JavaScript - Datepicker Script Does Not Show Correctly Due To The Current Date (today)
I have been using the following script for some time and it has only just been made known to me that it fails on todays date ! not sure if this is the case for other days but the days of the week are all messed up and do not show correctly for a date in June 2011.
Code: var ds_i_date = new Date(); ds_c_month = ds_i_date.getMonth() + 1; ds_c_year = ds_i_date.getFullYear(); // Get Element By Id function ds_getel(id) { return document.getElementById(id); } // Get the left and the top of the element. function ds_getleft(el) { var tmp = el.offsetLeft; el = el.offsetParent while(el) { tmp += el.offsetLeft; el = el.offsetParent; } return tmp; } function ds_gettop(el) { var tmp = el.offsetTop; el = el.offsetParent while(el) { tmp += el.offsetTop; el = el.offsetParent; } return tmp; } // Output Element var ds_oe = ds_getel('ds_calclass'); // Container var ds_ce = ds_getel('ds_conclass'); // Output Buffering var ds_ob = ''; function ds_ob_clean() { ds_ob = ''; } function ds_ob_flush() { ds_oe.innerHTML = ds_ob; ds_ob_clean(); } function ds_echo(t) { ds_ob += t; } var ds_element; // Text Element... var ds_monthnames = [ 'January', 'February', 'March', 'April', 'May', 'June', 'July', 'August', 'September', 'October', 'November', 'December' ]; // You can translate it for your language. var ds_daynames = [ 'Sun', 'Mon', 'Tue', 'Wed', 'Thu', 'Fri', 'Sat' ]; // You can translate it for your language. // Calendar template function ds_template_main_above(t) { return '<table cellpadding="3" cellspacing="1" class="ds_tbl">' + '<tr>' + '<td class="ds_head" style="cursor: pointer" onclick="ds_py();"><<</td>' + '<td class="ds_head" style="cursor: pointer" onclick="ds_pm();"><</td>' + '<td class="ds_head" style="cursor: pointer" onclick="ds_hi();" colspan="3">[Close]</td>' + '<td class="ds_head" style="cursor: pointer" onclick="ds_nm();">></td>' + '<td class="ds_head" style="cursor: pointer" onclick="ds_ny();">>></td>' + '</tr>' + '<tr>' + '<td colspan="7" class="ds_head">' + t + '</td>' + '</tr>' + '<tr>'; } function ds_template_day_row(t) { return '<td class="ds_subhead">' + t + '</td>'; // Define width in CSS, XHTML 1.0 Strict doesn't have width property for it. } function ds_template_new_week() { return '</tr><tr>'; } function ds_template_blank_cell(colspan) { return '<td colspan="' + colspan + '"></td>' } function ds_template_day(d, m, y) { return '<td class="ds_cell" onMouseout="this.style.background=\'#EEE\';" onMouseover="this.style.background=\'#999\';" onclick="ds_onclick(' + d + ',' + m + ',' + y + ')">' + d + '</td>'; // Define width the day row. } function ds_template_main_below() { return '</tr>' + '</table>'; } // This one draws calendar... function ds_draw_calendar(m, y) { // First clean the output buffer. ds_ob_clean(); // Here we go, do the header ds_echo (ds_template_main_above(ds_monthnames[m - 1] + ' ' + y)); for (i = 0; i < 7; i ++) { ds_echo (ds_template_day_row(ds_daynames[i])); } // Make a date object. var ds_dc_date = new Date(); ds_dc_date.setMonth(m - 1); ds_dc_date.setFullYear(y); ds_dc_date.setDate(1); if (m == 1 || m == 3 || m == 5 || m == 7 || m == 8 || m == 10 || m == 12) { days = 31; } else if (m == 4 || m == 6 || m == 9 || m == 11) { days = 30; } else { days = (y % 4 == 0) ? When you click on a link tied to a div it hides all other divs and displays just that one. Well, that works, but I want it to display one of the divs on page load based on today's date. For example, it will display the "summer" div if today's date is anywhere between June 1 and August 31. When links to other divs are clicked that div will disappear and other ones will appear in its place. Anyway, here's the code, and I don't know anything about javascript so I have no idea where to even start editing it. Please help Code: <script type="text/javascript"> <!-- Layer Show/Hide Script last="" function changeDiv(the_div,the_change) { var the_style = getStyleObject(the_div); if (the_style != false) { the_style.display = "block" if(last!