[php]$action = (isset($_POST['action']) && $_POST['action'] != '') ? $_POST['action'] : 'view'; Allows me to ADD an item to the cart(add action passed from previous page via form) but not Delete or UPDATE Im not sure if I should have attached the pages or just pasted them but heres the code cart.php <?php require_once 'config.php'; require_once 'cart-functions2.php'; require_once 'functions.php'; require_once 'database.php'; $ID = $_POST["ID"]; $pSize = $_POST["size"]; $pcolour = $_POST["colour"]; ?> <?php $action = (isset($_GET['action']) && $_GET['action'] != '') ? $_GET['action'] : 'view'; switch ($action) { case 'add' : addToCart(); break; case 'update' : updateCart(); break; case 'delete' : deleteFromCart(); break; case 'view' : } $ID = $_POST["ID"]; $cartContent = getCartContent(); $numItem = count($cartContent); $pageTitle = 'Shopping Cart'; // show the error message ( if we have any ) displayError(); if ($numItem > 0 ) { ?> <form action="<?php echo $_SERVER['PHP_SELF'] . I've been bringing my skills up to date a lot doing this project, however, having said that I now can't figure out why my cart is not adding the items to the cart, i've checked the post data and the quantity is set to 1. Would really appreciate someone having a look at it and hopefully can see what i'm missing. you can see what it should look like (well so far lol) at here in my sandbox site. thanks again. (p.s. I have a webpage where all the database items are displyes in a table format.The table also has a check box.Upon clicking the delete button i need to delete all the items whish has the checkbox checked. How will i do that Hi, I am making a shopping cart and I have a problem. My code to remove the items from the cart works except for the first added item; I can delete all but that one.
<form class="col-md-12" method="POST" action="" id="formremove"> <input type="hidden" name="id_prod" value="<?php echo $row['id_producto'] ?>"> <input type="submit" name="btn-remove" class="btn btn-info btn-sm" id="remove" value="X"> </form> And this is the php
if ($_POST['btn-remove']) { $id_user=$_SESSION['id_user']; $id_prod = $_POST['id_prod']; $SQLREM = "DELETE FROM `carrito` WHERE id_user='$id_user' and id_producto='$id_prod';"; if (mysqli_query($conn, $SQLREM)) { echo '<script> alert("Ok"); window.location="/CBA/WAUW/cart.php"</script>'; } else { echo '<script> alert("Error"); window.location="/CBA/WAUW/cart.php"</script>'; }; } The connection to the database works fine; as I said before, it deletes everything but the first item added. I would be very grateful for any help.
Hello. I am trying to make a very simple shopping cart. The add to cart button on a product simply just insert a record to my shopping cart table in MySQL. and then my shopping cart just reads from that table, and displays in a table. What i want now is a "remove from shopping cart" button, a button that removes the product on the same line as the button. How do i do that? Thanks I have the following session variables for each item in a cart, which gets updated each time an item is added from the catalog // Register the session variables $_SESSION['ses_basket_items']=$ses_basket_items; $_SESSION['ses_basket_name']=$ses_basket_name; $_SESSION['ses_basket_amount']=$ses_basket_amount; $_SESSION['ses_basket_price']=$ses_basket_price; $_SESSION['ses_basket_stockcode']=$ses_basket_stockcode; $_SESSION['ses_basket_image']=$ses_basket_image; $_SESSION['ses_basket_size']=$ses_basket_size; $_SESSION['ses_basket_sizechoice']=$ses_basket_sizechoice; $_SESSION['ses_basket_id']=$ses_basket_id; I have a current cart page which loops through the sessions and displays them in a form. I have a check box for each item with the name="remove[]" and the value is the itemID which is the $ses_basket_id of item in the session. I have a select box with name="size[]" and the value is the users selected size for each item in the session which is $ses_basket_size Finnally I have a quantity text box with name="quantity[]" and the value is the users quantity value selected which is $ses_basket_amount. After all the looping through the products displaying each item in a row I have an update cart submit button name="change" outside the loop. What I want to know is how do I setup to perform each of these actions for each item in the session, how do I create the foreach loops for each array to delete or modify the correct items in the session if they are modified. I have the code to perform each task but dont know how to loop it through for each item in the session affecting only the correct session items. so if I have 3 items in the session for example, and I want to change the size of item 1, remove item 2 and change item 3 for quantity 1 to quantity 3 with only the 1 form and change button for all items and actions? Hope that makes sense any help with this would be appreciated. everything seems to b working correctly...except 'update cart' where if i click on update cart button it redirects me to d previous page...instead of calculating the input.. i m not able 2 figure out what d problem is.. here's d cart.php: <?php require_once 'library/config.php'; require_once 'library/cart-functions.php'; $action = (isset($_GET['action']) && $_GET['action'] != '') ? $_GET['action'] : 'view'; switch ($action) { case 'add' : addToCart(); break; case 'update' : updateCart(); break; case 'delete' : deleteFromCart(); break; case 'view' : } $cartContent = getCartContent(); $numItem = count($cartContent); $pageTitle = 'Shopping Cart'; require_once 'include/header.php'; // show the error message ( if we have any ) displayError(); if ($numItem > 0 ) { ?