JavaScript - Javascript Working On One Domain But Not Another
Hi:
I am having an issue that is quite strange. I have some javascript included into a page. It is working perfectly on one website. I duplicated the exact page to another domain and it wont work there at all. I have verfied that the html and javascript are exactly identical on both sites. Please help. Similar TutorialsI've been working on a site where the content is displayed in an iframe. The iframe content is on a different domain than the iframe itself. I've already got around the cross-domain problems by creating a file on the parent domain that the iframe content references via another iframe. (which uses parent.parent to skip the permissions issue) That was all fine and pressing back and forward in the browser navigated back and forward in the iframe (at least in FF, not 100% sure about other browsers) Then the client wasn't happy that the url in the browser didn't change and pages couldn't be bookmarked. So I created a solution where the parent.parent.location.href was changed to be domain.com/#/path/to/iframecontent.php so that pages could be bookmarked, that works fine but now back and forward don't work, or more specifically the url changes correctly but the iframe content doesn't go back. I'm facing an issue with fetching the page URL from an IFRAME with cross domain. Is there any approach/ any ways to achieve this? I hope I have this post in the right place! Any help would be very much appreciated... I have a feature on my website that allows users to choose the website background (using alternate css sheets) and then uses an externally linked javascript file to store the background choice as a cookie so it is consistent throughout the website. This works perfectly locally (i.e. when previewing my website on my computer) but now it is uploaded to my host it doesn't appear to be working. thanks in advance Hello, I have a website that has some javascript on it, this works fine in Chrome, Opera, Safari and Firefox but not IE (any version I've tried). I've installed Firebug to try to help debug it but that doesn't pick up any issues. I'm not very good when it comes to javascript so would appreciate any assistance. It only works when I click the "Check Field" button. It does not work when I hit "Enter" button on my keyboard, while it does on that site. Can anyone give me some idea what's going on? How can this be solved? I thank you for the help in advance. I am a total noob when it comes to Javascript but I am working on learning it. I am working on a site and used this script http://livepipe.net/ It works in ie fine on their site, but not on mine. On my site it runs on every browser except IE and generates the errors below. The ajax_info.txt file and the ajax_mine.txt file both show basic information only. Hey, everyone: I've been having some trouble with javascript in different browsers. I developed my website using Safari and Chrome on a Mac, only to now realize that some of my javascript will NOT function in FireFox and IE (for both Mac and Windows). I understand that each browser has its quirks, but I'm not aware of anything that would cause my code to act so strangely. The biggest problem seems to be my onload() call in the body tag.
