JavaScript - Lightbox Iframe Problems
Please take a look at the Lightbox Content link on my site. It opens fine at first (blue bit is an iFrame) but then when you close it and reopen it, the iframe content doesn't load?

Similar TutorialsThis is a problem that i have googled for hours and can't find an answer so i resort to asking on here because i found similar question on here. I have a page i use, It has an iframe on it but it is not regular iframe, The iframe has a resizing script that resizes the height of the iframe to the height of the page being viewed. Using this script it eliminates scrolling! This has all been working out great but then i realise for it to function properly in IE i need to add a doctype, When i add a doctype to it it functions properly in IE but it doesn't work in firefox. In firefox the frame doesnt resize and it is like 50px height. I have tried a bunch of different doctypes and they don't work. This is the problem page (with doctype - works properly only on IE): http://ww-chat.com/games.php This is the page without a doctype (Works properly only on FIREFOX - not IE): http://ww-chat.com/games-nodoctype.php This is the code that i use for the iframe: Quote: <iframe id="games" name="games" src="http://ww-chat.com/games/" frameborder=0 scrolling=no width="990" onload="if (window.parent && window.parent.autoIframe) {window.parent.autoIframe('games');}"></iframe> This is the script that it uses to resize the frame: http://ww-chat.com/iframeresize.js I have other iframes on my website which don't use the resize script and they work perfectly fine (with doctype!). Thanks, Worldwideebm Is there a way to resize an iframe dynamically so that you never get the scroll bar and essentially hide that there is an iframe? Better integration really. Basically I want to iframe a forum into my site so that the design down the sides and top which my friend does using iweb are not messed with. We have a central area which can be longer or shorter depending on the forum. Hi all, I hope you can help I have some code which: 1) Opens a URL (e.g. google.com) in a hidden iframe, then 2) Redirects the visitor to a different URL (e.g. yahoo.com) after it has loaded... This works exactly as I need. What I'd like to do is the following: 1) Open a URL (e.g. google.com) in a hidden iframe, then 2) Redirect the visitor to a different URL (e.g. yahoo.com) in a full-screen iframe 3) The address bar of the full-screen iframe should be my domain (obviously!) Here's what I have so far... Hidden iframe -> New URL Code: Code: <html> <body> <script type="text/javascript"> var page_body = document.getElementsByTagName('body'); var myframe = document.createElement('iframe'); var id = Math.random(); myframe.setAttribute('id', 'myFrame'+id); myframe.src = 'http://google.com'; //First open Google in hidden iframe myframe.setAttribute('frameborder', '0') myframe.setAttribute('width', '0'); myframe.setAttribute('height', '0'); if (myframe.attachEvent) { myframe.attachEvent('onload', function() { top.location = 'http://yahoo.com'; //Once loaded redirect to Yahoo -- but the address bar shows yahoo.com -- I want the address bar to display mydomain.com/page.html }); } else if (myframe.addEventListener) { myframe.addEventListener('load', function() { top.location = ('http://yahoo.com'); }, false); } page_body[0].appendChild(myframe); </script> </body> </html> I have an example of some code which displays the full screen iframe, but my problem is... ...I can't figure out how to redirect to this after the hidden iframe has loaded Here's an example of how I want the redirect to display -- after the initial hidden iframe has loaded: Code: <html> <head> <script type="text/javascript"> function sendParams() { document.body.style.overflow = "hidden"; } </script> </head> <body> <!--Open Yahoo.com in a full screen iframe, and disable extra scrollbar --> <iframe height="100%" width="100%" frameBorder="no" onload="sendParams()" src="http://yahoo.com"></iframe> </body> </html> I've been beating my head against the wall today trying to figure this out, and I'm fresh out of ideas. If you can help, you'll have some serious gratitude and good karma thrown your way! Best wishes, and thanks in advance, Paul Hi there everybody, I've got this problem which I can't solve myself... I've got a website which has 3 colums and is hosted on domain1.com. in the right column I've got an Iframe which loads content from domain2.com . this content are some textboxes and a datepicker tool. if I press the 'search'-button in this Iframe I would like to refresh the mainpage (from domain1.com) so that another Iframe appears in the middle column. in this column i would like to load a new form from domain2.com which contains the values that I've put in in the form from the right Iframe. Unfortunally I can't get this to work... Will somebody please help me? I have used iframes for my site and found various javascripts so when a person clicks on say the audio page he http://www.krillmeed.com/index.html it takes them to the audio page but will load it into the index.html page. The problem is, especially with search engines, to point to that page, this is what the URL looks like to send someone to that page: http://www.krillmeed.com/?frame=0&sr...m%2Faudio.html which is not very clean at all, this is the javascript that i found that at least works: Child iframe script: Code: <script type="text/javascript"> (function(){ var qstr = '?frame=0&src=' + encodeURIComponent(location.href), lre = new RegExp('^' + location.protocol + '//' + location.hostname + '(()|(/)|(/index.html)|(/index.php))(()|(\\' + qstr + '))$'); if (!lre.test(parent.location.href)){ top.location.href = '/' + qstr; } })(); </script> Parent iframe Script: Code: <script type="text/javascript"> (function(){ function getQval(n) { if(typeof n !== 'string'){ return null; } var r = new RegExp('[?&;]' + n + '=([^&;#]*)'), m = location.search; return (m = r.exec(m))? unescape(m[1]) : null; } var f = getQval('frame'), s = getQval('src'); if(f && frames[f] && s && s.indexOf(location.protocol + '//' + location.hostname + '/') === 0){ frames[f].location.href = s; } })(); </script> Is there a "cleaner" way of doing this? This was an old code, i have yet to find a more modern one. Thank you in advance. http://www.fotoderyadijital.somee.co...cekimleri.html why my gallery is too slow when i double click the image is it about lightbox script or images is too big size. can you check for me. Figured it out... admin can delete.
