" has been uploaded"; } else { echo "Sorry, there was a problem uploading your file."; } ?> I am using this to upload photos to the directory called 'images'. How could I change this code so that I can choose an existing directory to upload it to and also create a new directory to upload it to if I wanted? Hey guys does anyone know of a good dynamic directory solution? What i mean by this is when i am creating an application and i use require_once 'includes/config.php'; and then i create a class that needs the config file so i include it into the class like so: require_once '../include/config.php'; then i make a new folder named member then i have to require this class (created above) and it fails to find the directory. What would be a good solution for this? Thanks guys!! So I have a simple template that I want to be the index page of the website that I'm working on, however, I don't want to have to create several almost identical files for each of the directories.
Is there perhaps anyway that I can change the content of the main div yet the address be a different directory.
So for example, this is the main index page:
<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/loose.dtd"> <head> <title>Matthew Noskiw's website - Home</title> <link rel='stylesheet' type='text/css' href='./inc/CSS/styles/default.css' /> <link rel='stylesheet' type='text/css' href='./inc/CSS/static/navigation.css' /> </head> <body> <div id='Container'> <div id='Header'> <div class='right'> <ul id='Navigation'> <li id='NavButton' class='active'><a href='./'>Home</a></li> <li id='NavButton'><a href='./about'>About</a></li> <li id='NavButton'><a href='./blog'>Blog</a></li> <li id='NavButton'><a href='./contact'>Contact</a></li> </ul> </div> <span>noskiw.co.uk</span> </div> <hr /> <div id='MainContent'> <h2>Home</h2> <br /> <span> Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipisicing elit, sed do eiusmod tempor incididunt ut labore et dolore magna aliqua. </span> </div> <hr /> <div id='Footer'> <span>Matthew Noskiw</span> </div> </div> </body> </html>But if you look in the <h2> tag in the 'MainContent' div, then you'll see it reads "Home". What I want to happen is that when I change the page, for example, go to /about I want it to read <h2>About</h2>. I have 4 different pages for this so far, is there any way to get it down to just one yet they be in different directories? P.S The reason this is in the PHP Help section is because I assumed that it would more than likely be something to do with PHP. Edited by ghostrider1337, 02 August 2014 - 02:36 PM. I have one input upload and need it to go to two directories here is my upload code that handles the move_upload_file portion. Code: [Select] move_uploaded_file($_FILES['fillPDF']['tmp_name'], $strNewsPath . $strFilename); Thanks in advance. How do I include a file that is located two directories above the file that I want to include the file into? My absolute hosting path is /home/content/52/8840652/html if this would be of any use. I'm not quite sure about the PHP include functions. Any help would be greatly appreciated, Thanks! i need to convert the following path Code: [Select] $url=http://www.test.com/images/1/7/4/7/9/thumb.jpg to Code: [Select] $updated_url= /home/vhosts/test.com/httpdocs/images/1/7/4/7/9/thumb.jpgThe directories in the url are created dynamically Right now what i am doin is Code: [Select] $updated_url='/home/vhosts/'.$url.'/httpdocs/images/'.basename($url)which gives me /home/vhosts/test.com/httpdocs/images/thumb. But I also need to get the directories 1/7/4/7/9. It may be differ for different urls. Can this be done through some form of string replacement or pattern matching method? I am a php newb. I have 2 somewhat simple problems. First I have a huge list of movies that I would like sorted in a drop down list alphabetically. I already have the drop down list made and the movies show up correctly. But I cannot figure out how to sort the list. Here is the code <?php $dir="/backup/Movies"; if ($handle = opendir($dir)) { while (false !== ($file = readdir($handle))) { if ($file != "." && $file != ".." && $file != "index.php") { $thelist .= '<option>'.$file.'</option>'; } } closedir($handle); } ?> <form action="listen.php" method="post" name="table"> <select name="Movie"> <P><?=$thelist?></p>' </select> </form> Second problem is inside this directory there are a few other directories is it possible to make the directories show at the top instead of them being sorted alphabetically with the movies. Thanks in advance Jake Hello everyone, This is a fairly simple question, but the explanation of the question isn't... I'll do my best. I have a site where my folders/sub-folders/files are arranged similar to this: _ Root Folder -| Root-IncludeFile1.php | Root-IncludeFile2.php | _ | Sub-Folder 1 -| Sub1-File1.php | |_Sub1-File2.php | _ | Sub-Folder 2 -| Sub2-File1.php | |_Sub2-File2.php | _ |_Sub-Folder 3 -| Sub3-IncludeFile1.php |_Sub3-IncludeFile2.php Hopefully that makes sense to everyone. Anyway, I know that to include a file that is in the root folder in file in a sub-folder, I can do this - include("../includefile1.php"); -but I'm trying to include a file that is in a sub folder in a file that is in another sub-folder. For example, I'm trying to include "Sub3-IncludeFile1.php" in "Sub-File1.php" I'm lost on this because I can't get it to work. I'm not getting any error messages except to say that the variables located in the file that should be included are not found. I've tried to do this: include("http://www.mysite.com/Sub-Folder3/Sub3-IncludeFile1.php"); and it doesn't work. Can someone please point me in the right direction? Thanks in advance for your help. $filepath = $_SERVER['DOCUMENT_ROOT'] . "file/"; $fileunzippath = $filepath."unzipped/"; $exclude_list = array(".", "..", "...", "index.php", ".php", ".htaccess"); if($_FILES["zip_file"]["name"]) { $filename = $_FILES["zip_file"]["name"]; $source = $_FILES["zip_file"]["tmp_name"]; $type = $_FILES["zip_file"]["type"]; $name = explode(".", $filename); $accepted_types = array('application/zip', 'application/x-zip-compressed', 'multipart/x-zip', 'application/x-compressed'); foreach($accepted_types as $mime_type) { if($mime_type == $type) { $okay = true; break; } } $continue = strtolower($name[1]) == 'zip' ? true : false; if(!$continue) { $message = "The file you are trying to upload is not a .zip file. Please try again."; } }Specifically i want to highlight this part: $exclude_list; $dir_path = $_SERVER['DOCUMENT_ROOT']; $dir_path .= "/file/unzipped/"; $directories = array_diff(scandir($fileunzippath.$clean_name), $exclude_list); foreach($directories as $entry) { if(is_dir($dir_path.$entry)) { if($entry != 'part0' || $entry !='part1') { rmdir($entry); } } }When I upload a zip file containing 2 directories(one called 'part0', and one called 'bad'), they get unzipped correctly and it gives no errors, however the fake directories(not called part0 or part1) I put in there are still there.
