PHP - Work Week Layout For Mysql Query

I have created a registration page to access my website. After the user registrate himself should appear an alert saying that the registration was OK and a redirect to main.php page... however for some reason if I create an insert statement the alert and the redirect don't appear... If I remove the insert the alert and the redirect works... why?

Hi,

I have a table that contains posts and each post has a datetime field.

Im trying to work out how I can show entries from today, this week and this month so I can have a link that shows all posts from today or this month etc.

Any one know how I can do this ? My current piece of code that pulls the data from the db looks like this :

(continuing from topic title)
So if I set a date of July 7 2011 into my script, hard coded in, I would like the current date to be checked against the hard coded date, and return true if the current date is within a week leading up to the hard coded date.

How could I go about doing this easily?

I've been researching dates in php but I can't seem to work out the best way to achieve what I'm after.

I'm restarting this under a new subject b/c I learned some things after I initially posted and the subject heading is no longer accurate.

What would cause this behavior - when I populate session vars from a MYSQL query, they stick, if I populate them from an MSSQL query, they drop.

It doesn't matter if I get to the next page using a header redirect or a form submit.  I have two session vars I'm loading from a MYSQL query and they remain, the two loaded from MSSQL disappear. 

I have confirmed that all four session vars are loading ok initially and I can echo them out to the page, but when the application moves to next page via redirect or form submit, the two vars loaded from MSSQL are empty. 

Any ideas?

Another issue with trying to work on somebody else's script (and on no sleep!) I've got this mess of a page I'm trying to manipulate to add a feature to.

When somebody goes to this page, it pulls all records. At the top, I added a way to refine the results by dates. That query works fine, I tested it in mysql. To avoid fighting with the original code, I created an if statement to create $query_selectAll. But when I put it in the page, it would just refresh with the same data. I echoed the query to make sure it is correct. Then I realized that there was another query, $query_selectAllItems,  further down the page that was generating the results, and none of what I was doing made a difference. But I'm not sure why it's ignoring my query or how to work around this. I tried deleting the query $query_selectAllItems, thinking it would take mine, because it ends with the same: $result_all

Hi   Been trying to run a query to get all rows from a table between two dates, but nothing seems to work.   $query = "SELECT * FROM table WHERE date BETWEEN '%2014-11-17%' AND '%2014-11-18%'";   Strange thing if I try a search instead a query in phpmyadmin I don't see an operator called 'BETWEEN' on the remote host, but I do on my localhost. Does this mean it will never work on the remote host? Nevertheless it doesn't work on either and I do have records for both dates in the table.   phpmyadmin: Version 4.1.14 localhost (wamp)

Hi all,

Perhaps, let me briefly explain what I would like to achieve.

Currently I am using INNER JOIN command to link 4 sql tables
1) tutor_overall_level_subject.sql
2) tutor_subject_level.sql
3) tutor_level.sql
4) tutor_subject.sql

In tutor_level.sql, there are 11 'level_id'
level id 1 == Pre-School
level id 2 == Lower Primary School
level id 3 == Upper Primary School
level id 4 == Lower Secondary
etc....


As you can see from the code below,
I am trying to retrieve 'lower primary' records only and place it in a table
Subsequently, 'upper primary' records and place it in another table

However when I executed the code, I receive a blank page. What could have gone wrong? Thanks