I've never done java script, but I need this lightbox effect and I can never figure it out! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_Vv0QVP2CzE there's one tutorial I tryed, but for some reason, the light box never works, it always just opens in a new window. The website I got the codes from http://www.lokeshdhakar.com/projects/lightbox2/#how says that if it doesn't work there must be a conflicting code, but I don't have anything that I would see that would be conflicting this. I'm just trying to get a simple effect on a tutorial website I am creating so you can click the image and it enlarges in the lightbox. Can anyone help me out here? I really would like to figure out this effect. Thanks Hello. Am I missing any coding or anything? I'm really confused and have yet to find any help. I got the instructions from http://www.huddletogether.com/projects/lightbox2/ I would go to their forums but haven't received an approval email for over a week. Odd. Anyway, here is my link with the sample thumbnail. It opens the image in a new page. Thanks! http://creativepink.net/packaging.php Hi, I am using Lightbox+ and overall it's very good for my needs. However it has a small problem that is causing me to loose hair, I have tried to fix it but my grasp of Javascript just isn't cutting it. If you goto http://serennz.sakura.ne.jp/toybox/lightbox/ and click on the image "Sample 2" then use the next arrow to go to "Sample 3" you have to hover off the image and then back on to get the previous and zoom icons to show again. I have been able to make the bug occur every time in both Firefox 3.6 and IE6. I am guessing the mouseover event isn't triggering correctly due to the image object moving underneath the mouse pointer but I just can't fix it. Any help, pushes in the right direction, anything. Cam. Hi, could someone please tell me what I'm doing wrong with this page? http://www.silvergatehomes.com/customhomestest.html I've tried a bunch of things and cannot figure out what I'm doing wrong. Thanks. P.S. The reason I'm writing is because the images aren't opening. can some tell me how this image gallery with lightbox is done? I am trying to figure this out and was searching, but couldn't find how this was implemented with lightbox. http://www.davirusso.com/work/ I am making a simple lightbox without using the silly plugins and I want to know how to make the lightbox resize equally when its being loaded. I can only get it expand from the corner, I want it to stretch down then widen but equally on both sides. this is the code im using: Code: // Javascript <script language="javascript"> $(function(){ $("a#show-panel").click(function(){ $("#lightbox, #lightbox-panel").animate({"height" : "400px"},2000); $("#lightbox, #lightbox-panel").animate({"width" : "400px"},2000); }); $("a#close-panel").click(function(){ $("#lightbox, #lightbox-panel").fadeOut(300); }); }); </script> // CSS #lightbox { display:none; background:#000000; opacity:0.9; filter:alpha(opacity=90); position:absolute; top:0px; left:0px; min-width:100%; min-height:100%; z-index:1000; } #lightbox-panel { display:none; position:fixed; top:100px; left:50%; margin-left:-200px; background:#FFFFFF; padding:10px 15px 10px 15px; border:2px solid #CCCCCC; z-index:1001; } // HTML <a id="show-panel" href="#" class="small">Show Panel</a> <div id="lightbox-panel"> <h2>Lightbox Panel</h2> <p>You can add any valid content here.</p> <p align="center"> <a id="close-panel" href="#" class="small">Close this window</a> </p> </div><!-- /lightbox-panel --> <div id="lightbox"> </div><!-- /lightbox --> Hi, I have tried lightbox2 and jquery lightbox and I have the same problem with both. I have added the javascripts and css files for the lightbox. This is my code: <a href="getsnap.php?id={$user.id}&typ=full&picid={$pic.picno}" rel="lightbox" title="TITLE"><img src="getsnap.php?id={$user.id}&typ=tn&picid={$pic.picno}" width="45" height="45" alt="" /></a> The problem hee is when you click on the image, it want you to save the file to your computer and not use the lightbox effect. I have to put the image through getsnap.php?etc.... Any ideas? Hi for some reason my lightbox, downloaded from (huddletogether/projects - Lightbox 2) isn't working. I have a javascript slider that IS working on the page aswell You can view a test page