="") { last.display = "none" } } last=the_style } function getStyleObject(objectId) { if (document.getElementById && document.getElementById(objectId)) { return document.getElementById(objectId).style; } else if (document.all && document.all(objectId)) { return document.all(objectId).style; } else { return false; } } //--> </script> what can be the reasons for the same code which works perfectly in notepad to not show its result in a jsp application done using eclipse??anything to do with settings? This is the relevant Code: Code: $(function() { Date.format = 'yy-mm-dd'; $('#popupDatepicker').datepick(); }); <p><b>Date Of Birth:</b><input type="text" name="dob" id="popupDatepicker"><br> All I see is dd/mm/yy no matter what I change I need it in a format suitable for MySQL Thanks Hi, I am using jQuery datepicker's date range, I have a dynamic form where date range fields are added dynamically, for this reason I have set the two selectors for jQuery date range to classes. Below is my code: Code: $( ".datepicker_start_date, .datepicker_end_date" ).livequery(function() { var dates = $( ".datepicker_start_date, .datepicker_end_date" ).datepicker({ defaultDate: "+1w", changeMonth: false, dateFormat: 'dd-mm-yy', numberOfMonths: 1, onSelect: function( selectedDate ) { var getclass = $(this).attr("class"); var option = getclass.indexOf("datepicker_start_date") != -1 ? "minDate" : "maxDate", instance = $(this ).data( "datepicker" ), date = $.datepicker.parseDate( instance.settings.dateFormat || $.datepicker._defaults.dateFormat, selectedDate, instance.settings ); dates.not( this ).datepicker( "option", option, date ); } }); }); The above works perfect if I have just two field to range the date such as fields with class .datepicker_start_date and .datepicker_end_date. But if I have multiple fields like have 3-4 more date range fields, it will just mess the dates and add dates of field1 to field 3 and vice versa. I would appreciate if someone could help. I'm trying to make a small bit of scripting that will show the current time, updating once every second. What I need is the following: 1. Multiple timezones or GMT offsets (just put me on the right path, I can code them in, 2. Daylight savings time taken into consideration (only for Australia), adding the 1 hour during the times it is needed, 3. Text to show "Open" and "Closed" during different times (open during 8am to 5pm and closed if not 8am to 5pm.) I have the following code as a start, but I am completely stuck with how to get the rest of what I need! Any help would be appreciated. <h4>Victoria <script type="text/javascript"> <!-- var currentTime = new Date() var hours = currentTime.getHours() var minutes = currentTime.getMinutes() if (minutes < 10){ minutes = "0" + minutes } document.write(hours + ":" + minutes + " ") if(hours > 11){ document.write("PM") } else { document.write("AM") } //--> </script> <script type="text/javascript"> <!-- var currentTime = new Date() var hours = currentTime.getHours() var minutes = currentTime.getMinutes() if (minutes < 10){ minutes = "0" + minutes } if(hours > 11){ document.write("True") } else { document.write("False") } //--> </script> </h4> Cheers in advance. Dale. Hello, I am a newbie to this forum. I have searched for the problem that I have in this forum but found none. I am creating a calendar using html/css and javascript. I used one the free javascript for calendar on the internet and modified it to the way I wanted it to be. However, I could not write the if statement so that the calendar will highlight the current date of the current month only, not all 12 months. And I could not write the if statement so that the calendar will know what day is a holiday and make it red color. What needs to be added to, or modify if I would like to use it also for "nav2" on the same page? I am trying to do it this way entered date has month and date value Code: sResvDate = 01/24 Set sMaxDays to getdate(5) but get date will give year too. and how do i compare if it less than 5th day or not. Hi guys, Just