Kindly help !! Note: its in pega application. Hey: I have several "submit" buttons on a form. I want users to be able to hit the "enter" key to submit the form. The page used to "post" the information checks for specifically what form button was pushed to submit the form before executing the appropriate code. I am automatically submitting the page when the enter key is hit, but it is defaulting to the first option of executed code in the post page. Example - I have an "update" button and a "delete" button on the form. On the post page, I first check to see if the delete button was hit. When I press enter on the form, it simply answers yes to the first question (did they click the delete button), and the code is executed. I really wanted to emulate that the update button was hit. So -- is there a way to hit the enter button, and in the js code, mandate that it was the "update" button that was clicked? Thanks. i am new to sencha touch, and i created a login form which accepts user id and password and a login button,so when i click on login button i should get the user id value as a alert.and the code is Code: Ext.setup ({ onReady: function () { var myform=new Ext.form.FormPanel({ id:'form', fullscreen:true, standardSubmit:true, dockedItems:[{ Dock:'top', xtype:'toolbar', height:40, title:'Tool Bar', id:'login', } ], items:[{ xtype:'textfield', name:'id', width:'50%', align:'center', label:'User Id' }, { xtype:'textfield', name:'pwd', id:'pwd', width:'50%', align:'center', label:'Password' }, { xtype:'button', ui:'round', width:'50%', text:'Login', align:'center', handler:function() { gettingvalues();/* var fields = form.getValues(); console.log(fields['name']); */ } } ], }); gettingvalues=function() { var fields=myform.getValues(); Ext.Msg.alert(fields['id'].getValue()); } } }); But am not getting any value in alert, what i have to do. and after that i want to send those values to our local server which requires id and password,it will be in the format of... oururl?action=login&id=xyz&pwd=xyz, in this it will accepts and returns the response,so for that what i have to write, please let me know as soon as possible. Thanks in advance. Hi. Please help. I want to implement a javascript function where a submit button will be submitted from the parent page each time I close a child page. Please let me know what I did wrong in my code and please elaborate your answer so that I could understand it better. Thank you so much for your help. I have the following jscript code but it is now working. Code: window.onunload = submitParent; function submitParent() { var doc = window.opener.document, theForm = doc.getElementById("finalForm"); theField = doc.getElementById("finalSelected"); theForm.submit(); theField.trigger('click'); } My form from the parent page is as follow. I want my jscript to just click on the submit button once. Code: <form id = "finalForm "name= "finalForm" method="POST" action=""> <input type="Submit" id = "finalSelected" name="finalSelected"/> Ok know those people who are in the bad habit of double clicking everything? Well my site breaks if they double click it... is there a script I can use that won't let my functions run more then once every so many seconds? to avoid double clicking errors? Hi all Is using the real form submit button a problem in any way? Can it actaully send a form when a person uses 'enter' in a text field. When I use this submit, it triggers my validation which is great. Code: <input type="submit" value="OnSubmit validate" /> However this way doesn't seem to trigger my validation although It may solve the above form send problem (if that realy exists). How do I get it to act the same as real submit so it will trigger validation like onsubmit above? Code: <input type="button" value="Send Feedback" onclick="this.form.submit()" /> LT does any of that make sense? all ideas helpful and appreciated I've got the following 2 fields in my form: <input type="file" name="filename" id="filename" value="filename"> <input type="submit" name="submit" value="Upload Image" /> Now I want to hide both of them as soon as the submit button is pressed. Problem is that I'm a javascript noob and I can't find it with google :S Can someone help me? I have created some online software which uses form data to submit to another page. The problem is that I have other submit buttons in the same form which submit to different pages (depending on which button is pressed). The first submit button works fine but all the others only work once. Code: <input class="cssbutton" type='submit' value='Button1' onclick="wbform.action='page1.php'; target='mainFrame'; return true;"> <input class="cssbutton" type='submit' value='Button2' onclick="wbform.action='page2.php'; target='_blank'; return true;"> <input class="cssbutton" type='submit' value='Button3' onclick="wbform.action='page3.php'; target='topFrame'; return true;"> <input class="cssbutton" type='submit' value='Button4' onclick="wbform.action='page4.php'; target='topFrame'; return true;"> <input class="cssbutton" type='submit' value='Button5' onclick="wbform.action='page5.php'; target='_blank'; return true;"> <input class="cssbutton" type='submit' value='Button6' onclick="wbform.action='page6.php'; target='_blank'; return true;"> Any ideas my friends? Hi all, I'm designing something to addon to an existing product. I'm struggling with some javascript problems. I want to submit