> <form action="<?php echo $_SERVER['PHP_SELF'] .'?action=update'; ?>" method="POST" name="frmCart" id="frmCart"> <table width="780" border="0" align="center" cellpadding="5" cellspacing="1" class="entryTable"> <tr class="entryTableHeader"> <td colspan="2" align="center">Item</td> <td align="center">Unit Price</td> <td width="75" align="center">Quantity</td> <td align="center">Total</td> <td width="75" align="center"> </td> </tr> <?php $subTotal = 0; for ($i = 0; $i < $numItem; $i++) { extract($cartContent[$i]); $productUrl = "index.php?c=$cat_id&p=$pd_id"; $subTotal += $pd_price * $ct_qty; ?> <tr class="content"> <td width="80" align="center"><a href="<?php echo $productUrl; ?>"><img src="<?php echo $pd_thumbnail; ?>" border="0"></a></td> <td><a href="<?php echo $productUrl; ?>"><?php echo $pd_name; ?></a></td> <td align="right"><?php echo displayAmount($pd_price); ?></td> <td width="75"><input name="txtQty[]" type="text" id="txtQty[]" size="5" value="<?php echo $ct_qty; ?>" class="box" onKeyUp="checkNumber(this);"> <input name="hidCartId[]" type="hidden" value="<?php echo $ct_id; ?>"> <input name="hidProductId[]" type="hidden" value="<?php echo $pd_id; ?>"> </td> <td align="right"><?php echo displayAmount($pd_price * $ct_qty); ?></td> <td width="75" align="center"> <input name="btnDelete" type="button" id="btnDelete" value="Delete" onClick="window.location.href='<?php echo $_SERVER['PHP_SELF'] . We our creating an admin page to display a list of all the items within a mysql database, these items are within a table called "item". Each item is categorized, these categories are in a table called "category" each category has an ID. There is then a table called "links" which links the items to their category using ID's. We want to display each item by their category with an edit and delete button. We have it so all the items display with the two buttons in no specific order however we are not too sure how to make it so they all display via their category. Here is the code we are currently using: Code: [Select] <?php $itemlist = mysql_query("SELECT item.item_name, item.item_description, item.item_image, item.item_price, item.item_id FROM item ORDER BY item.item_id ASC"); $item_count = 0; ?> <?php while( $row = mysql_fetch_array($itemlist) ){?> <?php if(($row['item.item_name'] == 1) && (isset($item_count) && $item_count < 1)) { ?> <?php $item_count ++; } ?> <li class="title"> <h3><?php echo $row['item_name'];?></h3><br /> <form action="ourworkadmin.php" method="get"> <input type="hidden" name="item_id" value="<?php echo $row['item_id'];?>" /> <input name="edit" value="Edit" type="submit" /> <input name="remove" value="Remove" type="submit" /> </form> </li> <?php } ?> </ul> <!--Close-items_list--> </div> Any help would be appreciated! Thank you!!! Hi, Im trying to make a shopping cart. Here is an extract while ($shoppingbasket = mysql_fetch_array($shoppingbasket2, MYSQL_ASSOC)) { echo " <form action='?' method='post'> <td><input type='text' value='$shoppingbasket[qty]' name='qty' /></td> </form> "; } The problem is if there are more than two entries in the cart so I have more than one textbox. I need each textbox assigned to the shopping cart ID to include in the WHERE cause to update the qty otherwise they all get updated the same qty. I hope this makes sences If you were working on a PHP shopping cart using SESSION variables for the cart item's product id and quantity, how would you update the cart if the same product were chosen? If the same product id was posted, how would you add the quantities and show just the same product? Hello. I'm trying to figure out the most logical way to update my shopping cart (table). When my checkout.php script loads, I need to run some checks on all cart items and take appropriate action. For example, a "Trial Offer" is only available to non-Members, so if a Member somehow has a "Trial Offer" in his/her shopping cart then I'd like my checkout.php script to remove that automatically from the Member's cart. So when checkout.php loads, one of the first things I do is to read the user's shopping cart items from the database. But what is the most logical way to update the shopping cart table? Do I load the shopping cart records into an array, then iterate through them, remove any non-applicable "Trial Offers" and then write things back to the shopping cart table? (If so, then how do I merge things? This is what is confusing me...) Or do I somehow iterate through the shopping cart records for the user and update each record at a time and avoid loading things into memory like using an array? Again, this seems like a simple enough task, but I'm not sure the smartest way to do things?!
