JavaScript - How Can I Run A Function Based On A Local Stored Radio Value?
I have garlic.js automatically local storing my radio button value but the onclick function does not run when the page reloads. Is there a way to work around this ??

And do you really mean that the onclick event handler does not work? Or do you mean that the radio buttons are set to a different state but the click() for the chosen button is not executed? That is, it is not the onclick that is missing, it is the click ?? Similar TutorialsI have set's of radio buttons that have on click functions, and when i restore the form data i would like the onclick functions to re-calculate. Is there a simply way such as if this.checked = true run onclick function that i can apply to every radio with onload???

But you can use local storage to keep the status of the radio buttonds and reinstate them on page reload. You can then run a script to do whatever is required. I'm trying to add a body class of 'day' if it's 6am-5pm and 'night' if it's 5pm-6am based on the user's local time. I tried the following but it didn't work. Any ideas? In the <head> Code: <script>

I have some JS that I hacked together that checks to see if they chose the 5th radio button. attempts to assign the "other amount" to "amount" and then pops up an alert (only so I know the script is pushing the right value - wont be needed when complete.) However, Even though the alert pops up with the proper "other_amount" as if it has been assigned properly, the data is not sent on properly I presume, as it is the only aspect of the paypal donation amount form that is not working or providing the next page with the right "amount" pre-determined. Hello, I have a function that I call that tells me the checked value of a group of radio boxes. You pass in the form name and radio group name and it gives you the value of the one that is checked. I have a dynamic list of existing shipto addresses that a user can select one in order to have something shipped to a previously used shipto address. If I have more than one, my code works but if there is only one radio option and they click it, the object is deemed undefined. This doesn't work. I have tried giving them different ids, I have tried replacing the id with checked="id=\'myitem\'", I have tried getElementById(\'myitem.checked\'), I have tried getElementbyName. In my full page I have far more radio buttons, so I don't want to do a getElementById(\'myitem[0].checked || myitem[1].checked etc. I think the solution must be along these lines. But I have run out of alternatives to try. Needless to say as it currently stands it gives the last radio button's value, which means it doesn't like them having the same id, but when I tried changing how the id was applied, or called - ElementByName, FF gives the error message as id is null. Is there a way to call javascript functions based on the text between a span element? In other words if I have <span id="mySpan">Bronze</span> then it will call a javascript function but if I have <span id="mySpan">Silver</span> then it will call a different function? Thanks!
