PHP - Adding 4 Hours To Current Time?
Ok, I have a variable ($incubation) set as 04:00:00.
Then I have another variable ($starttime) set to the current time. Both are printing out fine. But I'm trying to get an $endtime from adding the incubation time to the start time. I would like to get the current timestamp but the question is that i want to get the real time which is the machine bios time that can't change by the server administrator and not the server time which can be modified to any value.

I'm looking to enter the current time and date into a mysql database using php. I currently have php java to get my database results and limit the amount of data shown by a given value. The js includes buttons to go forward or backward in the database. Everything is all fine and dandy except I'm trying to add a very simple search for the user as well. I want the user to be able to select either "firstname" or "lastname" to search through the database and display the resulting rows based of the first three characters entered into the search criteria. I'm not sure where to start on this... Do I have to add something the js (I'm not very familiar with js), or should I add mysql_query's in the php linked file? I have a form which on submit needs to enter the current date and time in the date_time field. there are few issues with this. if I just use: date("h:i: A") the time prints as 7 hours earlier than my timezone, and currently it shows 1:09 AM and it appears in the database as "01:09:00". if I use the code above, the time prints out as "08:09 PM", but it is inserted into the database as "08:09:00". Shouldn't it read "20:09:00" instead? and why isn't the time being inserted into the database with the "PM" suffix on it like it appears in the printout? the "time" field in my database is set to type TIME. thanks.