Hi, I have set up a simple shopping cart with a coupon code function. I am having an issue with the Update basket and Checkout buttons, when you click update basket it loads the /checkout/ page but then redirects back to the /cart/ after a couple of seconds when it should just load a new page saying 'Shopping basket successfully updated' - also, when you click the proceed to checkout button it does the same, loads the /checkout/ page (which is correct) but then redirects back to /cart/. Here is the php code I have setup: // View Shopping Basket if (!isset($_GET['action']) || $_GET['action'] == 'products') { // Check if the shopping basket is empty if ($cart->get_num_products(session_id()) <= 0) { output('Your shopping basket contains no products!'); } else { if (!isset($_POST['submit'])) { $tpl->set('body', $body->fetch('index.tpl.php')); } else { $cart->update_contents(session_id()); output('Shopping basket successfully updated!'); redirect('/cart/', 2); } } } // Add Product to Cart if (isset($_GET['action']) && $_GET['action'] == 'add_product') { $product_id = isset($_GET['product_id']) && is_numeric($_GET['product_id']) ? Thanks, Paul Hi, i have had some help from these forums building a shopping cart system and i can add items to cart, empty cart but i need some help on how to update quantities. Here is the code i use to add items Code: [Select] $pid = $_POST['prodid']; $q = $_POST['qty']; if(array_key_exists($pid, $_SESSION['cart'])) { $_SESSION['cart'][$pid]=$_SESSION['cart'][$pid]+$q; } ELSE { $_SESSION['cart'][$pid]=$q; } Im displaying my items in a table with a text field for quantities which can be changed then click update. i see there is 2 things i need to do, first is to somehow create a loop for all the items in my table, i have no clue where to start on that, and then in that loop i have my update command. im assuming the code to update would be something like Code: [Select] $_SESSION['cart'][$pid]=$_SESSION['cart'][$pid][$qty] where $qty is the value of the text box in my table. Any help would be appreciated. Hey guys, Lovely forum. So I'm building a simple shopping cart from php and mysql. Whenever I update the quantity of the item that I want, I don't want it to duplicate all of the information but instead want it to merge the quantity together. Below is an example of what happens. Note that Test Item has been added to the cart 3 separate times with different quantities (2, 1, and 1). How can I merge this information to show Test Item once with the total quantity? I know it's some kind of merge, but I'm a coding noob. Thanks! Here is some (maybe) relevant information: Code: [Select] $insert = "INSERT INTO new_cart (sku, quantity, username) VALUES ('".$ssku."', '".$squantity."', '".$username."')"; mysql_query($insert); } echo "<table>"; $select = "SELECT * FROM new_cart JOIN products ON new_cart.sku = products.sku where '".$username."' = new_cart.username"; What needs to be changed or updated? EDIT: If you need more information, feel free to let me know and I'll post it. This is the code that I'm using for a shopping cart in order to update the quantity if the same product id is chosen. $cart_items is a two-dimensional session array composed of the id session array and the quantity session array. While looping through $cart_items, I create a temporary array $temp_array so that I can execute some logic on the array without changing the normal output. $temp_array is the $cart_items array without the last items which would be the $_REQUEST id and the $_REQUEST quantity. So the two $_REQUESTs are popped off with array_pop and then the remaining $_SESSIONs are compared to the $_REQUEST id with
$j = array_search($_REQUEST["element_id_$i"], $temp_array); if( $j==$temp_array[$i]) If $j is the key of the item in $temp_array, then the $_REQUEST is unset and the quantities for the item are added together.
