JavaScript - When I Try To Open Greybox - Loader_frame.html Downloads
I'm sure this is older code, but I need help with a GreyBox.
The php script, for a video site, that I'm using (I didn't write the script) is suppose to play the video in the box that pops up over the page, when a video thumbnail is selected. However, instead of showing the player inside the box, a file named loader_frame.html downloads (each time). This file is in the greybox folder. Here is the script: Code: <script type="text/javascript">var GB_ROOT_DIR = "/greybox/";</script> <script type="text/javascript" src="/greybox/AJS.js"></script> <script type="text/javascript" src="/greybox/AJS_fx.js"></script> <script type="text/javascript" src="/greybox/gb_scripts.js"></script> I'd be glad to provide more info or files. Any help/guidance to remedy this, will be appreciated. Similar TutorialsI had the code working, but something has happened and I can't figure out what the problem is. Could someone please help? Have a look he http://www.bpope.com/TEST/portfolio/indexTEST.html The links are actually image maps on different areas of the "book." Click on any of the six to bring up a greybox slide show. My problem is the images often don't appear, but if you then navigate past that image and then back, it invariably shows up. I'm not proficient in javascript, but have been around long enough that when a problem as inconsistent as this happens, it's often because of some sort of conflict in code. I've looked for other similar posts and have found none. After banging my head against this for most of the afternoon, I'm hoping someone will see what I'm missing here. Thanks! B hi guys, im really new to javascript. Can someone tell me how to open a html file using javascript. THanks Hi guys, I have been working on this and cant figure it out. I have an index.html as my main file and I wanted to have a pop-up window that will also open together with the index file. the pop-up window is a notepad like type, file name is clipboard.html. Addon: i started adding code to have the pop-up to stay on the right side of the screen and always on top. As of right now, all codes are very confusing and i decided to delete and start from scratch. Can you guys fill in the blanks? Hi, yes I have 2 questions up related to audio! Not sure Javascript is the problem. I am trying 2 completely different methods. Either would be OK if they worked. With this method the audio works fine testing locally in the browser, popping up a window with a helper player BUT when on the site it opens the window which then downloads the mp3 instead of playing it. http://museum.spps.org/pop_up_audio.html This is the script Code: <script> <!-- function wopen(url, name, w, h) { // Fudge factors for window decoration space. // In my tests these work well on all platforms & browsers. w += 32; h += 96; var win = window.open(url, name, 'width=' + w + ', height=' + h + ', ' + 'location=no, menubar=no, ' + 'status=no, toolbar=no, scrollbars=no, resizable=no'); win.resizeTo(w, h); win.focus(); } // --> </script> This is the code for the link text Code: <a href= "uploads/2ndGraders.mp3" rel="nofollow" target="popup" onClick="wopen('uploads/2ndGraders.mp3', 'popup', 350, 150); return false;"> 2nd Graders talk about Museum Magnet</a> hope someone can help. I am not a javascripter, I just hunted down a couple of things that looked like they might work. thanks Mark Hi Gurus, Please find the attached html that i am working on. this has 3 columns and the 3rd column is 'Show Comments' link. when I hover the link it should display the html page on top my existing page like a tooltip. For Example: In this forum, when hovered on each topic, the topic description is displayed as tool-tip. can anyone shed some light? Thanks! Hi there, I am trying to open some SWF videos from an HTML page. When the user clicks the link, I would like to have the videos open in a transparent window (not a separate browser wndow). I have figured out how to embed the files and have them open in a transparent window as soon as you load/refresh the page but I want to open the SWF using a link. Any suggestions? Thank you all. B I have an older website consisting of frames (html). Now I want to password protect one page. So far I added the following Javascript which I found on youtube: <SCRIPT> function passWord() { var testV = 1; var pass1 = prompt('Please Enter Your Password',' '); while (testV < 3) { if (!pass1) history.go(-1); if (pass1.toLowerCase() == "letmein") { alert('You Got it Right!'); window.open('protectpage.html'); break; } testV+=1; var pass1 = prompt('Access Denied - Password Incorrect, Please Try Again.','Password'); } if (pass1.toLowerCase()!="password" & testV ==3) history.go(-1); return " "; } </SCRIPT> <CENTER> <FORM> <input type="button" value="Enter Protected Area" onClick="passWord()"> </FORM> </CENTER> This works but the protected page opens in a new window not in the main frame. What do I have to add and where? Will search engines pick up this page and display it on the public? Thank you. CT Hi, I want to restrict opening my popup window if it is already opened. For simple scenario, it is quite possible to do but in my case -- 1) When parent page is opening popup window, it is getting refreshed (required from client for some reason). 