PHP - How To Get All Elements Of A Dropdown List Into A Variable Of Type Array???

Can anyone let me know what I am doing wrong.  I am sure it will (after the fact) be obvious, but I don't see it right now.  Wish to remove all array elements which do not implement ValidatorCallbackInterface.  Thanks

Alright, so I have an xml file differences.xml that is being parsed in XML. This is what the xml looks like:

I want to have the item names (dog, cat) show in a dropdown menu so that I can select these items for editing before storing in my mysql database.

This is the php code I have so far:

I do have a dropdown list but there are no values inside it (it is empty). Can anyone help me figure out why?

I can't seem to call $$value[$i], however when I leave off the [$i] part     Code: [Select]
print_r($$value); I get the individual elements...

However, I would like to get the 1 part of the array, in this example. Is there a magic trick to calling variable arrays' individual elements?

I have a simple form that edits student information.  I have several fields that I have a drop down list pulled as an array from a separate table.  I would like the information that is already entered on the student to be the default but still have the drop down list available if the item was entered in error. For example:  Drop down list of all the states of America, OH was entered for the student, when the edit form comes up for State in Address I would like OH to be the default but still have the list to choose if OH was entered in error. I have tried selected = $selected but then the entire drop down changed to OH.  I am very, very much a beginner in this

Long time lurker, first time poster here.  I am having a problem with a multiple file uploader form I am trying to build.  I am using the CodeIgniter framework, but I believe my problem is with the form itself.

The problem is this:

When I choose only one file to upload, it works.  I can choose any of the 3 inputs and it works great.  But as soon as I try to choose 2 or more files, the form fails to post.  When I press submit, the page simply reloads and none of the form variables get posted.  I have checked settings in php.ini and tried building and rebuilding this form.  I'm hoping someone here can provide some insight into what I'm doing wrong?
