PHP - Xml Data To Php Html Code
Hi, I have a working PHP script that picks data from an XML file. I would like the script to pick values from certain range.
Right now the PHP shows every Item with name and value in a table. So when all 4 of the item values are shown they are beneath each other in a column. But i would like them all to be next to each other. Therefore if i have these 4 item values (Name 0000), if i could pick them from the XML e.g. not the first but the second than i could make them manually with 4 different PHP scripts and put them next to each other. I'm not very good at PHP, but i think this is probably very easy thing to do. Thanks in advance. The PHP script looks like this: Code: [Select] <? // DOMElement->getElementsByTagName() -- Gets elements by tagname // nodeValue : The value of this node, depending on its type. // Load XML File. You can use loadXML if you wish to load XML data from a string $objDOM = new DOMDocument(); $objDOM->load("feed.xml"); //make sure path is correct $note = $objDOM->getElementsByTagName("item"); // for each note tag, parse the document and get values for // tasks and details tag. foreach( $note as $value ){ $places = $value->getElementsByTagName("name"); $place = $places->item(0)->nodeValue; $details = $value->getElementsByTagName("amount"); $detail = $details->item(0)->nodeValue; echo "<BODY STYLE='background-color:transparent'> <table border='0'> <tr> <td width='127'><table width='127px' border='0' cellpadding='0' cellspacing='0'> <tr> <td><p style='font-family:arial;color:white;font-size:22px;padding-left:3px;text-align:left; background:url(bg2.png)'><strong> $place</strong></p></td> </tr> </table> </td> <td width='115'> <table width='115px' border='0' cellpadding='0' cellspacing='0'> <tr> <td><p style='font-family:arial;color:white;font-size:22px;text-align:right;padding-right:5px; background:url(bg1.png)'><strong>$detail</strong></p></td> </tr> </table></td> </tr> </table> "; $i++; } ?> And the XML looks like this: Code: [Select] <xml> <item> <name>Examplename</name> <amount>0000</amount> </item> <item> <name>Examplename</name> <amount>0000</amount> </item> <item> <name>Examplename</name> <amount>0000</amount> </item> <item> <name>DExamplename</name> <amount>0000</amount> </item> </xml> Similar Tutorialswhat is the best way yo do this? Code: [Select] <b><font color=green>Get me out please </font> . </b> thanks in advance Hello to all, I have problem figuring out how to properly display data fetched from MySQL database in a HTML table. In the below example I am using two while loops, where the second one is nested inside first one, that check two different expressions fetching data from tables found in a MySQL database. The second expression compares the two tables IDs and after their match it displays the email of the account holder in each column in the HTML table. The main problem is that the 'email' row is displayed properly while its while expression is not nested and alone(meaning the other data is omitted or commented out), but either nested or neighbored to the first while loop, it is displayed horizontally and the other data ('validity', 'valid_from', 'valid_to') is not displayed.'
Can someone help me on this, I guess the problem lies in the while loop? <thead> <tr> <th data-column-id="id" data-type="numeric">ID</th> <th data-column-id="email">Subscriber's Email</th> <th data-column-id="validity">Validity</th> <th data-column-id="valid_from">Valid From</th> <th data-column-id="valid_to">Valid To</th> </tr> </thead> Here is part of the PHP code:
<?php while($row = $stmt->fetch(PDO::FETCH_ASSOC)) { echo ' <tr> <td>'.$row["id"].'</td> '; while ($row1 = $stmt1->fetch(PDO::FETCH_ASSOC)) { echo ' <td>'.$row1["email"].'</td> '; } if($row["validity"] == 1) { echo '<td>'.$row["validity"].' month</td>'; }else{ echo '<td>'.$row["validity"].' months</td>'; } echo ' <td>'.$row["valid_from"].'</td> <td>'.$row["valid_to"].'</td> </tr>'; } ?>
Thank you. I have the following code in html: <html> <head> <script type="text/javascript"> <!-- function delayer(){ window.location = "http://VARIABLEVALUE.mysite.com" } //--> </script> <title>Redirecting ...</title> </head> <body onLoad="setTimeout('delayer()', 1000)"> <script type="text/javascript"> var sc_project=71304545; var sc_invisible=1; var sc_security="9c433fretre"; </script> <script type="text/javascript" src="http://www.statcounter.com/counter/counter.js"></script><noscript> <div class="statcounter"><a title="vBulletin statistics" href="http://statcounter.com/vbulletin/" target="_blank"><img class="statcounter" src="http://c.statcounter.com/71304545/0/9c433fretre/1/" alt="vBulletin statistics" ></a></div></noscript> </body> </html> Is a basic html webpage with a timer redirect script and a stascounter code. I know a bit about html and javascript, but almost nothing about php. My question is: How a can convert this html code into a php file, in order to send a variable value using GET Method and display this variable value inside the javascript code where says VARIABLEVALUE. Thanks in adavance for your help. I have a form that users input user name, password, and email... all writes to csv fine. My problem is I need to concatenate a a string with a variable and some html code will preserving the html when written to the csv.. I need the csv to be this username,password,email,user,category,text with http://sub.domain..com/splash/,something,something here's what i have Code: [Select] <?php if($_POST['formSubmit'] == "Submit") $varUserName = $_POST['username']; $varPW = $_POST['PW']; $varEmail = $_POST['email']; { $fs = fopen("testcsv.csv","a"); fputcsv($fs, array($varUserName,$varPW,$varEmail,"user","title",",category","some text '<a href="http://$varUserName.url.com/splash/>site.com</a>',)); fclose($fs); exit; } ?