JavaScript - Javascript: Open Password Protected Page In Html Website Frame
I have an older website consisting of frames (html). Now I want to password protect one page. So far I added the following Javascript which I found on youtube:

I'm having trouble getting two password boxes to work on the same page, which I created using the JavaScript Kit Encrypted Password Generator (http://www.javascriptkit.com/epassword/index.htm). I've used the code that this generator produces, with some modifications as given by cheesebagpipe (http://www.codingforums.com/showthread.php?t=14646). These changes enable the user to press the keyboard's enter key to submit the password (as an alternative to clicking the submit button), and will also refocus the text box and select the text in it if the user enters the wrong password. The code works fine on pages with just one box (e.g. http://www.mistymusic.co.uk/StLuke's.html), but what changes are needed to make two work on the same page? (I'm new to web design and clueless when it comes to JavaScript, which I know isn't the most secure method of password protection, but will do for now). At the moment, on pages with two boxes (e.g. http://www.mistymusic.co.uk/BEAP.html), neither of the boxes work; this appears in the address bar instead: 'http://www.mistymusic.co.uk/BEAP.html?password2=help!' When I load index.htm in Chrome, apparently tree.js is not being loaded because I do not see any alert box and the functionality within tree.js does not work. Note: The functionality does work in IE and Firefox If I open tree.html directly in Chrome, the tree.js functionality does get called. I'm creating a website with frames. Within the main page frame, there are tables in the main content page. When I created the website, it fit perfectly in the browser window of my smaller laptop. I just checked it out on my old G5 and the images/pages are too big and either cut off or scroll bars appear (which is not what I want) So I wanted to know what code I put in my files and where to put it? Also, what pages does it need to be in? the main frame index page? the specific pages that fit within the frames? some are images that load in the frames? would i need to create an .html for those and then have the .jpg load so that it can be resized? I need the main page to be resized to fit the browser as well as the pages in the frames to fit. Can you help? I have a website that is using ajax to keep the page up to date with the database information. I call this page through a file called start.php. Once index.php is loaded it has a menu with selections. I then want it to call a page called query.php in an iframe to update the information, but not open a new window. In the iframe the query.php will run and then redirect itself to blank.php. The code is as follows and any help would be much appreciated. I have tried several methods of doing this and they have been commented out because they didn't work or didn't do what I wanted them to do. I do not want to use window.open since IE doesn't work well with it. window.open does work by pop up windows but I want to stay away from them. The main code I am looking to get help on is in red under start.php. In start.php I will include the entire file. In index.php I'm only going to include the main sections I use for this snippit. I can open it up in the current page, but the menu is in a frame and I need to open it in a fram called "home". How can I do that~?? Hi, I want to restrict opening my popup window if it is already opened. For simple scenario, it is quite possible to do but in my case -- 1) When parent page is opening popup window, it is getting refreshed (required from client for some reason). 2) Once submit button is clicked from popup window, again parent page is getting refreshed (again its a requirement from client side). With these 2 conditions, I lost my saved value from variable and hence new popup is keep coming when the action is same. Hi, I am creating a HTML page and mailing it to the user(client side). This html page contains a Table and a button. On button click, I would like to create another HTML page based on the detail in the table,dynamically on run time and Open the newly created HTML. I need to use javascript to achieve this functionality. I have no Server-Client Configuration. And I need to run the Javscript only on client side to process the First HTML's table data and Create a new HTML page. The output of the javascript should also be put in a table format in the newly created HTML page. Here is some background information: The details from one server would be put into this first HTML along with a button. This HTML page is then mailed to Client side. The javascript in the HTML page then processes the Table data of first HTML. This can only be run at Client Side,once the user clicks the button and moreover I dont have Server-Client Configuration.