2) Once submit button is clicked from popup window, again parent page is getting refreshed (again its a requirement from client side). With these 2 conditions, I lost my saved value from variable and hence new popup is keep coming when the action is same. Currently I am using below code to open popup [CODE] function OpenWindow() { if(winPop && !winPop.closed) { alert("Popup is already open"); } else { winPop = window.open('MyPopupPage.aspx'); } } [CODE] Please help me to get rid of this problem. Thanks in advance. - Bhasker I do write some php, but have not much idea about JavaScript. I use window.open to open 10 pages simultaneously. I prefer to open them with a time delay from each other to put less load on the target server. This is my code with no delay. (I played around with setTimeout but can't get it to work.) PHP Code: <a href='http://www.".$new[9]."' onclick="window.open('http://www.".$new[0]."/'); window.open('http://www.".$new[1]."/'); window.open('http://www.".$new[2]."/'); window.open('http://www.".$new[3]."/'); window.open('http://www.".$new[4]."/'); window.open('http://www.".$new[5]."/'); window.open('http://www.".$new[6]."/'); window.open('http://www.".$new[7]."/'); window.open('http://www.".$new[8]."/')\" target='new300/'>Open 10</a> window.open() doesn't open an entirely new window in FF3.6, just a new tab suggestions? Edit: Yeah, ok, so if i specify a size smaller than the current standard window, it'll be forced to open a new window. but what if i want a new standard sized window to open entirely? and in any case, i wan t amore direct solution where possible, thanks. Noob, Linux, lost... I found a bit of sample code I want to mod&use that starts with: var fs = require("fs"); then later fs.open, fs.write/read... I've scanned the web, searched codingforums and the best I can come up with is NodeJS. I did a download/install and .... no joy. Thank you. Never mind (for now) it was really late, tired, not thinking (I do that a lot these days) and I CAN"T TPYE. I'm back. configure, make, make install -> 'install' finished successfully' - My first time adding external JS modules? I now have a file "fs.js". The code blows out on the first line: var fs = require("fs"); I've tried req(fs.js) with no luck. What do I need to do? Thanks Hi, I have a .HTA application. Hta is an unknown file type for mozilla, it's a MS html application file type. Someone know any way for redirect to IE the .HTA application in question when the default browser is not IE, for example Mozilla? All the best. Bob Kuspe Hi, i'm very new with JS and have no idea where to go with this. Basically, i'm looking to have a dropdown menu open in new tab once clicked on Go To URL button. Here it is. Code: <div id="drop_box_nav"> <form action="#" onsubmit="return go_nav();"> <select name="my_links" id="my_links"> <option value="url">name</option> <option value="url">name</option> <option value="url">name</option> <option value="url">name</option> </select> <input type="submit" name="sub_nav" id="sub_nav" value="Go to URL" /> </form> </div> <script type="text/javascript" src="subnav.js"></script> This should be extremely simple for most of you but i'm know squat about JS. Thank you. favorite I'd like to modify a form on www.formsite.com (form builder app): username: testuser password: password I would like to use the nicedit.com's inline content editor's js to transform my textarea's into a richtext area. At present the nicedit editor works well in creating the richtextarea. However, the KEY point is that I would like formsite's form to pipe in the the created html and render it with the html component of formsite. Currently, the pipe function in formsite will only put out the html syntax in it's html module. action seen he http://fs8.formsite.com/testform/form1/index.html So this would be: 1. checking out my form on formsite.com 2. the script from nicedit.com is already installed in an html component. 3. changing or telling me the scripts/tags/or whatever for formsite form using formsites form builder (which allows some html/script editing). 4. changed so as to render the rich text entered on page 1 in page 2 instead of the html syntax. Any other solutions using formsite and any other richtextarea solutions would be great too! How can I let link page open using IE? for example, I open a webpage using firefox or chrome/opera/safari. when I click the link, open the link using IE <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"> <head id="Head2" runat="server"> </head> <body> <a href="#" onClick="window.showModalDialog ('http://www.google.ca','','width=600,height=600','screenx=200','screeny=200')"><img src="images/benemanc-01th.jpg" alt="img-01" width="125" height="155" class="thumb" style="display:inline"></a> </body> </html> Many thanks T Code: <a href=" javascript: myWindow = window.open('http://en59.tribalwars.net/game.php?village=3463&screen=premium&mode=transfer'); myWindow.document.forms[0].name.value='Gods Child';end" target="_blank">Donate Please</a> So, what I am trying to do is when you click the link, a new page opens to that site, then does document.forms[0].name.value='Gods Child'; I can get the page to open, but then it doesn't do the second part. If I run the second part in the url bar, when at the other site, it works how I want too, but not when I do it at the same time. NOTE: The only part that needs to be in this is document.forms[0].name.value='Gods Child'; and the link, but you can change the rest however you want. Hello, I want to know how to open a new window when someone is closing a page. I mean for example, I have to two pages, if the user closes the first page when he clicks on Close button or close in his tab, a new window will open to open the second page. Thank you.