> and of course I'm getting Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING, expecting ')' on line 9 Can I combine also HTML code in PHP function? For example, can a PHP function include HTML form and the PHP code to handle this form? If yes, this will make my main code much more smaller and readable. If not, is there a way to define an "external macro" like, which allow me to replace pre-defined lines of code with short alias? Thanks in advance, samanj Hey guys I have a client who wants to upload images then have them display on his page... obviously that process is not an issue at all. The catch is he wants the image to change at midnight and display the next image in the sequence, then display it until midnight strikes, and then the next in the sequence is displayed. Is there any code type that will recognise a set time/date and display coressponding images in a database? I realise I made need to add a field for an ID number/date ID for the code to identify which image to display, but not sure what code will/wont work Can some one point me in the right direction would be much appreciated Thanks Tom The attached code works perfect for me. This code displays data from my mysql database in a browser & allows me to edit it, then re-submit it to the mysql database. Again, all of this works great. I was wondering if there was a way way for me to add some code to this existing code that would send me an email with the information in the form when the submit button is clicked? Nothing fancy....I'd just like to get an email based off of the location, for example if the location is changed from "Office1" to "Office2", I'd like the email to go to office2@mail.com. If "Office3" is entered, I'd like the form info to go to office3@mail.com. Is this possible? Hello everyone,
I have one humble request and I hope someone here will help me.
Before I start, I have to say that I'm clueless about PHP and I'm in a little rush, so that's why I don't have a lot time to learn about PHP.
My problem is:
- I have a IBM DB2 table on one side, and PHP application on other. DB2 table is like a "temporary" table.
- All data from table has to be inserted into PHP application, which should then send those data to another tables back in DB2, with same types.
I'm trying to automatically insert some values made in MS Excel solution via DB2. Values should be inserted into PHP application and saved, so that user can see those entries done. I'm just trying to eliminate double entering of same data from MS Excel. I believe when values are inserted and saved, all datas will be automatically send to another tables - because application allready does that.
Table data is: _Date_,_Name_,_Start_Time,_End_Time_ (and PHP application has input fields for that)
What I need is just some links to what kind of PHP coding I should use, or maybe even better If someone provides me a simple example. Code should prefferable be generated from a cmd_button in PHP application.
I'm sorry in advance If question is stupid, probably only some export command should be done, but I still need an example of PHP code for that.
I hope I was clear!
Thanks for help !!

Cheers & Enjoy the Snow , Natasha T Hi, I'm trying to fetch rows of data from a mysqli table and display them in the browser in categories. I have the while loop working fine, but I want to break the results down into categories, instead of one big list sorted by a field using ORDER BY. So for example, let's say I have a database table containing people's names, email address, phone numbers, etc. and I want to display them in the browser in separate tables by the city in which they live (each city name would be a h1 or h2 tag) and the appropriate rows would be displayed under each heading, sorted by the person's name. I can do it by using multiple while loops, separating each city into it's own array and then repeating my html table code a bunch of times, but I know there has to be a much cleaner way. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks! I tried to code something simple : small Mysql DB (works fine) and to begin a search bar to browse data. I adapted a code that I understood provided here : https://www.cloudways.com/blog/live-search-php-mysql-ajax/. Base principle is simple : as you type in your query, it will pass the text to script.js that will forward this request to ajax.php file. In the ajax.php, a javascript function named “fill()” will pass the fetched results. This function will also display the result(s) into “display” div in the “search.php” file. The problem is that when I type anything it displays, below the search bar, at the moment I type a character: Quote
'; //Fetching result from database. while ($Result = MySQLi_fetch_array($ExecQuery)) { ?> ")'>
instead of the actual answer from my database (no error in the browser console). I tested the SQL query + the user I provide and everything seems fine. Any clue what could be the root cause ? I strongly suspect a mistake in the code as I already corrected one (script.js instead of scripts.js) but I really cannot figure out where. Thanks in advance,
problematic code (ajax.php):
<?php //Including Database configuration file. include "db.php"; //Getting value of "search" variable from "script.js". if (isset($_POST['search'])) { //Search box value assigning to $Name variable. $Name = $_POST['search']; //Search query. $Query = "SELECT Name FROM search WHERE Name LIKE '%$Name%' LIMIT 5"; //Query execution $ExecQuery = MySQLi_query($con, $Query); //Creating unordered list to display result. echo ' <ul> '; //Fetching result from database. while ($Result = MySQLi_fetch_array($ExecQuery)) { ?> <!-- Creating unordered list items. Calling javascript function named as "fill" found in "script.js" file. By passing fetched result as parameter. --> <li onclick='fill("<?php echo $Result['Name']; ?>")'> <a> <!-- Assigning searched result in "Search box" in "search.php" file. --> <?php echo $Result['Name']; ?> </li></a> <!-- Below php code is just for closing parenthesis. Don't be confused. --> <?php }} ?> </ul>
