However any document.write instance seems to set the contentType to text/html and so all the tags are rendered wrong, naturally. From https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=73409 it seems that document.open creates the right contentType, but document.write messes it up. Note: this is for a specific internal project, not the public internet. Therefore it only needs to work in Mozilla 3+, and also server-side is not an option. I'm totally open to other suggestions. Hello everyone, I've got a problem while trying to fetch some informations from multiple forms in the same page. What I'm trying to do with this code is fetching informations from the multiple forms on my page and checking if the information is the information I need. If so, I take this information and add it into a javascript generated form that I submit once every form in the page have been taken care of. It's the only way I found to 'submit' multiple forms at the same time. Everything was fine until I decided to give the user the option to add more forms on the page by clicking on a button (the form is then generated by javascript and appended on the page). There seems to be a problem when checking these particular forms, the script doesn't seem to recognize the value of the radio button (wich is add_question_faq) and never ever enters in this case. I am hitting a brick wall, dont know what to do? I am creating a website for someone and can get information from one form to check it so it can then change the data in another form. What happens is that when the window opens, the form gets cleared out. This is with FireFox (IE has issues too!) I like this because it gives a pop up alert box (with definition) if a field is left empty. Upon success though the user is redirected off the page to a success page. I was told that this has to happen because the .php for the form to work is hosted on my site and the user needs to be redirected to my site in order for the form to work. Since this is the case, I was told I could use javascript to open up a separate window for this to happen, thus allowing the buyer to stay on the eBay listing (and to stay compliant with eBay's html/javascript policy). I have pieced together code from numerous forums to actually do this but there is one flaw. This code not only opens a new window but it opens the new window on any click to the submit button, even if the validation fails. How do I write this so that the new window is only opened when the validation completes all true and not when the validation returns an error/alert box? Additionally... how do I add to the javascript so that the field "ebayid" requires 6 characters and the "itemnumber" requires 12 numbers? When users click I want a modal window to pop up with a simple file upload input inside it and a submit button. I have this working except that when users click submit nothing happens.