a hidden field when you click on an image button, rather than it being an actual submit button. It's going to submit the value "1" to a PHP page, but I don't want it to actually have to GO to the PHP page, just submit it within the webpage. Is this possible? Thanks I am trying to auto submit a login form remotely using .submit() . It's submitting, but for some reason if I use submit() the login isn't processing. However, if I turn off the auto submit and use an actual submit button it logs in just fine. Now, in the form tag there is a call onsubmit for some validation, does .submit() trigger that form onsubmit="" function? Is there something that happens differently when a user clicks a button verses the .submit(). Thanks! Paul Hey guys just need a little help. I need to create a little script that clicks a link automatically and opens it up in a new page. So far I have this: Code: <head> <script> function autoClick(){ document.getElementById('linkToClick').click(); } </head> <body onload="setTimeout('autoClick();',3000);"> <a id="linkToClick" href="http://www.google.com" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">GOOGLE</a> </body> It works but the problem is that IE popup blocker keeps blocking the new window. Is there a way to do the same thing with javascript without it having blocked by IE popup blocker? need to make "left click" act as "middle click" -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I need to make "left click" act as "middle click" for a web site ....thank you in advance for any and all help... How can I make it so that it spans the whole screen of the users computer? Thanks in advance! I have a program written in Javascript (saved as an HTML file that I run from my desktop by launching it in IE) which works fine on my system. Running IE 8 in Vista on one system and XP on another. When I launch the file, I get warning in the information bar: "To help protect your security, Internet Explorer has restricted this webpage from running scripts or ActiveX cntrols that could access your computer. Click here for optons..." I actually WANT this warning. When I click through it to accept, the program works fine. But about half of the people that I share this program with are not getting this warning, and it appears that the javascript never runs. At first I thought it was something in Windows 7, because two of the users were running on that OS, and I've found a number of issues described online about having problems running scripts in IE8/Win7. But the latest user is also running Vista, like me. His security settings are set to the default, Medium-High. But he's still not getting the script/ActiveX warning in the message bar. Anyone know how we can enable that warning? Thanks! Hello. I'm coding a simple hover-opacity thing for some images on my site on the navigation bar. Although I'm receiving this message in my Firebug. uncaught exception: Syntax error, unrecognized expression: . Here's the navigation code: Code: <div class="navigation"> <a href="home"><img class="home" src="images/navigation/home.gif" /></a> - <a href="home" class="home">Home</a> <a href="news"><img class="news" src="images/navigation/news.gif" /></a> - <a href="news" class="news">News</a> </div> So the effect I've made is, when I hover the image, its opacity gets set to 1. And when I move my mouse away the image changes opacity to .5 And when I hover the text "Home" or "News" the same effect happens with the image. And here's my jQuery: Code: $(function(){ $('.navigation img').css({ opacity: .5 }); $('.navigation img').hover(function(){ $(this).stop().animate({ opacity: 1 },300); }, function(){ $(this).stop().animate({ opacity: .5 },300); }); $('.navigation a').hover(function(){ var imageClass = $(this).attr('class'); $('.navigation img.' + imageClass).stop().animate({ opacity: 1 }, 300); }, function(){ var imageClass = $(this).attr('class'); $('.navigation img.' + imageClass).stop().animate({ opacity: .5 }, 300); }); }); I can't seem to find the error in my script(s). Any help is appreciated. EDIT: Apparently the error appears when I make anchor tags around the image. Code: <a href="home"><img ... /></a> This gives the error. :S Code: <img ... /> But this doesn't? How can this be? I know this looks like I'm spamming for clients, but I have plenty, thankyouverymuch, I just would like your coding help promise I'm a self-taught programmer and working on a couple of my adult sites, and I think it's time I actually figure out how to do a good content warning popup. I would like to be able to link to every page on my site without having to go through my content warning landing page - any ideas? I've seen it done using I believe Java and Ajax in Wordpress, but I'm not using WordPress. And I of course don't want it to popup every time I go to a page on my site. WARNING!!!! links take you to adult content!!!!!! First site: http://stellabrolin.com - this one is basic, all within one domain, no subdomains Second site: http://theroxxbabes.com, sub domains http://hellen.theroxxbabes.com and http://stella.theroxxbabes.com I have 2 subdomains, but I want the same rules to apply; if linked to a page within a subdomain I want the content warning to show, and then a link to the main domain is clicked, I don't want the content warning to show again - how do I do this? am I overthinking this? does this make sense? thanks in advance!! |