There are two problems with this code. First of all the var_dump of the $temp_array is always an empty array but I am expecting to get an array with just the last element popped off. Secondly, foreach($cart_items as $item) { foreach($item["id"] as $key => $val) { foreach($item["quantity"] as $i => $value) { if ($key == $i){ $temp_array = $cart_items; $array = array_pop($temp_array); var_dump($temp_array); if (isset($_REQUEST["element_id_$i"]) && isset($_REQUEST["quantity_$i"])&& isset($value)){ $j = array_search($_REQUEST["element_id_$i"], $temp_array); if( $j==$temp_array[$i]) { echo "<b>SAME PRODUCT ADDED</b>"; $value += $_REQUEST["quantity_$i"]; unset($_REQUEST["element_id_$i"]); }}}}}}
This topic has been moved to PHP Freelancing. http://www.phpfreaks.com/forums/index.php?topic=347660.0 Hey Guys. I have tried looking this up on Google but the only answers I am finding is using there where clause. I wanted to know if I can update or delete a range of rows like from id 100-200. Is there a way to do that? Thanks!
hello i am a noob and very noob . can anybody help for me as i have been assigned to work with creating newspaper portal and i lied in my CV . so hope you guys understand Hello all, im new to this forum, im a noobie, just started coding about 3 weeks ago, don't be too hard on me.
My question is I wan't to check for challenges a user's team posted that have not been excepted after 1 day, then auto refund the user's team back there credits, and then also delete all the challenges. So far here is my code.
//Delete all matches not accepted after 1 day $arrayin = array(); $autorefund = mysql_query("SELECT * FROM `challenges` WHERE `a` = " . $team['id'] . " " . "AND `accepted` = 0 AND `completed` = 0 AND `chtype` = 1 AND (`expires` < " . ((int) time()) . ")"); if (mysql_num_rows($autorefund) > 0) { while ($autorefund = mysql_fetch_assoc($autorefund)) { $arrayin[] = $autorefund['id']; mysql_query("UPDATE `teams` SET `balance` = `balance` + " . $autorefund['credits'] . " " . "WHERE `id` IN (" . mysql_real_escape_string(implode(',', $arrayin)) . ")"); mysql_query("DELETE FROM `challenges` WHERE `a` IN " . "(" . mysql_real_escape_string(implode(',', $arrayin)) . ") " . "AND `accepted` = 0 AND `completed` = 0 AND `chtype` = 1 " . "AND (`expires` < " . ((int) time()) . ")"); } }FYI here is the code i had, it works fine, however it will only delete 1 challenge per team, not all of there challenges. $autorefund = mysql_query("SELECT * FROM `challenges` WHERE `a` = " . $team['id'] . " AND `accepted` = 0 AND `completed` = 0 AND `chtype` = 1 AND (`expires` < ".((int)time()).")"); if (mysql_num_rows($autorefund) > 0) { while ($autorefund = mysql_fetch_assoc($autorefund)) { if ($autorefund['accepted'] == 0 and $autorefund['expires'] < time()) { mysql_query("UPDATE `teams` SET `balance` = `balance` + " . $autorefund['credits'] . " WHERE `id` = " . $team['id'] . ""); mysql_query("DELETE FROM `challenges` WHERE `a` = " . $team['id'] . " AND `accepted` = 0 AND `completed` = 0 AND `chtype` = 1 AND (`expires` < ".((int)time()).")); } } }I inherited this script, its using deprecated statements, i know im not skilled to rewrite the entire site to use prepared statements.
In the same $-POST , i wanted to perform update and delete. With the updated and deleted database, I need to select the updated data from the database. However, it tells me: Warning: mysqli_num_rows() expects parameter 1 to be mysqli_result, boolean given in... .I am new to sql in php, is it true that i cannot perform sql in this way? Or is there any suggestion to perform select straight after deleting and updating?