here http://www.spmcreative.co.uk/patrickedward/gallery.html (only the first thumbnail is clickable) I have attached some code below, please let me know if you need to see any more, Code: <head> <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=UTF-8" /> <title>Patrick Edward Diamonds</title> <link rel="stylesheet" href="CSS/style.css" type="text/css" /> <link rel="stylesheet" href="CSS/screen.css" type="text/css" media="screen" /><br /> <link rel="stylesheet" href="CSS/lightbox.css" type="text/css" media="screen" /> <script src="js/prototype.js" type="text/javascript"></script> <script src="js/scriptaculous.js?load=effects,builder" type="text/javascript"></script> <script src="js/lightbox.js" type="text/javascript"></script> <style type="text/css"> body { background-image: url(img/MainBG.gif); background-repeat: repeat; } a:link { color: #999; text-decoration: none; border:0; } a:visited { text-decoration: none; color: #999; border:0; } a:hover { text-decoration: none; color: #000; border:0; } a:active { text-decoration: none; border:0; } </style> </head> <body> <div id="container"> <div id = "header"> <div class = "logo"> <a href="index.html"> <img src="img/logo.png" alt ="Patrick Edward Diamonds" /> </a> </div> <ul id="nav"> <li><a href="index.html"> Home |</a></li> <li><a href="collections.html"> Collections |</a></li> <li><a href="design.html"> Design Service |</a></li> <li><a href="trade.html"> Trade Service |</a></li> <li><a href="gallery.html"> Design Gallery |</a></li> <li><a href="contact.html"> Contact Us</a></li> </ul> </div> <!--end of header--> <div class="main_view"> <div class="window"> <div class="image_reel"> <a href="#"><img src="img/reel_1.jpg" alt="" /></a> <a href="#"><img src="img/reel_2.jpg" alt="" width="780" height="245" /></a> <a href="#"><img src="img/reel_3.jpg" alt="" /></a> <a href="#"><img src="img/reel_4.jpg" alt="" /></a> </div> </div> <div class="paging"> <a href="#" rel="1"><img src="img/bullet.png" alt="" /></a> <a href="#" rel="2"><img src="img/bullet.png" alt="" /></a> <a href="#" rel="3"><img src="img/bullet.png" alt="" /></a> <a href="#" rel="4"><img src="img/bullet.png" alt="" /></a> </div> </div> <!--end of banner--> <div id="main1"> <p><img src="img/gallery.png" alt="Gallery" /></p> <div class="album"> <div class="imageSingle"> <div class="image"><a href="img/Lgallery1.jpg" rel="lightbox" title="my caption"><img src="img/gallery1.jpg"/></a></div> </div> Thanks, Simon Hey guys, I'm new to the forum and thought I should sign up to learn a little more. I am trying to work on a lightbox for my personal portfolio site which opens up numerous images in one lightbox that you can scroll through. However, I want thumbnails below the main image too. The following link shows exactly what I mean, just click on one of the images... http://www.weareunit.com/index.php?p=3D Thanks Hey folks, I'm working on a complete recode of my website and I would love to use a lightbox for my image gallery. I've been trying to research different lightboxes and have so far found it quite the runaround. Could anyone recommend one? I'm just looking for one with simple implementation that allows for a single image to be displayed with closing and forward/backward functions for clicking through the different images in the gallery. If anyone wants/needs more info, please let me know. Thanks in advance. I have been following a tutorial for an image gallery, i can upload images and use gd to create thumbnails that when clicked display the full sized image, but the full sized image is to big to fit in my design, i have managed to get the rel="lightbox" attached to the thumbnails as they are displayed but it wont load the full image, the loading ring just keeps going round, does anybody know how to fix this? is it even possible. BTW i am a complete beginner so please be gentle.
I really like the lightbox2 effect (http://www.huddletogether.com/projec...tbox2/#example) but I need help doing what I'm trying to do, for some reason I cannot get it to work, maybe you have a better recommendation? I have one large image, its a tear out of a magazine, I want the initial image to be the entire page, but I want the user to be able to click on the text area of the page and have that enlarge so the viewer can read it clearly. Any ideas? Thank you, Dustin |