wondering if this javascript is valid. I have about 150 variables, and I want to check, before I start writing it all out. Anything that could reduce it a bit would be great, save time and make the code more efficient! By the way, all values are numbers entered in a html text field. The script does calculations on it, and posts the result to a hidden field, which is submitted to a php email script. Code: <script language="JavaScript"> function calculate() { "use strict"; var sofa_3_seaterX = (document.form1.sofa_3_seater.value * 6); var sofa_2_seaterX = (document.form1.sofa_2_seater.value * 35); var armchair_largeX = (document.form1.armchair_large.value * 9); var armchair_smallX = (document.form1.armchair_small.value * 2); var wall_unitX = (document.form1.wall_unit.value * 3); var total = (sofa_3_seaterX + sofa_2_seaterX + armchair_largeX + armchair_smallX + wall_unitX); document.form1.total.value = total; } </script> Hi, Please i have this code here which is not working to my expectation.Even though the code shows up the date alright but i want to add when it is morning should be AM whiles in evening PM. I have tried several ways to get it but i'm not.please help me to add a code to show PM when the time is (h>11) and AM when (h<11) .Here is what i did Code: <script type="text/javascript"> function runTime(){ var today=new Date(); var h=today.getHours(); var m=today.getMinutes(); var s=today.getSeconds(); if(m<10){ m="0"+m; } document.getElementById("text").innerHTML=h+":"+m+":"+s; t=setTimeout('runTime()',500); } if(h>11) { document.write("PM"); } else{ document.write("AM"); } </script> <body onload="runTime()"> <div id="text"></div> </body> Thank you. Clement Osei. Does anyone know of a javascript code that will always show the date of next tuesday? We have a reoccurring event every tuesday, so as soon as wednesday hits, we need the date to change to the following tuesday. Any help or point in the right direction is appreciated. Thanks! the script below works but it reveals all the codes rather than just the one clicked, there are multiple vouchers on the page, in the php file there is one instance of <?=voucher_code?> so how is it possible to make each instance of voucher_code unique? in order fro this script to work? is it even possible or maybe there's another way? Code: <script> $(".revealVoucher").click(function () { $(".voucherCode").show("slow"); }); </script> <div class="revealVoucher"> <a href="<?=$affiliate_url?>" target="_blank">Reveal Code</a> </div> <div class="voucherCode" style="display:none;"> <a href="<?=$affiliate_url?>"><?=$voucher_code?></a> </div> I am trying to extend my plug in by restricting the sunday from the calendar. I am not sure how to do this with my existing code. here is the code which is currently not working: <script type="text/javascript"> $(function() { // Tabs $('#datepicker1').datepicker({ beforeShowDay: function(date) { return [(date.getDay() > 1), ""]; } minDate: 0, maxDate: "+12M +0D", dateFormat: 'dd-mm-yy' }); }); </script> Can anyone see anything obvious?? I would like to use the jquery datepicker to populate 2 input fields with the same date. I need the 2 fields to display the date in different formats though. So for example one would be displayed as 2009-11-26 and the other as Thu 26 Nov 2009 Here's the code I have so far (which does not work)... Code: <head> <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=UTF-8" /> <title>Untitled Document</title> <link type="text/css" href="css/smoothness/jquery-ui-1.7.1.custom.css" rel="Stylesheet" /> <script type="text/javascript" src="js/jquery-1.3.2.min.js"></script> <script type="text/javascript" src="js/jquery-ui-1.7.1.custom.min.js"></script> <script type="text/javascript"> $(function() { $("#txtStartDate").datepicker({ dateFormat: 'D d M yy' }); $("#txtStartDate2").datepicker({ dateFormat: 'yy-mm-dd' }); }); </script> </head> <body> <p><input name="startDate" id="txtStartDate" type="text" value="" />Dept. date:</p> <input name="startDate" id="txtStartDate2" value="" type="text" /> </body> |
