted time. I have seen a lot of time zone conversion scripts online, but they all just convert whatever the current system time is to another time zone. I am looking for a script that allows users to convert a time and show the zulu time, for times other than the current time. The time zone the inputed local time would be in is +4:30 (Kabul). I don't really care about style or aestehtics, just a simple script I can insert into a web page to have a time input field. The converted output time can appear in another field, a popup bubble, etc, again style isn't really an issue. It's really just to help people in my job who need to know what the GMT/Zulu time was for certain local times after the fact. One would think it shouldn't be that hard to just subtract 4:30 in your head, but apparently it is. Sorry if just asking for code outright like this is frowned upon. Hi all, I'm designing something to addon to an existing product. I'm struggling with some javascript problems. I want to submit a hidden field when you click on an image button, rather than it being an actual submit button. It's going to submit the value "1" to a PHP page, but I don't want it to actually have to GO to the PHP page, just submit it within the webpage. Is this possible? Thanks |
