Hello !   How I can make a script of my PHP code to work even if my website is not running   Can I make this with php ? 

I am developing paid property listing php website, I do not have al lot of scripting/database experience that is why I am farming this part of the work out. This website will provide a listing service which real estate agents can go to the site and look at the properties. They can search by Zip, city, or Sale by Owner. Alternatively, they can look at all the properties or recently posted. They will be able to see one tiny thumbnail with limited info like zip code/city. In order to see more pictures or get address info they will need to sign up and pay for each property to get more pics/info. So I need the script/scripts to do the following:

1. Provide all the search criteria as listed above (search by zip, search by city, Sale by Owner, Page that populates all the properties)
2. Provide a database interface so that I can upload the pics and enter new entries that will dynamically embed into my site.
3. Provide user access (new and existing)
4. Provide a shopping cart and payment gateway (Provide options for both Paypal and traditional Credit Card payment gateways) which will then allow the user access to the full info.
5. Must be able to integrate into my existing website/CSS


If you are wondering if this will work, do not worry. My guy is taking the pics and getting the info has been getting business from real estate agents with this by word of mouth, it will work.

Let me know ASAP as I am taking bids and looking to implement quickly. I can send a mock up by the man doing the property finding. Let me know what other info you need in order to get an accurate quote.

I'm trying to make a League of Legends (a video game) community website, both as a personal project and for practice.
Now the game has a lot of champions, each of whom have 5 unique abilities. Now, I thought about manually inputting all the details about each champion into a MySQL database, but that would long and tedious, and I don't really have the time for it now. Also, the game patches very oftern (like, once every 2 weeks) which changes many of the stats, etc. of the champion, and it is not possible for me to keep manually updating these every time there is a patch.

Fortunately, there is a League of Legends Wiki which has all the data I need in their specific champion pages, which they keep updated per patch. So I was wondering if there was any way to get the data from the divs in the wiki, and have it display on my site. What I want to do in my website is that whenever someone types a champion's name (in a post or whatever), I want it to display a hover-over dialog with some of the champions details. And a lot of other features such as that.

In plain English I need a way to :
> Tell PHP to go to the wiki's source code on a specific page
> Find a specific div container
> Get X data from there
> Pass X data into a function to display the hover-over

I think this way, I would not have to maintain a database as I can leech off the wiki's data.
I have not coded anything like this before, so I would like a few pointers as to how to achieve this. Any help will be appreciated!

Is it possible to download files from a website to my online websites root directory? reason I'm asking is because I have been downloading large video files to my computer which take about 20 minutes!! Then I use FTP to upload them to my site but it takes about 2-3 hours per video!! I was looking for a faster way! All help would be great!

I'm having trouble echoing $year in my script. Hello,

I stored a fsockopen function in a separate "called.php" file, in order to run it as another thread when it needs.
The called script should return results to the "master.php" script.
I'm able to run the script to get the socket working, and I'm able to get results from the called script. I tried for hours but I can't do the twice both 

My master.php script (with socket working):

hey guys im really just after a bit of help/information on 2 things (hope its in the right forum).   1. basically I'm wanting to make payments from one account to another online...like paypal does...im wondering what I would need to do to be able to do this if anyone can shine some light please?   2.as seen on google you type in a query in the search bar and it generates sentences/keywords from a database   example:   so if product "chair" was in the database whilst typing "ch" it would show "chair" for a possible match   I know it would in tale sql & json but im after a good tutorial/script of some sort.   if anyone can help with some information/sites it would be much appreciated.   Thank you

The script seems to work fine because I managed to upload a picture which was successfully inserted into my images folder and into the database.
Now the problem is, I can't figure out exactly how to write the script that displays the image on an html page. I used the following script which didn't work.
