JavaScript - Jquery Ie Problem

Press the login/Sign up in the header of the page. It slides down fine in IE but in mine it refuses to slide up if i click close. Every other browser, it works??? Whats the problem? My problem is this - I was looking for a simple and effective slideshow to use in a website I was making. SimpleSli.de(http://www.simplesli.de/) was exactly what I was looking for. It works great when it works but sometimes when I load the page it kind of doesn't work. I don't know what is going on but only approximately 50 pixels of the slideshow is visible. This happens sporadically when you refresh the page multiple times, and seems to not work more often on Google Chrome. I've eliminated every possible wrong doing in my code and tried installing firebug to help me identify the problem but for now this is beyond my understanding. JS Lint also purged errors in the code but still the same intermittent problem. I tried to contact David Drew - the creator of SimpleSli.de but he has not responded to me. On top of this I was trying to Auto Play the slideshow on load but could not get this to work. The code for it is available on the SimpleSli.de website but I tried to implement it in every possible way but it did not work. This problem is secondary and not really a proper problem so no worries if you can't help me on this one. However I can't figure out how to make my menu get in front of my jquery banner in ie6 and 7!! Ive been literally trying all day. I'm trying to read in an xml file into this "myPlayList" array so that I can have an easy way of updating it, but I'm having trouble understanding this array structure. In the JPlayer code they use "myPlayList[i].name" and "myPlayList[i].mp3" in a for loop to cycle through the playlist and display the links in a list. It didn't display any songs I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. Please help. Also, I'm guessing this has been done before (although I did a google search and couldn't find anything), so If you could point me to some resources I'd appreciate it. Sorry Hello guys, I have implemented the jquery validation in one of my projects. I have a <div> which has all the billing details & another <div> below it which has the shipping details. There is a checkbox in between these <div>'s which says "Same as Billing Address". It is used to populate all the shipping fields from the billing fields. Well, on this particular form there are some fields which are mandatory & which I have validated by jquery validation. I have used the $("#form_id").validate().form(); statement to check validation on the click event of the checkbox. The actual problem is that after page loads, I directly click on the checkbox & submit the page, the page gets submitted & validation does not execute. If I click the submit button with the checkbox unchecked then the validation runs properly. Why is my form not being validated if I checked the checkbox? Please guys, help me out. Thanks in advance. Hi, This must be a 1st. It works ok in IE...But not in Firefox? I need to use white text over a dark bg color or if possible over an image. The problem is in FF the white text distorts on fade The black text works ok when adding the white bg. See my test code below. On the following page http://dev2.bluemuledesign.com/athletes.php you'll see an "athlete profile" area. Whenever an athlete photo is selected, javascript/php are used to switch out the athlete info. This works perfectly fine. The problem occurs if I use the left or right arrows to view more athletes (the left and right arrows are set with php pagination to switch to the next four records in the database). Whenever I do this, the athlete info defaults back to the first person from the initial load. Also, the javascript/jquery quits working and won't let me view the info for one of the newly displayed athletes. So I have two questions: 1) Can anyone tell me why it defaults back to the original athlete info? I'm assuming it has something to do with me not setting a cookie to remember the currently selected athlete. 2) Why does the javascript quit working when I view the next set of athletes? The above works perfect if I have just two field to range the date such as fields with class .datepicker_start_date and .datepicker_end_date. But if I have multiple fields like have 3-4 more date range fields, it will just mess the dates and add dates of field1 to field 3 and vice versa. I would appreciate if someone could help. The first one has the class "show" and the ID "1", the second with just the ID "2", and so forth. (see code below). I am using jQuery to control the onclick function. the jQuery gets the current object with the "show" class. If there is no show class, it takes the first. It then puts a variable string together that represents the UL LI that is needed to be shown.
